I love this anime. It gives me Danganronpa vibes and that I love, that I cherish, and that I adore. Though, let me start with what I dislike first.
I will start with this - the main problem that I had with this anime was the fact it tried to act serious but failed at remaining serious. What I mean by this is that at the very beginning, the antagonist tells the main characters about the 'serious' consequences if they do this, this or that. Basically, the characters' lives are threatened in a way and it is assumed that not following the rules will result in
...
possible death or they will receive some high level punishments but then when some of the characters actually broke the rules or did something that they were not supposed to do, or did something that angered the villain, absolutely nothing bad happened to them.
They were simply left off the hook and that happened every single time.
I don't want to spoil or anything but at one point, one of the characters will get 'punished' for his attitude but let's be real, this was not much of a punishment. At the start, the punishment was portrayed like if it was going to put the character like in some sort of high psychological mental crisis or something. This got me interested, this got me hooked, it made me feel scared for the characters, I feared for what could badly happen to them but then when the thing happened, the character handled himself just fine, the punishment was NO big deal at all and that was so frustrating.
I really, really disliked that aspect of acting serious but not actually being serious. It brought me so much annoyance and frustration.
Like, don't get me wrong, I don't want to see the characters dead or hurt or something like that but come on, the anime proposed to you a story that will put characters in an unpleasant and undesired position. They are being forced to participate in games, they are going to face bad situations and sometimes you really need bad stuff to happen to make you really connect with a story (especially the sort of story that is supposed to be Nakanohito Genome), to make you really feel for a character. Though, now whenever there is some sort of threat to the characters' lives, I just know that it is going to be no big deal, that the characters are going to be just fine in the end.
There are no deadly consequences so just do whatever everyone.
I just wished that this was handle in a different way. Again, the fact that there are no deadly consequences is not a problem to me, I'm not searching for this but the anime made it seem like death was one possible outcome, that bad things could happen but when it was finally time for the bad stuff to become reality, it was just brushed off or put aside.
NOW
Despite all that I said above, I really love this anime. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters, the dialogues and seriously, I really laughed a lot at some moments. I started watching this anime with no real expectations and after the first episode ended, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this story or not but in the end, I really enjoyed it. The story has a level of mystery and you just want to know more about the secrets hidden at every corner. Even some of the characters seem to have some important secrets hidden and this got me more than interested.
I don't really remember but the episode (I think that it was episode 8 but I am not really sure) with the game with the 3 maids, I love it to the core. BEST EPISODE for me.
If a season 2 comes out, I will definitely watch it and despite my first complain above, overall I enjoyed it.

First thing first, I really love stories where the characters are stuck somewhere (locked in some sort of place) and if they want to go out, they need to participate in some sort of deadly and psychological game. I simply adore those type of storylines and Alice in Borderlands gave me just that.
The first episode was okay I guess. I did not really understand what the first game was about but the concept and the way it was executed was interesting enough for me to watch the next episode and the anime really stepped up its game from there. Episode 2 was entertaining and
...
exciting and Episode 3, oulala, it was full of emotions and conflict and I just wanted to cry at the end.
I was hooked, those 3 episodes all together hyped me so much and I really wished that there were more episodes. I really wished that the whole thing from beginning to end was animated. The main character is interesting, the world setting is interesting and you just want to know what happens next. Like, as soon as I finished watching the anime, I directly went to read the manga and I wasn't deceived.
This anime was a really good watch and if you like thrills and stuff, then I highly recommend this!

I watched it because I had nothing to do and as soon as the first episode started, I was already laughing out loud. I don't usually watch Chinese anime (mostly because of the animation and funny voices) but this one, by the end of the first episode, I was already hooked and was wanting for more.
I think that this anime has a very unique story with entertaining characters, funny dialogues and scenes, and it is really refreshing to watch. The comedy is totally here and the way the main character expresses himself to all the arising situations is just totally on point.
The art
...
is good enough according to me, like I've seen worse and I think that the anime's art style has a pretty good level (the monsters are really ugly monsters though). Some 'fighting' scenes are really cool to watch while some are just hilarious to me based on the way it's animated.
Though, to conclude, I enjoyed myself throughout the whole thing and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!!

