I can't believe I wasted precious hours of my life watching "School Days." This anime is an absolute disaster from start to finish. It's an insult to the genre, offering nothing but a chaotic mess of poorly executed storytelling, unlikable characters, and disturbing themes that left me feeling disturbed and disgusted.
To begin with, the plot is an utter train wreck. It starts off as a typical high school romance, only to devolve into a convoluted and nonsensical series of events. The protagonist, Makoto, is nothing short of a spineless and indecisive moron. Instead of being an engaging character, he simply goes around playing with the
...
feelings of the female characters, which only serves to make him despicable and unrelatable.
The female characters aren't much better. They lack any real depth or development, merely existing to serve as plot devices for the protagonist's indecent escapades. These girls are portrayed as naive and gullible, which is both frustrating and insulting to female viewers. Watching them fall for Makoto's manipulative tactics is infuriating, and it sends a terrible message to audiences about relationships and consent.
Furthermore, the anime takes a dark and twisted turn that feels completely out of place and unnecessary. It tries to shock viewers with its controversial themes, but instead, it comes across as tasteless and gratuitous. The finale is just a bizarre spectacle of violence and insanity that offers no satisfying conclusion or meaningful resolution to the messy plot it created.
Animation and art are mediocre at best. The character designs lack creativity and are often inconsistent in quality. The backgrounds are dull and unremarkable, failing to add any depth to the already lackluster narrative. The music is forgettable and does nothing to elevate the poorly crafted scenes.

This review is considering both the story for season 1 and season 2.
I'm not the type to watch anime based on recommendations, since I often find myself liking anime that majority rated "bad".
86, however, I can really respect it as a whole.
There is just something magical about making an anime that I thought was bad in the beginning , into one of my favorites this season, if not in the last few seasons.
I have watched MANY anime, so I have to confess it's kinda hard to be impressed by any anime at this point, and 86 was no different in the
...
beginning of season 1.
I find it hard to explain why I didn't like it without spoilers, so I will just say this: watch it and keep watching it, A1 rarely ever disappoints with animation, so we are already on a good start here. Voice actors are fantastic as well, many of them are more then popular in the industry, so you will not be disappointed. I personally thought the soundtracks were great, but nothing that stands out, easy 7/10 though. The character development, oh boy, there was a lot of that in the second season. Kinda similar to Re:zero in that regard.
If you reached this point, I sincerely hope you give this anime a try, it will not be life changing, it will not be the one to get 4 seasons (we can only hope), it will not be the one everyone recommends to their friends. But it will definitely be the one you will remember as being "A really good anime" whenever you come across it on the internet.

I'm here to balance the tards who give this anime a low rating for no reason.
This anime is hard to talk about to someone who hasn't seen it. If you like anime, this is a must watch. Waifus, good storytelling, amazing soundtracks, 30 minute long episodes without openings and endings, is there something this anime lacks?
Yeah, a 3rd season.
There is really so much to talk about. Re:Zero is like wine, the more time passes, the better it becomes. While I loved the completely different approach to isekai, the second season blew me away. Every episode is better than the previous one and every time
...
I watched a new episode, I felt like they climbed another step closer to become the number one anime this season, at least to me.
I could talk about this anime for days, every since april 2016, I've been a huge fan, even though I watched hundreds of anime in the last 5 years.
If you still have not watched season 2, or even season 1, give yourself a favor and watch this. It's gonna become, no, it already is a classic that everyone should watch.

This review comes from someone who only started enjoying manga recently, but watched a lot of anime. There isn't really anything bad I can say about this manga, there is a lot of tragedy here, so if you are of weak heart, don't read this. However, the character development is great, the art is fantastic, and the story has a steady flow with lots of unexpected surprises to be seen. I got goosebumps reading this manga every few chapters, and that doesn't happen often with any one manga. I would highly recommend to read this manga, at least the first 20 chapters as the story
...
has a weird start. I can almost guarantee you'll be hooked into the story with a 'I wanna know what's gonna happen next' type of thought. Have fun reading :)
