Let's get one thing straight right off the bat, the bullying done in this series is not done out of malice, hatred, or even the dislike of someone. It is purely as a way to help Senpai develop as a character and due to the fact that Nagatoro is obviously very interested in him romantically. Cancel culture attacked this without even reading 3 chapters.
K, that's off my chest. Senpai is a loner, even in his club he's the only attendee, he doesn't stand up for himself, talk to others or even attempts to look at a girl out if fear and shyness. Then one day
...
he happens to have a fated encounter with his junior Nagatoro and an odd relationship based on teasing, ridicule, strong love tension, and just a splash of sado-masochism is born.
The characters in this series may as well be that weird couple at school that swear they aren't together. Fleshed out to the point of reality, hilarious and oh so cute together. Senpai is the typical nerdy, quiet MC. Bland right off the bat (intentionally) and might as well be a background character until he happened to bump into our chaotic bully-love interest the TANNED skin Nagatoro. She is relentless, harsh, mean ... Or so she would seem at first. However, once she loses control of the situation or Senpai actually acts outside of his usual stuff she'll be off guard and blush, tremble, stutter and look at the floor in a very adorable "I like you" kind of way.
These two are hilarious together and the dynamic is a perfect blend, you really love to see these two together and grow really attached to them. You'll laugh very hard throughout this series where it seems like a good joke or reaction is around every single page turn and the art style plays a major role in that. I always look forward to Nagatoro's "noodle arms".
I really love this series and if you love a cute story, you will too. Don't listen to the barrage of one star reviews just because they were told to hate on it. You'll really be missing out.

I loved this series, yet I did not enjoy it. Yet I did, but I didn't...
As you can tell I'm left a little speechless and confused after finishing Deadtube and if you've finished it you cannot disagree. I cheered, I gasped, I groaned, I shouted "YOU CANT F*CKING TO THAT" a few times.
The story here is great and seems like it could happen in a twisted reality (besides the weird slasher inspired turn about 20 chapters in). A contest on a site called "deadtube" is held randomly and with specific rules and ways of winning where the more
...
popular you are the more money you make and the more illegal activities you can get away with. For the loser, a justified mix of having all of the oppositions activities blamed on you and most likely death at the hands of another deadtube star. It's all created by some unknown person and our "hero" of the story Machiya teams up with the skilled killer classmate of his to survive and figure out who is behind it all.
Characters
This is a huge plus for this series. The characters are very interesting, complex, always a tad bit insane and have good motives. Machiya is a film student who always has his trusty video camera ready, he begins as the usual nerdy, virgin, b*tchboy protag but that is very quickly stripped and he becomes a snuff recording and slowly growing psychopath within the first few chapters. There his aide, classmate and love interest Mai Mashiro. She is insanely skilled at weapon play and hand to hand combat, pretty much serving as Machiya's guard dog and actress while he records the current chaos she is involved with. You'll meet fun people such as a Slasher inspired serial killer, a superhero type who loves his sister a little too much, the promiscuous and rich seeking classmate classmate Janae, Machiya's little sister and his loving father.
The art style captures the horrific story and settings wayy too well where you'll feel pained to watch someone die as the kills are inventive, detailed and gruesome and the places feel immensely threatening.
Trust nobody when reading this story and keep a strong stomach on you at all times. If you love dark, gorey and depressing then why haven't you read this already?

"C'mon already dude, just f**k your sisters already"
Words that I was not proud to have slip out of my mouth and it was said more than once. Kiss x sis hides absolutely nothing right from the title and I will tell you, yes he does kiss his sisters and not only on the mouth.
Jokes ...aside Kiss x Sis tackles one of the biggest subjects that if it wasn't fiction it would be a totally different story, incest. Right from the first chapter you know this will not be the usual "my sister has a small crush on me" series but "How do I stop
...
my (step)sisters from sticking my fingers in them". That's the whole plot. It's completely about our boy Keita's relationships with his female colleges.
Characters are pretty interesting luckily as this could easily break a series like this. You have his almost identical sisters The bandage wearing Riko who is more direct in her approaches, quiet and spontaneous and the more mature Ako whose approach to Keita is more strategic, "shy" and playful. Then you throw in pee girl, I mean the sexually aggressive classmate Miharu who tends to have alot of bathroom accidents, Keita's teacher and sensei type Yuuzuki and of course the token loli and Yuuzuki's little sister Mikazuki. All I can say is I now love the images of teddy bears. I CANNOT list character without giving props to one of the most incestuous supportive and hilarious fathers in all of fiction, the legendary....Father Suminoe (yes, his first name is only known as father) who not only knows of his kid's actions but encourages and often pep talks his son into knowing its just something people do.
The comedy is jawdropping, hilarious and oh so lewd. I mean Mikazuki will probably knock on every door before entering a room now. Sex situations and humor in every page it seems. More fanservice than not and a good plethora of cute girls (not you Miharu) and a great MC makes this a blast to read behind locked doors and under your bedsheets. Please read your next guilty pleasure, I highly recommend it.

Do you like Dragon Maid but wish it was about nothing but Quetzalcoatl t*tty f**king the Lil shota dude and little to nothing else? Well...why?
I gave this manga a good 30+ chapters to get a good story going, actually get some character development or be anything besides a "my roommate has big boobs" slice of life and it never passes that mark. If there's a female character added, you can expect nothing under a J cup. even our protags sister isn't spared in that sense.
It is a manga about one particular fetish and it will stomp that into your brain repeatedly until you go
...
read a manga about flat chested magical girls to change the pace a bit. One note Characters, no plot besides our main guy animates and writes novels and the art style is nothing to get excited about. Congrats Chichi, you've made the drop list.

Ok, this is such an all over the place rating for what is one of my favorite manga so far.
The story isn't anything really new or groundbreaking, can kind of see it as if Carrie started at the prom instead of ending at it. A girl named Naoko gets pranked on the night of prom, however it goes horribly wrong and ends up causing her severe mental and physical scarring. The series then proceeds as a revenge tale while our now Naoko going by "Pumpkin Night" stays as the main slasher throughout.
The art is outstanding. The level of Gore, violence and pure carnage is
...
top tier. You actually sometimes feel the characters pain when Naoko gets her hands on someone. Some odd panty shot fan service makes it kinda confusing at times and really not needed but, it's manga so what can you do?
Characters are decent, typical scumbags besides Naoko herself and later on her love interest Kazuya Makino takes an odd turn in character development. Naoko is vicious, sometimes terrifying but still has a cute side to her when flirting with Kazuya.
Here's the big issue...The only translation you can find online. It is absolutely horrible at times. Filled with leet speak, memes, "kawaii" language (lots of W's and y's added in places) and 4th wall breaks. This destroys the immersion and payoff at times.i guess it's not fair to blame it on the original artist but it really is that bad. Enough to reduce a few whole points from the final score.
If you're a fan of slasher films, gore, meme humor and revenge stories then go ahead and read a bit. You'll be winning very quickly.
