Once again Ufotable x Type-Moon did not disappoint. Watching it in the cinema (in Japan) with proper loudspeakers can enable me to experience the thrill of this fantastic display of animation choreography. The amount of time and effort by Ufotable once again demonstrates its class in perfecting high-quality animation and its visual arts. The unlimited budget work studio took time off from anime series and dedicate all their resources into this project and came out in fruition, and I could not be prouder for them.
The movie itself was breathtaking, astonishing and spectacular to watch. I was lost in words walking out of the cinema
...
as this was one amazing movie adaption to its visual novel source. Despite cutting out, or twisting the moments from its origin was well dealt with to make it as original as possible. The amount of detail dedicated to the colourisation of the background scenery was aesthetic and blends well into the climate of the moment.
Regarding the fight scenes, the amount of detail to each moment and time-lapse of the fight was well constructed to demonstrate the fluidity of the animation. Not to mention the sounds and background music incorporated fantastically to illustrate the intensity of the battle. I enjoyed the fight scene more compared to all moments.
The story building near the end was speechless as the unexpected happened, and demonstrated that Ufotable is willing to go beyond and adapted to the essential character development moment in this movie. Providing us with a much darker twist to the story than the previous routes. My view on Sakura for the past two routes changed entirely after this movie and will play a much more significant role in the final movie.
Finally, Ufotable did well with the changed in the tone of the last part of the movie from very lively/family oriented moments, and turns into dark/suspense moments, giving us a rollercoaster of feels. But by far, Heaven Feels is now regarded as my most favourite route compared to all routes.
Hope this convince you to watch the movie.

Simply the best yuri anime I have ever watched since becoming an otaku. At first, I thought its just going to be another day of girls kissing and flirting with each other. How am I so wrong. Our protagonist Yuu is asexual, which makes it hard for our lovely couple to become one fully. However, Nanami is okay with it, and Yuu plays along being a yuri lover with no romantic feelings whatsoever, yet. The complication then escalates to how Nanami wants Yuu to continue to hate her and not love her at all,
...
be by her side and let her love you. See the complicated relationship, but this aspect is what makes this show stands out.
But what attracts me about this show is the fantastic animation and the beautifully written story. Demonstrating the hardship being in a yuri relationship. Not to mention the yuri moments which stands out for me the most. But Nanami experience is what makes this show spark as she dealt with many hardships to meet her ideals and Yuu played the critical role of being there for her.
The opening music is the icing on the cake, loved the lyrics and the fantastic melody being turned into beautiful music to listen too. Also captures the beauty of our lovely couple.

There is so much WOW factor in this anime and easily my top 10 for 2018. Despite the misleading title and the visual art that may put people off by thinking its another romcom series. How are we so wrong, plus the synopsis did not do justice with how amazing the series was.
Story (10/10) - You cannot walk out of this show and say oh it's just another decent high-school anime. This series takes it to another level by utilising the 'puberty symptom' at its fullest to represent how each character is facing as they are in high school or growing up. It captures
...
the hardship of overcoming those symptoms during our teen days, or even into adulthood. Also, like the fact that it's not just a simple fix but requires them to face it head-on and find solutions to resolve these issues. This carefully crafted story, supported with the talented director for this series, demonstrated how each episode our protagonist went out of his way to help each character to fix their adolescent issues, and increase his harem.
Art (9/10) - Stunning I would say. Especially the well-orchestrated opening video captures the magnificent background image of this series. Not to mention the character design, well made them quite attractive to the audience eyes. Simply the time spent on character design by the team of illustrators to effectively reflect the beauty of the characters.
Character (9/10) - Ahh yes, our man Sakuta becomes the man of the season. Despite his lazy, dull and straightforward personality. What I like about him is that he's willing to step out of his comfort zone, which is doing nothing, and go out of his way to support each character of different arcs. But I am more interested MAI-SENPAI! Cute, tsundere and adorable mature character just made my day and how she understands Sakuta very well and showed him the highest level of trust. Cares for him after his public confession and the blush the needs to protect.
Sound (8/10) - I enjoyed the opening music 'kimi no sei' so much that it now sticks in your head. The well-tuned music gives a lot of energy, and you never get tired of hearing it.
Enjoyment (9/10) - Saying that I enjoyed the show is an understatement. Every episode I am just so invested in seeing whether the problems will be solved or does another barrier to it. But what I enjoyed more was the interaction between Sakuta and the girls as he loves to tease them with his shameless opinions. I love slice-of-life romance anime after all.
Overall (9/10) - IF we look back on this show, it can reflect on how we experience in our teen days, and this anime clearly showed all those symptoms we faced. Not to mention our protagonist Sakuta have to suffer as he reached the limit of his abilities.

