Gokushufudou is a good example of an anime with an excellent plot and unique characters, but is completely messed up by a poor art style.
Each episode has 3 plots, with little carrying over from each one other than characters. This lets the show have high-quality bite-sized plots, preventing you from getting burnt out.
I’d also like to mention the art style once again. I have to admit it’s incredibly close to the manga, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. There’s not much actual animation, and the animation that is there looks like someone dragging a JPEG around a photoshop document.
Overall, a

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

A hidden gem? No, but pretty damn good.
The story is a tad bit generic, and you could say it’s a bit of an Attack on Titan rip-off, but the slight subtleties of it adds a spark of originality to it that I don’t see in very many other anime in the same genre. The art is also top-notch. The time period of being in the industrial revolution is very underused, but Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress handled it well with steam trains and industrial machinery. The actual Kabane also had interesting designs. To tell you the truth, I don’t really care that much about sound, but ... Feb 6, 2021

Are you looking for a comedy starring your favorite Hololive Vtubers?
Well, you came to the right place. Holo no Graffiti is a series of short ONAs starring the idols of Hololive, uploaded to the official Hololive YouTube channel about once a week. There isn’t much continuous story, and the art style is literally the idol’s 3D models animated and voice acted by the idols themselves. However, each episode is short enough to tell a short, comedic story centered around 3 to 8 of the idols, usually taking place in a CG version of the Hololive office. Overall, 10/10, I can’t think of any downsides. Dec 8, 2020

I’ll keep my review brief. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Break Time Is a series of 2 minute shorts taking place in between episodes from season 1. While they aren’t canon, it is filled with little interactions between characters that aren’t meant to just fill the plot. That is either a positive or a negative, depending on how you look at it. However, the 2 minute episodes are perfect for these. Each one is a different interaction between 2-4 different characters.
Overall, I enjoyed this anime, and I recommend it to Re:zero fans who want more character development, or just want to see Ram insult Subaru half ... Oct 31, 2020
Osoroshii Koroshiya to Hirowareta Shoujo is a doujinshi made by the same author and illustrator of Sewayaki no Kitsune Senko-san.
The characters are interesting, with a emotionally dead hitman and a little girl. However, there isn’t very much character development. However, this is expected of a short 13 chapter doujinshi. Overall, this is an okay manga. The story skips over a lot, but the story isn’t really the reason why you would read this manga. I recommend this to fans of Sewayaki no Kitsune Senko-San, as it has a similar level of cuteness, but with a lot more violence and blood. Jul 9, 2020
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon
(Anime)
add
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is about Kobayashi, an average office worker, coming home to a dragon she saved asking to be her maid.
The plot of the show is similar to titles like The Helpful Fox Senko-san, as it is wholesome and funny. However, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a bit more lewd, but is equally as wholesome. The characters are sort of basic, with the dark Fafnir, to the childhood rival Elma, but they show up in different times in the series, making each of them feel unique. The OP and ED are perfect fits for the show, being both wholesome and cute, which is just the ... Jul 6, 2020

This anime was one of the few anime where I watched most of it, but couldn’t finish it.
I’ll start with the characters. There are only seven main characters, but they all have one thing in common: they are crazy. The plot is okay at first, but I stopped because around episode 10 it became really slow and, no matter how many times I tried, I couldn’t finish it. The art is okay, with the normal anime style, except a bit more dark and edgy. The music is my favorite part of it, though the bar is pretty low. Overall, I didn’t really enjoy this anime, as the plot ... Jul 5, 2020
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu: 365-nichi no Jikan is a recap/compilation of the plot of Assassination Classroom.
It’s plot is that Nagisa and Karma meet up in class 3-E building years after the events of Assassination Classroom, and reminisce about all of the things that happened. However, it has about 5 minutes of original animation, and is mostly shortened scenes from the anime. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend you watch it, as it is just a less detailed recap of the story, but if you do watch it I recommend doing it after watching both seasons of the anime, as it will spoil the ending. WARNING: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS PARTS OF THE SERIES
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders is the third part in the JJBA series. It is about Jotaro Kujoh, the son of Joseph Joestar. Jotaro’s mother becomes ill, and Jotaro has to journey to Egypt to defeat Dio. It also kept the same classic Araki art style, with lots of lines to shade characters. This part included many more characters than previous parts. However, each character retained the uniqueness of the past parts of the series. From the older Joseph to the cherry-licking Kakyoin. The plot was also very good, with the journey having many twists and turns ... Jul 5, 2020

The Helpful Fox Senko-san is about a overworked office worker named Nakano who comes home from work one day to a Fox goddess named Senko.
The plot is about as wholesome as it gets, with Senko pampering Nakano in many ways. However, the show never became lewd, which I enjoyed. There are only a few characters, but I think the characters are well done, ranging from caring Senko to the fangirl-ish Kouenji. I don’t normally mention OP’s and ED’s in reviews, but The Helpful Fox Senko-San has some of the most feel-good music I’ve ever seen in anime. Overall, The Helpful Fox Senko-San is a great, wholesome anime ... |