I love baseball.
Through anime, baseball became my favourite sport. Seeing it brings me joy. Seeing it brings me hype. I adore it to my very core and I'm always up to watch some baseball....but Battery, oh god, Battery was a disappointment in more than one way.
First thing first, I did not expect it to be full sport focused. I already knew that there were going to be some drama. I was ready for that but well, the anime's drama just didn't go well with me.
I just don't like the main character.
He is very arrogant and stubborn. He won't back down no matter what. Even
...
if he is wrong, even if he is wrong to the other characters, he doesn't care, he does what he wants and absolutely no one, NO ONE, not even the adults around him are able to do anything about it. He just has such a bad attitude and really, he acts like such a brat at times and I really, really hoped that his personality would get better along the way, that he would actually grow up and learn but nope, at the end he was still the same.
Even his baseball partner, his catcher, he did not do anything at all. He gets mad at the MC, he acts like he is waiting for the MC to apologize first but in the end, he just goes back to MC without even receiving the apology that he totally should have received. That annoyed me. It happened once and happened again and ah, I was just drained with this.
Only little Seiha, the little boy was the only one that I liked and actually put a smile on my face. He's pure and the rest are just annoying.
And about the actual baseball matches, it was such disappointment. They were so boring, I was getting bored. There was no hype at all and yeah, there was only two matches, and none of them ended up properly. It was really frustrating to be honest.
I have absolutely nothing more to say about this anime.

I was not traumatized but that anime haunted me for a while after I had watched it entirely. God, I finished watching the whole thing at around 11 pm, I was completely sleepy, I just wanted to sleep, but Devilman Crybaby left such a bad taste and uncomfortable feeling in me that I went to watch another anime to wash those bad feels away and to forget about it.
Though, the next morning it was back to haunt me.
I actually did not read the summary before I started watching it. I just saw horror in the tag and didn't see anything else and I just made
...
the big jump. It's really sexual(I did not know that it was mature), had to put on my earphone at some point, and the gore is there and some scenes are really - like really - hahaha...
I listened to the opening once and it was so creepy that I did not watch it again.
The running is super funny.
I like the art style though. The art style is my style. It's dark and stuff and I really like some of the characters design.
The story is well, how should I say, stuff happened, I did not always understand those stuff, but I can sure say that it was intense. It's really near the end that the story as a whole impacted me. Seeing how humans react when they get scared is really scary. How cruel they can be, even more than demons and it's sad and wow. And episode 9 really, the end of episode 9, mama mia it made me feel so so bad, like wowwww. I did not expect such an end to be honest.
The characters are well, I have no words to describe them. They do stuff, say stuff and overall, they are not the greatest out there. I like Akira and Ryo, again they're not the greatest but me like them.
In the end, I will never watch that thing again and I have absolutely no idea how I ended up watching all of it. I just wanted to see how it ends and I was left with feeling empty.

I did not like it.
Deadman Wonderland has been on my list for a very long time. It looked like the type of story that will interest me. First episode did not make me feel that much at all, second episode was much better and I started telling myself that maybe it wasn't going to be bad but when I finally reached the middle, I just wanted the anime to end already.
I don't know how much the anime is similarly to the manga but I personally did not like the flow of the anime. One episode the characters are doing something, some episodes later
...
something else is going on, few episodes later the mc has another goal already and I honestly felt incomplete with mostly everything. A lot happened in those twelve episodes but none of it felt complete to me. I felt like things were only partly developed and comparing the ending with the beginning made me feel like nothing was accomplished in the end.
All of the MCs' goals did not bear any fruits.
Concerning the characters, only Crow/Senji was interesting to me. He was the only character that I actually liked from the moment he was introduced until the end. I just like his general aura and the other characters just didn't do anything for me. They didn't impact me in any way. Some of them were introduced but they didn't do anything important at all. They were just there.
About Shiro, I saw her, I was not sure if I was going to like her, ended up telling myself that she was not as bad as I thought she would be but in the end, she turned out to be annoying to me. About the main character, I don't know about him. I guess that in the end he made some progress? I just guess. And the villains are just so-so.
To be honest, I like the power that Ganta acquired. Fighting with blood is really interesting but what more can I say? I will probably (maybe some day) read the manga to see if things are better there but yeah, I did not like it.