This is one amazing, aesthetic, and full of an emotional roller-coaster, toying with our heart to make us end up sad, or near tearing up. This movie was outstanding and will stay in my memory forever as it captures the importance of parenting. Regarding the animation, expect nothingness from PA Works, producing striking graphic works and able to animate the emotions beautifully. Although the character design is a bit off, the story itself compensated it very well.
The movie itself is a roller-coaster, from slow-paced scenes to intense scenes and then back to slow, jumping between timelines is also what makes this show a bit
...
confusing. But each chapter in the movie is well documented and able to witness the development of each character. But time lapsing without the indication of the amount of year passed by will be the only thing I will criticise the anime for, as it misses out some key moments, especially near the end.
Overall, this is the most fantastic, dramatic anime movie I have watched since “Your Name”. I just hope there are more movies like this. I also get to see how Maquia develops as a person through her time spent with Ariel is the most unforgettable moments ever.
Mari Okada, the director, I have the utmost respect for your role as the director. You just made a masterpiece of emotional overload.
If I must sum up this movie into one sentence:
“RESPECT your caring mother, she is the HERO in your life.”

With the misleading title turns out to be a comedy/romance/drama anime. Well, the trailer pretty much gave it away that it doesn't involve Tokyo Ghoul like scenario. The story focuses on a popular girl (Sakura) utilising her last moment with a guy (Haruki) that found out about her disease. At this point, the story kicks on with those two spending time together, but with no romantic feeling around it.
The protagonist was drag into her selfish request to tick-off her lists to experience before her death, as well as holding onto the secrete from everyone else including her best friend. This pretty
...
much covers 50% of the movie and quite a relaxing atmosphere as they spent their time going on dates, field trips to Hakata and even spent the night together and played drinking games. However, with all these couple activities he still showed no interest in her only sympathy for the fact she is dying, and his suspicion grew when he saw her night bag in the hotel.
Despite being faked lovers, the news of them hanging out together does not sit well with everyone at school, including her best friend and ex-boyfriend. At one point the ex-boyfriend showed hostility to this situation and was told off by her.
As the story progresses, the ever faked relationship slowly starts to end as he was fed up with her jokes as they spent time together, like faking a kiss. But soon, after the confrontation with her ex, he rapidly grew more interested in her and soon became a couple for a short period. Not long, she was hospitalised as her condition develops and want to experience her last moment watching the fireworks. Eventually, she was discarded from the hospital, but things got worse.
This story pretty much has the same vibe as 'Your Lie in April', but her death was predetermined from the start of the movie. But this movie focuses on an introvert person, who only reads with no friends, develops as a person and become more open to people. As much as I want to say its a sad movie, I didn't feel much of the emotions as it was hinted her death was near the latter half of the episode. But the written diary of her last moment was the point where the audience starts sobbing.
The animation was great especially the animation of the sea and water; the music was played with a cheerful tone and a balanced well with heated moments. Regarding character development, covers the majority of the story. But it's worthwhile to enjoy this movie to experience some emotions, but directed in a way, I didn't feel as sad. Awarding this movie with a score of 7 is quite generous of me.
Hope you guys enjoy the movie.

