Both is about getting into the music industry. Difference is that Uta no Prince-sama is boy band(idol) while Kaikan Phrase is a band(rock band or something like that). Then there's also a composer in both. Kaikan Phrase has romance is the lovey dovey kind in the later half while uta no prince-sama romance is not obvious. More like other kind of reverse harem since it is from a game. Okay idk if i'm making sense but you'll understand me if you watch them both.

I Just Thought That They Are Similar Because For Special A They have The Special Academy Where the Normal Students All Admire.. Same Goes For Vampire Knight Where there Is Night Class Where The Day Class Students Admires. Both Also Have Romance But Not Exactly The Same Type :)
