I'd like to start out saying "YES, THIS IS A HAREM MANGA." That being said, the harem motif isn' t really the defining factor of this story, but more like an instigator for action (without it, I'd see no reason for all these monster girls to conglomerate together)

However, not everyone in the harem is in love with main guy. Some have a mutual respect, others feelings more akin to sibling-hood. So, it doesn't always become a love brawl (even though there is always a match-up every chapter)

The premise of the story is a bit farfetched, but the execution isn't done half bad. The way ... in which the author introduces each character almost makes you believe they are all "REAL" species in the amount of attention to finer details to the real life counterpart each species is based off.

But, the downside to having so many characters is that very FEW of them are multifaceted, Most of the characters hold singular personally roles (in spades) and hardly deviate from character. But, being able to see so many of my favorite monster girls as characters makes me realize there has to be shortcomings somewhere.

To me, the manga is HEAVY on teaching a moral lesson (yes, there IS a lesson in this harem madness) in that we should all accept our fellow man ("interspecies"). Because of the preachy nature of said moral, the main guy character can come out a bit one-dimensional in that he accepts ANYTHING to a fault.

I wish that sometimes he would deviate from his "goody-too-shoes" nature and have a darker side that comes to light (but that is probably just me looking for an anti-hero main guy).

Still, the overall tone of the manga never stays in one place for too long, just the right amount of balance between harems, comedy, and moral ethics thrown in to make a ever interesting manga to read. (ALSO SO MUCH FANSERVICE FOR A MONSTER GIRL FANATIC LIKE ME!!!!)

I'm pretty sure that everyone already knows by now that this relation starts off as a "facade for peace" sort of thing, but in the later chapters we start to see that, that might not be the case anymore, as euda starts to develop feelings fpr johanne. the story starts to pick up around the end of volume one into the beginning of volume 2.

We finally get some dramatic plot around the end of volume one into the beginning of volume 2; where they peace couple try to keep their engagement all while trying to thwort the plans the people (which consists of a terrorist ... group johanne previously capured, his older brother who fears his brothers influence over the nation, and more people yet to come) hell--bent on taking johanne down.

IF you continue to to read on you'll find that the relationship between euda and johanne starts to grow and what will piss you off the most is how many times they will ALMOST KISS... but if you can hold out long enough they finally do in volume 3...

Sp far it seems to be a touching story and i plan on following this manga al the way to the end, and i hope others will too...

This manga is very good, but it has one flaw; and that was actually starting to read the manga. I know that, for myself, staying with the manga after the first few chapters was very hard, in fact i put it aside numerous times.

When Neuro obtains the office is where the story gets interesting (so stick with it until then), after that you are gripped by suspense and witness many clever ways of killing a person, the science behind the puzzle become very complicated and intriguing later on.

The only OTHER bad side of this manga is that some adored supporting characters will die ... (I won't say much so as to not give it away) and that can piss you off a bit. And might I add that a lot of the deaths are caused by the interwoven fates of all the other characters. ALL background story is actually prevelent to the advancement of the story, so pay close attention.

So, I suggest you stick with it in the beginning, you won't regret the time you spent.

I found this manga touching... It basically outlines the development of feelings in a sex-based species (succubus) and how one such succubus gains feelings for our main character.

What could be considered "ecchi" scenes are no more than the "kiss" scenes from Rosario + Vampire... no more than is needed... and the worst is just over exposed clevage...

The most saddening part is not knowing when she will come out of the bottle again... and learning about lilim's past engagements... overall a nice quick read and a good plot line... not TOO stereotypical...