Hanebado was by far the most entertaining sporting anime of this season, and for my taste, its up there with Kuroko no Basket. This is because of the inclusion of all the necessity of a typical sporting anime, such as 'Drama', 'Social Conflict', "Redemption' and 'Intense Sporting Scenes'.
What I enjoyed the most is the well-animated badminton games to represent how the athletes were feeling during the game, and showing some realism to how badminton was played. What amazes me is the amount of detail put into the movement of sweat and muscle cramping during the match. Other than that, the character animation was indeed
...
well drawn to meet my liking. Despite focuses more on the girl's side, the amount of detail into the action was equivalent to what you see in male sporting shows.
Regarding the story itself, it shows a lot of family issues and psychological games. In this case, Ayano suffers from a family problem and using this to her advantage throughout the latter half of the season. As a result of becoming villainous after her match with her childhood nemesis. In this show, family relationship played a huge factor, especially for Ayano's case. As for Nagisa, despite acting selfishly at the early parts of the season, she progressively becomes more mature throughout and was able to move on from her dark past. But as for the rest of the club members, many were to be their last match in high school tried their best to make most of it but all failed to do so. The amount of drama and conflicts were amazingly balanced in this amazing sports show and became my all time favourite.
Regarding the sounds/music, I didn't quite like the opening despite representing energetic feeling for a sporting anime. But the sound used during matches and confrontation was well adapted to scenes depicting the emotions of the characters & the atmosphere.
I truly recommend to those to check out my reaction video's on Youtube to see how I enjoyed this show and I do a short review after each episode. From there you will see more content than from this review. But hope this review convinces you all to give this fantastic all-girls badminton sporting anime.

Well, how can I say this, Cells At Work is by far the most educational anime I have seen so far in my history of watching anime. Not to mention its the first time I've seen such show focuses mainly on the interior of the human body, other than Ozzy and Drix. The whole concept concentrates primarily on immunology and injury-response of cells in our body, and yet we haven't seen its involvement in reproduction. It is fascinating how directly pathology/biology explanation can be made so interesting and provides valuable information.
Story: 8
In the early half of the season, each week we get to
...
see how different cells respond to different bacterial invasion into our circulation and organs. Each week we received new lectures on how each cells function (& formed) within the specific area of the body/infection. It fascinates me how narrative the information was provided and application of their duty to the disease. Not to mention we get to witness amazing relationship development between cells to add an entertainment touch to it. Also, comedy was added to provide laughter rather than the boring teaching of functions. The story was directed well to captivate dramatic scenes such as fights between bacteria, and yes, cancer itself. The final episode was icing on the cake as we witness how determined the cells are to keep the body alive.
Art: 8
Fantastic character design especially with the details of the clothing of macrophages and T-Cells. The splashing of blood from bacteria characters was unique and well animated to provide suspense of its eradication. The scenery was magnificently enlivened to represent the interior of the human body parts in a fictional way.
Sound: 9
The opening was quite catchy to get the audience excited for the episode with the characters saying its title. Additionally, provides good tunes to create energy in the music. As for the ending, nothing beats ClariS, as a big fan of their music they did not disappoint with the beautifully written piece to provide cheerful rhythm to end the episode. As for background music, especially during fight scenes, was well adapted to the environment to elicit the right feeling to the scenes.
Character: 9
My girl Macrophage is by far my favourite as she is deadly and beautiful with a deathly smile to make my day. Platelets were the stand out favourites for the anime community with the endless memes, clips and merchandises off for grabs, especially with the talent of Naganawa, her amazing childish voice made Platelets the most loveable characters of this series. The RBC and WBC appeared every episode to provide a comedian and romantic development as the season progresses, not to mention they knew each other since their development in the bone marrow. The T-Cells offer much more brutality feeling to them, which reflects how T-Cells are supposed to be in our body.
Enjoyment: 8
Saying that I enjoyed this show is an understatement. Not to mention I upload weekly reaction videos on YouTube on this fantastic series. Each week provides different challenges which make this show the most enjoyable and reflects how educational-flow as the season progresses as each week offers new valuable information to fill my knowledge gap. A good mix of action and comedy, and yes kawaii platelets scenes, sums up how amazing this series is. Providing a bit more social development will push its ranking.
Overall, I highly recommend watching this anime as it provides valuable biology information weekly, and guaranteed fictional description to reinforce the learning.

