I can only suggest you to watch this if you are fine with what I've mentioned below.
Starting with characters, they kinda give a realistic vibe like not just most of the anime figures.
Our male lead may seem a bit boring but he is a guy with responsibilities and he is trying to be rational about what he is experiencing with Goshiki. He is actually just a decent young man, which we are not really used to, unlike cool harsh mysterious etc. ikemens or dumb harem boys of anime world. He is sympathizable because he always has to return his manga production and prioritize his
...
siblings. I can continue but I would want you to confirm by watching yourself for more.
Then our female lead is a really pure, curious, sincere, respectful girl, and she is very adaptive to new situations and people in her current life. Also, Machi's reactions are just as how the audience mostly have in mind, and her quick understanding of occasions is likable. Other characters are nice in general, too, but there is no need to mention them further.
The romance is developing in a honest and blushful way, but story's pacing may feel a bit slow as many animes do. The natural reality about Goshiki is as if used as a plot device until now, that part needs more elaboration.
It's obvious the effort put into the coloring of hairs, faces and eyes. However the animation is just could be said alright or average. The characters are very delicately designed and cared for. So in total it's watchable without extreme irritation.
Voice acting is very compatible with the personalities and appearances of characters. Background music is nothing special, though op and ed songs are chill and light.
If you are okay with ordinary characters and slow paced story yet fast progressing romance then you can consider watching this relaxing anime.

A fairy tail-ish romance with both some little comedy, serious moments of drama, and sudden cuteness that will make you smile would be my introduction of "Niehime to Kemono no Ou".
Animation is alright and coloring is light.
Not only op but also ed songs are top-notch and anime clips of them are well fitting.
The plot for now is kinda developing a bit too fast in my opinion, but that's just how it is as in the original source, the manga, so let's see. Thereby no time to get bored.
The interactions and building bonds between characters are intriguing; sometimes funny and caring, sometimes cold and judgemental

in an understandable way with one to another. Our main characters are likable in a natural way, not just because they have traumatic experiences but because their personality traits and behaviors. For one Sariphi is a pure-hearted, friendly, reckless, and lovely girl. Then the king is a considerate, protective, blunt and witted man, there you have a surprising nice existential secret about him if you are spoiler-ed or if you've watched/ will watch/read.
Voice acting is quite good. Starting from the mcs to the side characters "seiyuu"s are well aged at what they do, so no problem there.
Finally, don't expect a strategic masterpiece or the usual "Beauty and Beast" and watch this if you like fantastic fairy tales and miss the sensations you felt while watching cartoons as a child. To elaborate, I can only suggest you to give it a try to test if you agree or disagree with me, in general. Also, dont forget to leave your prejudices behind, if you have any ;)

So light, so delightful...
The animation is bright and the colors are refreshing.
Characters are cute, outside and inside. They have their student lives going on with fluid emotions, hopes, and worries.
The story goes pretty fast, without unnecessary long drama. It shows us not everything can go perfectly, and things can go where we don't want or expect them to. But life still goes on. There are other things to do, and responsibilities to bear.
This anime has both a bit of realistic and a bit of a dreamy side. In the end, it is so beautiful and light, like a milky desert. The beginning of

It is sad but not surprising to see that this series doesn't get what it deserves, at least for now. I mean the rate 6.77 (3,088 users) and the lack of interest in this anime. I remember the same situation with Koukyuu no Karasu, it is totally different in many aspects from this one but it's rate got higher as more eps were out, so there's the same possibility here.
Yes, this anime gives the vibe of 2010s animation quality but I am not complaining, in contrast, I find it decent considering the worse examples, the budget, and the effort of producers since it's not even

adapted from manga they are all by themselves in animation. The coloring is gloomy but imo is synchronized with the dramatic/realistic side even though that counts as a minus. But the appearing pictures at the important moments is a little off, they are well drawn but they break my focus on the ep.
For now especially our main leads didn't show brilliant personal traits, they are seemingly not much clever or courageous but they took a path to do what is expected of them, they are trying, reflecting a normal human with some good actions. We'll see how it'll go.
So; coming to the story, I think it is developing well, even that sometimes the storytelling can go too fast to put up with. The world is rationally explained. For now the storyline after our leads' most likely union is not much predictable, what will happen after that? What truths will be revealed?
To mention op and ed are listenable without skipping, at least to me. Other sounds and soundtracks are nothing special or unusual but fitting, so alright.
In the end, it is watchable if the plot takes you in because characters are not much annoying and the animation quality is not that bad for today. So it's understandable that this anime can attract few as a result, but it doesn't mean it's bad.

It is a cute anime with good designs and coloring which successfully animates the manga. Like a slice-of-life anime, it has a slow pace and there is not much romantic progress other than cute daily things. Most romance anime, especially the manga-originated ones are examples of this stability that it feels like it's a loop going nowhere. But in reality, life goes on and I mean, something significant needs to happen at some point. But in this kind of series all we have is fluff, both parties feel the growing love but they don't take charge but keep it the way it is. So will
...
there be confessions, I think the answer is obvious. (From this part it's my PREDICTION but we'll see what will happen: They just animate a part of the source, of course but, that leaves me half-hearted. And usually, the couple gets together at the end of the "story" but anime cannot display it because it didn't yet happen in the source or episodes were not enough to! And there comes no sequel in most cases.) I know I spoke too general but that's the typical trope. What I would like to see is the pairs after them becoming couples too, because becoming a couple doesn't mean, oh the happy end, it's not a fairy tale after all in life. It's my first review so it may not be a proper review but thanks for giving your time.
