My review may be biased from me not having yet read the novel or the manga, but in my opinion Otherside Picnic is a greatly underrated anime that deserves a much higher score and more praise than it currently has.
-I thought the story was interesting and was excited to watch each episode. It felt like a mix between Girls' Last Tour and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with some Japanese folklore and internet/urban legends mixed in, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The anime had a good mix of action, horror/suspense, and humor. What more could you want?
-The art was decent.

The majority of people are going to be watching Golden Wings after seeing the main series of Legend of the Galactic Heroes. As one of those people, Golden Wings was painful to watch.
Where do I begin?: -Dusty Attenborough and Yang Wenli look nothing like their characters from the original series, and Yang's voice actor and personality are even radically different -On some of the Imperial characters, the uniforms look so different that you'd think they're Alliance uniforms at a glance -There's barely any storyline perspective of the Alliance -There's barely any interesting storyline at all save for what we already know from LoGH -The music is mediocre at best compared ... If I could rate this show an 11, I would! Noir is my absolute favorite anime, and this is the 2nd time of me watching it at the time of writing this review.
Story: The Story starts out shrouded in mystery as Kirika and Mirelle unravel the secrets of a mysterious organization known as the "Soldats". As each episode progresses, more of the mystery and a prophecy involving two assassins both known as "Noir" becomes clearer. Lots of exciting plot twists. The story is very exciting to follow! 10/10 Art: The art is excellent by early 2000's standards and has aged well in my opinion. The backgrounds ... Oct 31, 2016

-Abysmal plot -1980's art style in a 2005 movie (would have been fine if not for the abysmal plot) -Low budget sound effects (I'm surprised I didn't hear a Wilhelm scream) I think this movie would have had a chance to actually be decent if it were at least 20 minutes longer and had better sound effects. I actually liked some ... |
