What a masterpiece. I've been waiting for years now for Trace's sequel because the story has captivated me so much.

I think the development of the different characters is the best in almost any work I have ever read.
All the characters are important, even if we know who the main character is, he is only a secondary character in the story of the others. It may sound strange but there are about 5 main characters, each with their own story, adversity, moments of joy etc...
What is equally captivating is how each story is connected and will come together at some point. Each arc is designed for ... character development and does so in a spectacular way.

The art is the only downside of the work I think, personally I love it but a lot of people can't keep reading supposedly because of the drawings.

Society has a rather strange relationship with traces. They are the only ones who can do anything about the Troubles but they are the outcasts of society, as soon as their skills are discovered, the government takes over their lives, even their existence.

What to say, a manga that goes straight to the point.
Action, a tournament that will decide the fate of humanity. Gods vs human, very charismatic representatives, on the side of humans but also on the side of gods. We have the right to each flashback that helps us to identify with the different characters.

The art is largely worth 10/10, Ajichika knows how to present characters and action scenes to cut the breath.

Besides the art, what the author knows how to do is to be unpredictable. We are never safe from a turn of events and it is very well managed within the work.

A very beautiful manhwa. It's already rare to see works featuring old main characters, but Like a butterfly does it so well.

An old man wanting to realize his childhood dream, but who doesn't have the agreement of his children, of his own family. His dream will be formed despite the adversity and gives us a good lesson of motivation and humility. You can do anything at any age.

The second main character features a young man who could have been the main character who accompanies the old man in his adversities. We see him carrying on his shoulders and sharing the pain of the old man.

From ... the beginning to the end the manhwa does not disappoint, it is a good read that ends quickly and leaves a smile.

What a great manga, what a story. Very disturbing on one side, very touching on the other.
To start a story with incest and cannibalism is, to say the least, audacious.

But what follows is worth it. The years spent suffering the martyrdom, burned to a crisp waiting for the pain to pass.

The very impossibility of the main character to do anything. And when he realizes that he can take revenge, but seeing the pitiful state of a certain character, decides to abandon his quest is saddening.

The different arc that we see show different character and even the main character change in itself.
Even the ... ending is disturbing in its incomprehensibility, its length but is very well done.

My review may be biased. Shaman king was one of the first manga I could read.

What I liked deeply in this manga is that the hero doesn't have the typical personality of the main character of Shonen, big-mouthed, stupid, gets angry for the smallest thing and rushes into the heap despite the superiority of the opponent.

No, Yoh is calm, he knows that he is not the most intelligent but this does not prevent him from being very mature. He has a simple dream but he knows that he has responsibilities, that he must take care of them before he can realize this dream.

What differentiates ... him the most, and what the other characters realize as time goes by, is that he is apathetic, but that doesn't stop him from completing his growth.

This is one of the only story that I often returns too. Maybe because it's easy to read again with its few chapters. Perhaps because each chapter is independent of the others, which allows you to read any story you like.

God is the main character but prefers to listen to the characters explain their own story, even though we suspect that he knows them better than anyone else. He wants to make others aware of something, or just know how people interpret their own story, in their own way, and not in an omniscient way as he knows them.

Even if the art is not ... the best, it is simple. The interactions take over the drawings and allow them to express their emotions just as well.
