Everyone in this show is obsessed with dumb stuff that makes no sense. Every single character has the emotional and intellectual ability of a cardboard box.
Subaru is just absolutely mind-numbingly reckless and makes the dumbest decisions endlessly and gets bailed out by the plot. He gets bailed out by a new powerful character's fancy for him or just because his power to return by death. It doesn't matter what happens, nothing matters. For some reason Subaru is the messiah now and everyone is waiting for him to save the day on every single situation.
Emilia is useless now. Spends the whole season failing cause
...
Subaru isn't there to help her I guess. How does this girl even tie her own shoes without Subaru to do it at this point?
Witches are all obsessed with Subaru for some dumb reason. All of them like him, makes it a harem all the sudden when Subaru is so useless about everything.
New characters are all terrible. Boring. One dimensional. Terrible world building.
Final problem with this show, the author of this show doesn't seem to understand what love is. All of the depicted "love" is lust. Subaru lusts after Emilia. Rem is lusting for Subaru. Love isn't just doing shit for someone because you think they are special. Its a mutual understanding and emotional connection. If both parties aren't emotionally on the same page, which none of these characters are, then it just isn't love.
Truly terrible show all around.

This show is so overrated. Watched it and it was ok but like the reviews here are all like 10/10?
Feels like just the same formula of any shounen with a new big baddy thats stronger than all the old big baddies and then ass pull powerup for the MC. There isn't even a conclusion yet and this whole series revolved around rewriting over old backstory in the most uninspired way possible to give more chosen one vibe to the MC. Even 13 episodes felt like a lot since you can guess what was going to happen half way through and the second half was slow
...
AF exposition broken up by shitty comedy elements that don't mix at all with the serious nature of what was at stake.
Overall enjoyment is quite low for this. It was OK. 6/10

Warning This contains spoilers:
Dr Stone is a show about science aimed at people with the scientific knowledge of a middle schooler. It's not engaging if you know any more than that. Sure you might recognize the different steps needed to complete one of the "projects" the story goes through but they basically handwave over anything but the basics that it might as well be magic or alchemy. "Oh lets walk to the top of a mountain during a thunderstorm to catch lightning in a piece of iron to make a magnet". Do that if you want to die sure. But of course they don't die.
...
By the time they were building a "cellphone", I had to facepalm every time they mentioned it. They built what was essentially a radio, but calling it a cellphone/smartphone is the dumbest shit. Like does Senku not know what a radio is and what the difference between the 2 is? The only reason is the the show is aimed at 12yos today who probably never seen a radio and only knows what a smartphone is I guess.
Another point is the "war" aspect of the show where it has the shitty shonen trope of not killing anyone if you are the good guys while the bad guys do w/e they want. It makes it completely unrealistic and aggravating.
Another complaint is the "projects" that are undertook by Senku, they are all rubbish and the dumbest way to do anything. Making katanas is just the worse weapon you can imagine. Samurais historically only used them as secondary weapons, they used bows as the primary, why the heck did they not make bows if they are gunna fight a war? Swords in general are just bad weapons in wars and historically not used as primary weapons because spears allow you to fight really far away if you have any formation at all.
The plot also heavily relies on there being literally only 1 bat cave in the world or something cause in the year that Senku didn't have access to it, he didn't even try to look for one.
Also for a village started by astronauts, they seem to have no technological progress in 3700 years. Which is just fundamentally not realistic. I guess everyone has luke warm IQ except Senku the Messiah.
At the core of it, the concept of needing to reinvent science in a world is cool but the show is way too kiddish to be enjoyable for me. Some of the comedy is decent but there are just so much bad "science" and it ruins the whole show that is supposed to be about "science".

This anime does not hold up at all.
Viewing this in 2021, it is not worth it, there is just much better anime out now and this show's edginess just doesn't cut it to hold it up as a decent show.
Maybe back in the day it looks decent and the edgy gore gave it some appeal but these days it just doesn't do anything. What you have here is an edgy harem anime without much substance, outdated animation and outdated style.
The story is somewhat unique but at the same time so generic. It is not a long series but feels very dragged out. Just
...
overall an unpleasant experience.

