Some of the things that people might have missed:
1. Koyomi soulmate's in the first movie (Boku ga) is Kazune; but in the second movie, Koyomi's soulmate is Shiori.
2. By taking the first point into account, it's perceivable that our past experiences not only make our today selves, but are parts of what make us unique. Koyomi from Boku ga is not Koyomi from Kimi ga. They seem to have the same soul, but in fact, they are and not are the same being. They have connections, like a bridge linking two places, but a bridge with omnidirectional extremities, their body may be one in all
...
extremities, but the inside is always another person. Like a person changing seats with another one.
4. In both realities he ends up with Kazune, finding his own happy ending. He wants to free Shiori from that torment, to let her experience a real life, as his first love, as his soulmate, he wants her to feel the happiness he felt. He prefers her happiness above all else. This is true love in the very sense of the word.
5. The ending is quite misleading. But Koyomi, by dying, time shifted to the imaginary fissure where Shiori was. For a brief moment, his soul moves to Shiori to take her very soul from that place fulfilling their promise of marrying. Making her soul (imaginality) back in the natural order of things. He did that by negating their meeting after tearing apart the link connecting their souls. He changed the past. They never met. In Boku ga we can see that they also fulfill the other promise to meet after 66 years.
In conclusion, it's quite possible for another movie (most likely) to come to light and another one (minimal chance). Can really the universe, fate or whatever can take apart the connection of two souls? I personally don't think so. The connection between souls can be so strong that it can break the barrier between realities and even the very laws of the universe, as shown in the movies.
