After years of putting this anime on hold I finally completed it. I was not disappointed in the least.

Story - 7/10
Passing away and ending up in this 'After Life' sort of place and having to do things to not disappear? Sure I'm down for that. Although I liked the plot and didn't mind how the story progressed, it did feel like some parts could've gone better. I wonder what direction this would've went if the communication was well on both ends? (Tenshi and the others)

Art - 8/10

I adore the characters. Their different personalities and ... the way they all communicated with each other made it enjoyable for me (I found Hinata and Yui's interactions funny) I do wish that Iwasawa had more screen time because she was becoming one of my favorites before she disappeared. The main character, Otonashi, was a good MC. He reminded me a lot of Tomoya from Clannad for some reason. I liked seeing his backstory and he didn't annoy me. My favorite character of all has to be Kanade! I love her design and personality. The moments with her and Otonashi were really sweet, making the end give me a happy-sad feeling. I've been craving mapo tofu too..

Sound - 9/10
I really loved watching the concerts. Even after Iwasawa disappeared, Yui didn't disappoint me with her performances in place. I love the OST it plays in the background, along with the OP & ED songs! (Yui's version was awesome)

Enjoyment - 10/10
In the beginning I'll admit I wasn't very interested. As the anime progressed I started to get more intrigued and eventually ended up loving it. I've gotten the ending spoiled many many times so I didn't expect to cry during that scene. What I forgot was that I had seen it without very much context. After watching that scene (the last episode in general) I did end up crying. What can I say though? I'm a sucker for tear-jerker anime.

This anime felt like an amazing ride and opened an interest in Japanese novels for me. To start off there are different stories in this. The stories are each from different Japanese authors from many years ago, such as Osamu Dazai, Notsume Soseki, and more. I feel fans of Bungou Stray Dogs will like this because the authors are included in both of the anime.

The stories were all well written and very enjoyable to watch. My most favorites were two of Osamu Dazai's works, 'No Longer Human' and 'Run, Melos!'. These two as well as the other stories were able to convey the way the ... characters felt. There were times I felt sad, felt tons of sympathy, anger, relatability, and more. Out of all of them the only novel I've read was No Longer Human so it might be a bit biased on my part. I enjoyed reading it so seeing it play out was very fun for me. The last two episodes were a bit of a miss for me but nonetheless still enjoyable.

The characters were all interesting for the most part. Even if the stories last a few episodes (1-4) it's easy to get a bit attached to the characters. The character designs weren't anything extraordinary but they were memorable for me. There are some mature scenes with the characters so if you're cautious about that then here's your warning.

The music, art, and animation were all wonderfully done. The art in the last two episodes especially caught my eye. The different styles of art all around were intriguing. I loved the music in the second to last episode the most because it gave me a sort of nostalgic feeling. It reminded me a bit of TGCF's music. Another thing I have to add is how well done the voice acting is. The VA's in this didn't make my ears bleed. Most of the time it was soothing and relaxing to listen to their voices. To me the voices felt more natural so it's another plus.

I definitely recommend this to anyone who's interested or just needs something to watch. Fair warning for suicide themes (Seen mostly if not only in Osamu Dazai's stories)! I'm surprised this isn't more popular but I hope it gets a bit more attention.

In a nutshell this story is about a teenager named Mahiru who finds a stray cat who he finds out to be a vampire. The vampire, Kuro, is a servamp (servant vampire) and they end up making a contract after getting attacked by another vampire. The story follows Mahiru, Kuro, and more people they meet along the way trying to stop the main antagonist Tsubaki from killing and such.

Characters - 9/10

The characters have nice designs. The servamps are basically the seven deadly sins (one of the characters being "the 8th" one) so it's easy to remember them. They don't get into all of their ... backstories, only Kuro (Sloth) and Hyde (Greed). My favorite character would have to be Licht. I found his personality the most interesting and he was entertaining while on screen. Something I have to note are the interactions between the characters. They have lovely bonds and connections that are just nice to see. We're also able to see character development for a few of the characters.

Story - 7/10

I wish they had gone more in depth with the story. It felt like there needed to be more explained about Tsubaki's character as well as the other sins who weren't in it too much. Kuro and Hyde being able to find resolvement for what happened in their pasts was one of my favorite things about the story.

Art - 8/10

I enjoyed the art style and the animation. Not much to say about this topic lol

Overall - 8/10

It was pretty decent and I enjoyed watching it. It's a show I would recommend, it's nice to see for fun.