This anime sucks so much. I was watching based on positive reviews. I was bored after the first 2 episodes but I pressed on. I thought it would get better but it doesn't. It's not even the entertaining kind of bad but it's the boring and annoying kind of bad. The ultimate payoff at the end was even worse than I could have imagined.
The plot is some junk without any rhyme or reason. Just a bunch of crap some 12 year old would find deep. Random Illuminati bullshit strung together with some girl as the MC. God damn it like has all this bullshit
...
put together but none of it matters or makes sense. It's like a mentally challenged person read basic philosophy and technology and then came up with some mary sue self insert of their retarded self into a story like that.
The whole thing is just unbearably pointless. I get it was partially going for that but it also made things over dramatic for no reason. And the fact that none of it matters in the end. If you have even a cursory understanding of anything touched on in the show, you'd get nothing except oh cool it's trying to include that one thing. Never really digging deeper than just mentioning it because it's trying to be deep.
The constant power line vibration sound is insanely annoying and happens every couple of minutes. Idk cause the show is obsessed with electricity lines? If it wasn't for this shit, the sound would be fine but this completely ruins it.
This show also is old now so the visuals which may have once been good as now dated and not really a positive any more. The art isn't at fault but just because how old it is, it is barely watchable give how bad everything else is. The atmosphere is supposed to feel empty but still, without much of a gradient in the show, the whole thing feels dull.
Overall, this anime is so bad I can't believe I wasted 4.5 hours watching it. I wish I did myself a favor and dropped it after 2 episodes like I wanted but I put too much faith in humanity and their collective score on this site that I watched the whole thing hoping it would all reveal something great at the end and came out angry at how crap it all turned out.

This show is surprisingly good. I initially dropped the show after the first episode due to the little cunt that is Umaru but after coming back and finishing it years later, I felt that ultimately the show was very fun and it developed with likable characters and a wholesome story.
As the show developed, Umaru became less of a cunt although not totally cunt free even at the end. Her friends are all very likable tho a bit 1 dimensional. As a slice of life comedy, it is not boring or over the top and has a certain charm about it. Even the little hamster
...
bitch becomes likable enough as she grows with the show's progression.
Although the show isn't amazing in any particular way, it does a good job of being interesting while not being too focused on anything serious. If you like light and fun slice of life, this show will be enjoyable. Just don't focus too hard on how much of a little shit Umaru is.

The show blasts you full random scenes and you are lost for what is happening because of the nonlinear story telling. But as soon as it comes together, it just becomes really stupid as the suspension of disbelieve is left with a story with very little substance. Even when the whole story is known there is a lot of plot holes and so many characters that don't have good motivation for anything they do. Baccano just feels like a story that would have been much less popular if it was linear because less people would be fooled by the disarray and more people would see
...
the thin plot, stupid characters and incoherent theme.
After watching and processing the story, there really is nothing much to get from it except a bunch of people gets killed and also there is a bunch of gangsters and immortal people. There really isn't any explanation as to why the devil made the people immortal and why the guy who knew how to make people immortal won't share it. The bad guy is just bad because he is old and cranky and wanted to make more people immortal but couldn't because the guy who did know wouldn't share.
There is also a lot of fighting and blood and killing which none of which seem to add anything to the story. The murderers are idolized with a glamor of being really manly because they physically mandate their will on others by killing people, torturing people or fighting other people who don't die because they are either immortals or just as manly. It is never explain why they kill people and want to murder except maybe they had a bad childhood or something. It really just made the story confusing as you the viewer want to know their motives and in the end, they didn't have any except they could. Maybe it was trying to be existentialist about it but it even fails to do that because people are alive and happy at the end.
Comparing this story the reservoir dogs and this story was terrible in comparison. Which really made it feel shittier than it is with how much hype there is in MAL.
Also this show has way too many characters whos eyes don't open all the way unless they are serious and when you use a trope this much in one show, it cheapens it to the point of parody but the show takes itself seriously and it just makes it worse.

This show is about a guy who has a fetish for freaky demi-humans but can't admit it to himself or anyone so he just spends his days helping them. He tells himself, and everyone else, it's "scientific" and that he just wants to know more but he'd do just about anything for a demi. I'm sure he would lick the dirt off their dirty feet if he could. He emits an air of pathetic-ness that nobody in the anime can sense but you as a viewer can easily see. It just feel like watching someone who has wasted their life away so the only fun
...
they can get out of their life is to try to live vicariously through children, which isn't so bad but the children also happened to be freaky demi children that he is into. You can tell how much he wants the demi children from how hard he tries. It's not like it's sexualized in any way but there is just no good explanation for it otherwise.
The demis themselves are just typical spoiled anime girls with little twists because they are demi. They are perfectly normal kids who get spoiled because of their "disability". And then this 40 year old guy, who isn't related to them, being super into them is just the whole show.
All in all, it was a pretty fun anime for the first half when you don't feel like this guy is nearly as pathetic and try hard but eventually it's painfully apparent that he tries too hard. And at that point, you just have ask yourself why he does it. And the answer has to just be that he is into freaky demi children. I mean this guy is way too considerate and kind to these kids. It's like he spends his whole day and night thinking of how to "help" them. As someone watching from afar, it just becomes weird.

