I used to be very active on Discord, but it takes up a lot of your time, what with the instant replies. At least here on MAL I can take a few days to respond, and nobody will complain, bc it isn't an instant-chat website/application.
AHAHAHA NO that was just a silly typo.
I avoid minors too, but that's mostly because there's too much happening in their lives and there isn't much consistency when it comes to their responses. One day they're talking their asses off and the next, they go off to college in a different state and neve login to MAL again.
There are many anime fans in your age group, and while many can be quite obnoxious, others are quite decent people. I think you'd enjoy yheir company, but that's just me.
I just assumed you did, bc you've been here for 4 years now and you have only 6 comments, with none before 2022. Some people prefer keeping special comments on their profile, but that didn't make sense for the comments on your profile, so I thought I'd ask you.
"said Frieren is taking forever to get anywhere and deserves a 2 or 3* (one of his favorite's is monster)"
I gave it a (4) for many reasons, not a "2 or a 3" although it honestly shouldve been. First off besides straight up getting the score wrong, you are heavily misrepresenting my point. The problem wasn't the pacing in Frieren. You are cherry picking a very small part of my whole review and pretending it is the reason I gave Frieren a low score to begin with. I have no problem with slower paced shows, and I actually usually enjoy them more when they're done right but Frieren is not done right in any way. First off realize the only slow part in monster is the library arc which is slow paced sure, but is masterful in character building, and it does a lot right. The difference between the slow paced parts of Frieren and in Monster is that Frieren has a poor excuse of character building during these episodes. Not only that, it is building up to nothing. The library arc in monster is building up to some of the best events in anime, meanwhile Frieren is building up to one of the most underwhelming parts in anime (the exams). All that happens in the middle episodes is comedy scenes with stark and fern and they pretend like they are building a relationship, but at the end it just regresses every time. Every episode is the same pretty much through 10-18 in Frieren. You fundamentally misunderstand that not everything that is slow paced are the same. Monster is slow paced in a good way, while Frieren is slow paced in a bad way. Don't you dare come in my comments trying to compare the garbage that is Frieren to one of the best tv shows ever made, it should be a crime.