As the show is coming to its end, in my honesty, I watched this show because of the amazingly animated girls (especially Sagiri) from the manga itself. But other than that, the storyline is pretty much as a laid-back show to enjoy unnecessary (censored) ecchi moments (which plays a big part in this anime). The amount of laughter was optimal, and the girls were aesthetically beautiful!!!
But other than that, I still believe the manga is a lot better and represents a big spoiler party for the majority of this season. But yet I rated highly as I think it is worth my
...
time watching this enjoyable adaptation.
But to make this show better, in my opinion, they should have a second season to introduce more characters (some characters. introduction felt rushed), and yes, the storyline gets more interesting deeper into the manga.
But other than that, hope you all find this helpful and may convince you to check it out.

As the season is coming to its end, I do have to say that Grand Blue is by far my No.1 most hyped Anime for this season. Not only because it's funny and all, but, also it orientated around university lifestyle which rarely seen in anime. The amount of humour and laughter were outstandingly narrated, and yes, adapted well with the manga in my opinion (though, fewer swear words than the manga).
Here is my breakdown:
Story (9/10) - My I rated so highly, well, it reflects what's life like at university, and I can reflect it since I experience it all too. The storyline
...
was adapted accordingly to the manga which I enjoyed the most. Despite some cutout scenes from the manga, the show never stopped to entertain me on a Friday night.
Art (9/10) - The underwater diving was beautifully animated, but, the standout animation was the characters design. I fell in love with the animation since the first episode, and damn they looked glamorous.
Sound (8/10) - Amazing background music was played to suit the atmosphere of the scene, and not to mention the music to fits the seaside environment. Did I suggest that the opening was quite liva loca!!
Character (8/10) - Some characters can be a bit disappointing, but overall, the characters in the diving club were the key highlights to what makes the show spark. The amount of humour elicits at each scene's captivated my love for this show even more.
Enjoyment (10/10) - When I rank it my best show for this season it has to be the level of enjoyment evoked at each episode. But it's mostly down to the level of alcoholism and jokes integrated into this show gave me the happiness I needed.
Overall, I gave it 9/10, as it also made it to my top 10 favourite anime of all time. Now I hope for a season 2 to carry on this ridiculous storyline of university life.

Well, after waiting four years for a season 3 (which I did not see coming) the boys are back for another season of epic pool battle.
Usually, I won't be watching this show any further, as it is a yaoi show, but what lead me to give this show another shot was because it takes place at a University competitive environment; and I can see how Haru and Makoto adapt to this new environment.
STORY (8/10) - As much as I love swimming, Kyoto Animation never stops to amaze me with the build-up of dramas with more of middle-school dilemma surrounding Haru. Despite a
...
slow start, and tons of flashbacks, the story finally picked up the pace. But I would say they should focus more on the improvement in swimming than the social drama itself.
ART (9/10) - As expected from Kyoto Animation, they never stop to amaze me with the beauty of water animation during the swimming scenes.
Sound (9/10) - As always Free never stops to fascinate me with their amazing openings with intensive rock and energy. Regarding the background sounds, it was used perfectly infused with the dramatic moments.
Character (9/10) - Character development was once again a significant category in this sporting anime. As Haru has to find ways to help his old buddy back in middle-school while being obstructed continuously by his overprotective friend. On the bright side, we get to see Makoto progressively develops his coaching skills over time.
Enjoyment (7/10) - I did not enjoy this season as much of the previous two seasons because it reminded me of season 1 drama, and I sort of expect much more focus on them to train for world level than to national level. I would say I enjoyed more of the second half of the season since it finally refocuses on training for national competitions than solving life problems. You can see all this at my weekly reaction vlogs on my channel.
But I still highly recommend this show for those into sports genre (especially swimming), or just a casual yaoi fan.
As for me, I still enjoyed it, but not as much passion I had for the first 2 seasons.