This is an anime about 2 game addicted neets written by people who have never playing a game competitively or talked to anyone who was a neet. If these characters are half as smart as they are said to be, they would easily succeed in the real world. But they choose to become neets. I have no idea why at this point because I dropped this at episode 2. From what it shows of them in the real world, they are just amazing at games. Like they are MLG 420 no scope tier so much so that they can't lose at anything, there might as
...
well be hit marker in every scene. How they don't just join some pro gaming scene can only be explained by the writers never having heard of professional gaming. The little one is suppose to be able to beat top chess AIs because she is sooooo smart. Maybe if she just demoed that in the real world, they wouldn't have to be neets but alas, no such thing as being a professional chess player exists.
The big one is suppose to be so smart and strategic and the little one is suppose to be a super intelligent super computer or something (shes a human but so smart that she doesn't have any emotions or anything). These 2 are suppose to make up the main cast but I can't seem to relate to either of them at all. Their arrogance is just so apparent that I'd rather root for anyone but them. Their only humanity seem to be when they are making terrible sexual jokes. Their online name they use is "" (blank), because that way, their name is as empty as their soul. I almost cut myself on that edge. They are said to never interact with other players except when beating them so I assume they have no social skills what so ever.
Because these 2 shitheads can't seem to do anything exept be edgy neet gamers in the real world, they get sent to another world where games rule and everything is govern by games. And so everything changes. Because they changed world, somehow that cures them of their aspergers because suddenly the big one can now read social ques and talk to people.
This new world doesn't seem different to me from the real world but now there are like 10 rules and they are all poorly defined what happens seems to be everyone just jump through loop holes and cheats to win, just like how laws work in real life for people who abuse them! Except there are no lawyers. So everyone not abusing the rules get screwed even more and not just the ones who can't afford armies of lawyers.
Which is dumb because if you were to take any challenge in this world, you'd have to be idiot to not draft a binding document with all the terms defined or else you are going to get cheated. They immediately demonstrate the need for lawyers by introducing the third character becoming enslaved because of little technical wording when rules are defined. She to contribute as much to the show as Yoko did in TTGL, which is tits and ass (since in the little one already has the loli fan service covered I guess). Shes just their to be a joke about how dumb she is and how much tits and ass she has.
Because of how inherently flawed I found the show to be from the start and how I can't relate at all to these edgy non characters. I can't see why this show is so highly rated. I guess this show would have been more interesting if I was younger but all the echi makes me think this isn't aimed at younger kids, I think even as a teenager I would have seen through how dumb everything was.
I can only say this show would have probably been more interesting if the characters were more likable because the actual plot and elements aren't that bad once you look past all the logical bullshit that I was complaining about. I don't really have a problem with most of the story elements being that way but since I couldn't relate to the characters, the show made me focus on them so much more so.
Overall the sound and art is decent I guess but their aren't really interesting in any way, the art is just overly colorful and the sound is what you'd expect from a anime with some budget.
If you don't mind characters that only have sexual jokes and being really smart as their only traits, then this can probably be good. Otherwise I can't recommend.

This show doesn't quite give what you'd expect if you were going in to find a good story because frankly, the main overarching story does not get resolved at all and you are pretty much left with guessing what actually is happening. The motives of the main villain is never explored and nothing is actually resolved with the conflict as both sides are exactly where they start out at by the end of it. That would what you'd expect out a terrible show but there is still a bit there if you are really digging which people take the chance to cling onto. However, if
...
you are watching for the story, this might be one of the worst show you could watch as it will leave you wondering why did any of it even happen once you finish it.
The general tone of the show regarding Art, Sound and Characters are what you'd expect and overall quite generic. The tsundere female MC, the shy but nice male MC, the cute and protective friend of female MC and a cast of somewhat generic anime tropes as background characters. All this glued together with references to popular fairy tales. All of this makes for an average school anime with a slight twist. 6/10 material right there, 5/10 for the terrible story right?
All except for how much enjoyment I got out of the parody elements of the show. The whole show makes a lot more sense if you don't take it at face value and just feel how well the tropes are played. The evil school with the evil people are evil because the show needs conflict, they even tell you this in one of the episodes. The whole plot is a cheesy mess just because it's not important. The character dialog is often covered up by the 4th-wall breaking narrator because it's not important. It's all just there because it has to be. It is only uses it as a way to put the characters in situations where you can get their interactions.
The show was quite an enjoyable sitcom and the tropes played are enjoyable if you aren't super serious about it. The way the characters play off each other in situations are both fun and funny. That is what made the anime worth watching. It knows why a lot of comedies like this are funny and it makes a joke of the other aspects of some shows like this.
One thing that this show does however seems to be that it is way too subtle with some of these parody elements. I feel like there is a joke there about why the kids never go to the adults but the reasoning is just be the kids don't want to worry the adults which is a joke in itself but they could have done a lot more to emphasize it. Thing like this could be played a lot more openly. This makes it harder to tell when the show is actually joking or just bad. This doesn't bother me too much but I can see a lot of people missing it as a joke, if it was intended as one. I don't claim that all the terrible plot holes and bad writing are just for comedic effect but the show was genuinely enjoyable to me and I over look all that just because of it.
Not the best anime but if you can enjoy it as a parody, the comedy is fun and enjoyable.
