similarities: -Shoujo harem. -(Isekai) Dim school girl travels from modern world into magic past, she's more important to that world than this one. -fantasy. -Style of the characters is kind of similar. -Both have sequels and side stories if you're hungry for more once you're done watching the main series. differences -Harukanaru gets more serious/dramatic than Meiji Tokyo Renka, MTR is more light-hearted. -MTR has more of a focus in the romantic aspect of the story, while Harukanaru is more focused on the character development of the MC. -The male characters feel more fleshed out in Harukanaru, **but** they're not any more or any less loveable because of that, you just get to know them better.

The artwork and feel of both are very similar, while the stories are different both deal with the supernatural in similar ways. The pacing and character development are also very much alike.

bishies... reverse harem, and there is the slightly supernatural feel where the main girl ... - SPOILER ALERT - has amnesia in a sort of alternate universe and is sorrounded by bishies helping her, - END OF SPOILER - they have the same feel, and the pacing is VERY similar, although in miracle train there isn't just ONE female lead, the art is also similar. case on point, if you liked one you will like the other one.

the art is VERY similar, I just started watching Tokyo Ravens and I couldn't help but remember Shiki, also because of the small countryside feel in the begining, and then both deal with the supernatural, there are also similarities between some of the female characters... but Shiki is gory and scary while tokyo ravens is not.
