first of all, i ENJOYED the series as a whole, BUT heres my biggest HATE at the show

The three characters named
Komatsu, Seiji Hatta, Kazuya and Kasuga (the fucking weirdos and genuine pervert friends of MC) and, Kazuya (young cousin of MC who is so brainless)

Initially their tropes are acceptable, but in the span of 48 episodes they are just there to be a fucking plot and to add salt to the wound their actions are f*ck*ng stupid as HELL

the main character Kasuga, Kyousuke is a very good character especially as the Main protagonists, you can see his actions and how he solves them as ... a genuine move of a good young man. He may somehow look at things with the eyes of a kid going on puberty but thats how a 15 yo boy acts.

Madoka is also a very good character. the way she handles the steady burn in the love triangle (which is pretty obvious that shes the winner) makes her really Mature as the show interprets. Mature, Cool headed, Brave, and charming. thats what she is.

Hikaru the one claiming the Main character as her lover in the whole show also is a good character. She is somehow understanding but very dense on how she sees Kasuga. Her voice is really niche and fits her character. i dunno what to say but to make a summary shes a good rock blocking the way to the conclusion.

OVERALL its FUN!
this show introduces what 15 year old peeps thinks is MATURE. ballrooms, flirt, delinquents and reputation. which is actually relatable. we wanna have something cool to brag once we were in highschool and that really shows initially within the series

Midway it turned repetetive but not unbearable (unless that three minor character slapstick shit acts and goes frikking crazy)

What i feel for this show is that it is a good watch especially the last two episodes. i enjoyed the main characters even if the three characters i hated tried to ruin it.

8/10 for the overall enjoyment. it could be a 10! but the side characters (THE THREE STOOGES put a bad crack for me)

My feelings for this show is that...

From the humble beginnings to the very end i really enjoyed touch as a show. It does what it needs and that is to deliver. If i were to compare this show it has to be Maison Ikkoku. both tackles how one person overcomes the loss of another. They are subjectively different but the message is conveyed in a strong way. I love Touch.

The movie itself is...

a good conclusion to the series! it further concludes the personal issues of the two main characters and formulates a new bond. I could never imagine another ending other ... than this. Tatsuya being out of the shadow of his brother and Minami devoted as ever to support him.

If there was a nitpick within the movie is that the new characters are not that fleshed out, but acceptable for a 100 minute show.

Overall, Touch will be forever in my heart as it reminds me of Brotherly love, Passion, funny skits, and the determination of Minami and Tatsuya to commit to one another as their future rolls to their new chapter.

After seeing some negative reactions regarding this show, i thought that i should give another perspective to what i've understand and enjoyed in the series

This is a sequel to the ending to touch. no mistake about that. And this movie justifies the last episode of the series.

I will assume you've watched the series already because in the last episode we see the hesitation from Tatsuya about his overall feelings in baseball and Minami. in my opinion, It left me wondering if there's any affirmation if both of them (minami) will work together. AND definitely this movie tackles that AFFIRMATION.

the new character is ... a plot device, no other reason other than that. BUT how she was presented was very acceptable.

The decisions they've made in the movie are justified. Maybe because i'm not young anymore, i can understand that life makes us lost all the time. That goes for Tacchan and Minami. They've achieved the Dream to Koshien leaving them wondering what the next big thing is, but in life there is no big thing, unless you make the big step to break in your shell.

Overall the show made the couple's feelings more stronger for the better. It reflects how we should accept things as the way it should be.

We see that in the end. Tachhan pursues his dream with Minami in his heart, while Minami waits for him until the day their love comes to fruition

first of all, this anime is not exciting, hardcore nor engaging.

Its pretty simple and straightforward for its context and plays at some trivial topics that are less traversed in the land of "anime"

it was brutal, unforgiving and very uncomfortable story that makes you think on who to sympathize and who to hate. Sometimes after a scene i stop watching and plan myself to continue it next time i have the courage.. and man im glad that i finished it and it was good for its run.

The best thing the series offered is the op and ed! with that rich song, once i ... hear it, it makes me fulfilled that i saw through the end of their journey

check it and be prepared if youre into some serious plot in the medium of anime
the moral of the story is very realistic and more moving compared to some repetitive "do your best" cliche

it was enjoyable, satisfying and refreshing. (ed plays in background)

To keep it short for those who are curious

1 if you dont know the original series and other mediums of devilman youll definitely miss out on some fast paced details on devilman crybaby. Its not enjoyable for that sense

2 it has a lot of sex and gore. which may be debatable if its good or not but for me.. i couldve just waatched hentai

3 art is good, i was really liking the flavors of the animation just like in tatami galaxy

4 its sad

overall its based on preference of people especially on their demographics, the show itself did try to compile all necessary info ... about the plot but its not that great imo.

