Astronomy. There are not many recent anime out there with astronomy theme, so if you like the theme check them out. Chi is more serious, emphasizes on historical discoveries and takes place in 15th century Poland while Insomnia is more lightweight, focuses more on photography and takes place in modern Japan.

Both series have a similar friendship theme. What is the friendship that female lead and male lead have. In Kusunoki-san former MC loners try to be more outgoing, in Yugami-kun the loneliness is discussed differently. Kusunoki-san is more romance / romcom oriented and Yugami-kun more comedy oriented series. While the orientations are different I enjoy them for the character interactions.

Great interaction between two main characters in a high school setting. You are going to end up loving their discussions. While the MC in Giji Harem is not popular with girls, the MC in Yugami is not interested in people in general. The female leads in both series end up spending a lot of time together with the MC. While the plot is totally different, they give similar slice of life vibe and are fun to read.

Hourou Musuko is like a middle school version of Senpai wa Otokonoko. In both series there is a pretty boy dressing up as a girl because they like themselves better that way. Yet at the same time both series show the reasoning behind it and feature them as boys as well. If one peaked your interest and haven't seen the other one, check them out.

Both series feature a main character who is really knowledgeable/smart but has trouble with everyday life and communicating with other people. Ousama is about cyber security and surviving in the business world, while Kimi to Uchuu is about astronomy and more high-school related. While themes are different they share other similarities as well, like the second main character helping the main character and vice versa (so there is a nice symbiosis between the MCs and it's nice to read).

Both are baseball manga where main character has struggle fitting in with the teammates due to some past event. In that sense they are quite psychological as main characters blame themselves for events that have been caused by other people. Ookiku is old series while Diamond is quite new. There is also something about the artstyle, the way characters are drawn that feels similar between those series. If you liked one, you could try checking out the other.

The idols or heroes that people look up to are deceiving the people that admire them. The premise of both shows at first makes it seem a bit simple and silly, yet if you give them time you notice how everything is not black and white. By doing that, both shows give depth to the genre they represent. If you like shows like these give them a try. Animation is well done in both shows as well.

If you like anime with real life or feel like watching one, these two series are surprisingly similar. In Uchuu Kyoudai it's about space exploration and in Meguni no Daigo it's about firefighting. In both series problems get often solved with real life engineering. Both series have similar character relations and the storytelling itself feels really familiar. The artstyle and orange suits, I thought I couldn't find any similar series to Uchuu Kyodai but Megumi indeed is one of the closest I have seen.

Both series take place in high school and try to elaborate on the question what is friendship, interactions between male lead and female leads are fun, so I feel like they fall under similar themes you can check out.

Both series: * Tell about future civilizations who have somewhat forgotten of our current times. * Both have magical elements in the future * Artstyle also has some similarities as there is no distinctive shadows yet seem unique on their own. Hikari no Ou even takes it step further and has some really nice drawn images occasionally. These are some elements that give Shinsekai Yori and Hikari no Ou similar feel. Especially the somewhat magical future of mankind, yet still somehow connected to the past. If that seems interesting, check them out.

There are several reasons why I like both of these series: * In both series main characters dynamics work out really well - you keep wanting more interactions between them! * Relatable and well written main and side characters with nice backstories * Both are about relationships between people - what does it mean to be someone's friend; what does caring for someone really mean? * The confidence in both main characters (Yugami and Mitsumi) that inspires others and perhaps even you as a reader. Overall both are really well written slice of life manga.

While the settings may be totally different for both series, the stories themselves are very deep and can be interpreted many ways: * Both are thought-provoking about the world around us - as in which kind of present and future we want to live in? * Female leads appear to be something beyond normal human, or at least, regarded as such. Anyways, in terms of depth these series both have it. That is if you are looking for something in that regard.

Wholesome relationship between a mother and son. That's what first struck me - that in terms of touching moments (wholesomeness) these series are very similar. Additionally, both are quite action packed, characters need to think unique ideas to get out of situations, main character's hairstyles have similarities (not that it matters much but perhaps that also explains some of their personality traits). However, Ao Ashi is following realistic soccer/football theme while Hero academia is known for the fantasy superhero society theme. But as mentioned before, the intrinsic relationships have similarities even though themes are different. So if you are looking for that, perhaps you'll find something worthwhile.
