Three episodes were enough to change the way I see life. I know it may sound exaggerated, but let me explain.
I'm going to be honest with you, at first, I didn't pay much attention to this anime because I thought it was going to be the typical fantasy/isekai anime that fills every season. Well, no, this anime changes that formula of the hero's journey to begin purely with the end of that journey. It shows us the aftermath of all those adventures from a perspective that is rarely seen in this style of anime.
It shows us how the protagonist doesn't value that adventure because for

someone of her race, living for only ten years is not much time. But for her companions, it was, Frieren marked an important part in their short lives, and at the same time, that short time also left its mark on the protagonist in one way or another.
For me, someone who is so obsessed with how short human life can be and how unfair it is that we spend so little time in the world, it made me think too much about whether it's really worth living for so long and not giving proper value to our time.
Seeing how minutes pass for us but in reality, decades go by, puts us in Frieren's shoes in a very compelling way. And if the story continues in the same vein, with this interesting narrative and doesn't deviate to give us the typical clichés of an anime that only seeks to sell figures and posters, we could undoubtedly be witnessing one of the great anime of the decade.
The animation, on its part, also lives up to the task, being more than decent. Although, more than for its animation, speaking of the visual aspect, this anime excels in art and those beautiful shots that are shown to us while the characters are on some journey or adventure.