If youre new in Anime, especially the mecha genre Darlig in the Franxx will give you the impression that its Mediocre or Good. Unfortunately its not. Why? heres why


first the DESIGN

The show slaps you with the uncomfortable trigger design of the mech to look like a sexual innuendo, which is very trigger like. but after that its nothing more than a regular anime with emotional problems after that

TRIGGER was a very stylized quirky and naughty Anime production once it started. Which made their series stand out and good, and unfortunately youre not getting that in Franxx and will be catered with some fanservice in the ... first 3 episodes

second the STORY

as a mecha enthusiast you desperately look for something that might REVIVE the genre, or DECONSTRUCT the genre, why? because all mecha are generally the same with different flavors with it.

you start with a robot and monster of the week theme and go on until the last ep to explain some plot twist and end of the world sccheme and the main guys need to protect the earth. Sounds familiar? yes Franxx did it in a way that its unacceptable. This is what really ticks me off folks
>it got pretty inspired of Tengen toppa Gurren Lagann (which came decade ago)
>it got some deep meanings into it like Neon Genesis Evangelion (2 decades old)
>and IT COPIED THE FUCKING ENDING OF GUNBUSTER (which is already a 3 decade old mecha anime OVA series)

ALL OF GAINAX'es flavor addition to mecha that was memorable was in darling in the franxx, but ufortunately. the writing on how these idead were implemened were far worse than the ones that made if first.

OTHER THINGS
if the sexual innuendos are not bothering you by now youll have a fun time if youre expecting an anime about love and misunderstandings

the characters were great about that

spoilers..

to be honest i did like the change that the franchise got into. while many are so frustrated why nothing is explained is that because EVERYTHING SEEMED LOGICAL ENOUGH from the start. just try to think of it as a big alternate turn of event to the original 1995 series.

first of all i did love the series and EOE for its wholesome weird yet lovable way. and i do love the rebuilt too. several fans are intrigued on why *spoilers* nerv employees are preventing Ikaris dad and the remaining SEELE in their plans.
its obvious... the wille foundation is preventing the fourth impact and ... Misato is avoiding the inevitable human instrumentality project that Shinjis dad plans to do.
the human instrumentality project is the merging of all into one, and you may ask why shinjis dad wanted this.. its for his wife.. to be reunited again of some sort.

now a lot may argue with me for this but, the changes are very promising! it gives the rebuilt a very exciting plot that the original 1995 fans and new fans to enjoy evangelion in a refreshing way. yes yes i know eva was great because of its personal ventures in each characters and why is it not part of the 3.0 you may ask. BUT, is it really necessary? well to be honest, this is a strategy that the franchise did. let it compliment to the old eva series and give the rebuild a new upbringing. which is okay and not to destroy the charm the first series has to offer

to be precise you must watch the original series to build a better understanding why 3.0 goes to anew PROMISING direction.

the movie? yes it was fantastic. the rebuilt so far satisfies me with all of its solution to help the characters which the original doesnt provide. its like preventing the sad ending and giving an enigmatic end in a positive impact

watch it be critical, and prepare for a ride. because its a good movie. and i hope to see the light of day to the final one

my first review :)

at first glance at the series, honestly i wasn't sure of how i feel for the conclusion that it came. i thought it was a reckless way to finish it, leaving the viewers confused and not convincing enough to call it a "happy or bad" ending. in my personal opinion i watched several depictions and character explanations in YouTube to see if my way of understanding it was somehow relevant.

in my behalf for those who are hesitant if they are gonna watch evangelion or not, these three key factors are somewhat for me the best this series has to offer

first: ... is its realistic approach to the characters.
evangelion is known not for its mecha suits or moe girls or half naked scenes... its about the nature of the characters mind. it lets you interpret those expressions in your own personal preference and gives the characters different outlook on each and every viewer (in my opinion) to make it simple enough.. you may relate for the characters pertaining to their struggles, and like them. or resent them for what they've done. again its in your judgement if they are like-able or not.

second: the mystery that revolves in its universe
to be honest halfway through the show the mystery is what made me stay. i was so hooked on knowing its secrets that made it very very interesting. the pacing is descent and the turn of events are certainly great. i personally think that its flow is better than the movies because it gives a better understanding on each situation and scenarios given to us viewers

third: the unexpected ending..
this has no spoilers of whatsoever but i can say that its ending is not what ive expected and wanted.. but at the end i was satisfied (ironic enough) again i looked at some deep explanations with the help of the net and as a conclusion i loved it and somehow hate it. it gave me a hard time if this is a good show or a trainwreck. and in a weird way i cant stop thinking about evangelion! no kidding..
it was like a loved one that you are irritated with but at the end of the day you sleep together knowing that his/her side is within yours. i know its a weird analogy, but that made me realize "i fucking love it but i still hate it"

evangelion is like something that you will be addicted to. you want more, the lore, the ambiance and overall the enigmatic presence it gives the viewers a personal conclusion of the story.

watch it and see for yourself. dont let others discourage you for watching it. thats all i can say to it.
