Not only are they both very well done CGI, but they have very similar plot and overall feel to them. They both have MC trying to go against the gods, resulting in epic battle scenes that get better and better each time. You see good growth of MC in a personal way as well, much more so for Wu Geng, but in both series the MC finds their humanity in a way. Wu Geng was basically a spoiled rich kid who then has to start from the bottom up and really learns to respect people's lives and stand up for what's ethically right. In Xi Xing Ji, the MC "wolf demon" was literally a wolf that became humanoid, so he's literally learning how to become more human, and discovers what love is and what it means to protect and fight for what you love. I watched Wu Geng Ji, and it became one of my favorites immediately. I tried to find something like it because I needed more after binging all 4 seasons. It wasn't until recently I found Xi Xing Ji and let me just say if you like one, you will like the other. As of right now I haven't finished Xi Xing, so I don't know if it's really as good as Wu Geng, but its a close second. I reccomend both anime, but I highly favor Wu Geng Ji over the two.

The plot is not similar at all. But the feel is pretty similar, mainly the fight scenes, how his body is made up of katanas/swords, and just overall dark theme throughout the show. The MC is pretty bland and not relatable, but fights insanely well, the supporting characters make up for the MCs lack of personality. I really loved dororo, and didn't find B:tb until about a year later. But it gives me BIG dororo vibes for sure. If you like one, im pretty sure you will enjoy the other.