I started watching this anime with my little sister because we had nothing else to watch. She was pretty excited about it since she had already seen some of the episodes in the past but really I wasn't expecting much. After I watched the first episode, I wasn't hooked that much, I was just a little bit interested, and after watching a few more episodes, I still wasn't convinced yet if it was going to be good. I actually had a few problems with how things were proceeding in the story, I had some problems with the main character and really, it was partly my
...
boy Yuma and partly the story as a whole that kept me going and now, after having watched the whole thing, I can say without a doubt that I have absolutely no regret watching World Trigger.
Dear god, I ended up loving that anime so, so much.
The anime kept me awake until 3 am for three days in a row, like I was so hooked (I started being hooked at episode 10 or so) and I just couldn't stop watching. The fights, the different triggers that exist, the characters, everything is great and I was excited throughout the whole thing.
The only things that bugged me at some moments, at many moments actually, were the two characters Osamu and Chika a little bit.
I didn't find Osamu(the MC) that great to be honest. In the beginning, I didn't care a lot about him. Like he is really weak and really I don't need him to be super powerful or anything, just sometimes I felt like he should be able to do more. I was just waiting for him to do something, to prove his worth and throughout the whole season I find him more useless than useful at times. He is indeed good at making strategies or something but other than that, he wasn't doing much to really impact me as a character. Though at the end it seems like he finally found a technique that will suit him a lot but that's to see in season 2.
Chika's kind of like Osamu. At first I wasn't paying much attention to her, she was just there always smiling (I find her face sometimes creepy to be honest) and what really started annoying me about her was the fact that she just has a tremendous amount of Trion power and everyone is always praising her because of this. Her huge amount of power was her only good point but even then, she still needed to improve herself in some areas, to develop her full potential but it seemed like she was not interested at all into doing that. The other characters are always shielding her and she didn't seem motivated at all to become stronger. Though just like the MC, it is only near the end of the season that she will finally find her way around but again, will see more of that in season 2.
Now concerning the other characters, I simply love them all. Really, this anime has so much characters, each having their own fighting style, their personality and it just adds so much dynamic to the story as a whole. It's really refreshing to watch and they are given just the right amount of screen time. It's amazing. I feel like everyone is developed just right. Sometimes we won't even see the three MCs and the battles will just focus on the other side characters and it's great to be honest. They're so entertaining.
Also, I like the fact that the fights are not the typical one vs one fights. In world trigger, there are multiple squads, each with their own rank, each with members using different weapons and having different abilities and it's so cool to see them all work together to fight one enemy. Since there are a variety of triggers, the fights are never boring and it just keeps on getting interesting and interesting. This is probably one of the thing that I love the most about the anime - how everyone despite their rank and squad will come together to fight the bad guys.
Moreover, the story, the trigger technology and powers, etc, are all really interesting. I like the mechanics and I think that it is a really good idea.
And one more thing, the filler arc (starting at episode 49 to 63), I watched the first two episodes and the final episode of the arc, skipping the middle entirely, and really, I simply have no idea why this thing even exists. The anime would have been better without any filler. It served no purpose at all. It just bugged me and just delayed the good stuff that was happening. You can watch it though.
Well, other than that, I love the anime. I recommend it. I HIGHLY recommend it. World Trigger became one of my favs and it's now just so precious to me. I'll admit that it has its ups and downs but still I think that it is really worth it.
