Boku Girl
add

A much more ecchi approach to the gender bender concept of Ranma 1/2. If you like anime where a character becomes female, much to their dismay, then you will enjoy Boku Girl. The anime's main strength is its concept and it has fun with it.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
add

Like Re:Zero, Konosuba features a flawed, NEET protagonist who is transported to another world. Konosuba focuses on comedy, nevertheless the interesting characters, unique world building, and entertaining action are reminiscent of Re:Zero. Konosuba is perfect for lightening the mood after the dark and oppressive atmosphere of Re:Zero.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
add

Did you enjoy Re:Zero? Did it leave you wanting more brutal deaths, torture, and time loops? If so, then you will love Higurashi. Higurashi begins like any classic, slice-of-life anime then slowly divulges its brutal and gory nature as it brutally murders its characters before returning to the beginning and doing it all over again. If you wanted to see Subaru suffer more, then watch Higurashi and watch the characters suffer terrible fates again and again. Higurashi is very similar to Re:Zero but focuses on the mystery of the time loops.

Psycho-Pass
add

Monster explored human nature and the identity of evil. Psycho Pass explores similar themes in a dystopian setting where the government prevent crimes by calculating the mental state of its citizens. If you enjoyed the psychological aspect of Monster but wanted more action, then Psycho Pass is a must watch.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Do you enjoy stories about romance between siblings? Do you enjoy stories about tragic yet beautiful love blooming between two very different people? If yes, then you will enjoy Koi Kaze. The story is dramatic and focuses primarily on the relationship between estranged siblings. If you enjoyed the romantic and incest aspect of Oreimo, you will enjoy Koi Kaze.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.
add

Hyouka shares an apathetic, high school protagonist who, due to certain circumstances, joins a club and begins to view the world in a different way. If you enjoyed the main character and setting of Oregairu, then you will enjoy Hyouka.

Another
add

To be blunt, Another is not as good as Higurashi. Unfortunately, there are not many good horror anime to choose from. If you enjoyed the brutal deaths and mystery of Higurashi, then you will enjoy Another. Another offers a melancholy and dreary tone with sudden, terrifying deaths keeping you intrigued. Also, the mystery behind the curse is akin to the mystery element of Higurashi.

Trigun
add

Trigun is an amazing anime that manages to be enjoyable today even with its older animation style. Like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun has a western-inspired setting and features a bad-ass, gun-slinging protagonist. The series is worth watching based on the action and humor alone but the art and story will have you wanting more.

3-gatsu no Lion

Both of these series focus on characters who are dealing with depression and the loss of loved ones. Both also follow their character's chosen profession and how they handle these careers at young ages. I recommend this to those who are interested in stories about depression, loss, and perseverance.
