I try to review the movie without including any spoilers.
Koe no Katachi, otherwise known to the west as 'A Silent Voice' is a story based around Shoya, a male protagonist with a drastic character change through the events he both created and suffered throughout his life.
The way the story pans out for the viewer is great; starts off with the viewer questioning the current events. Then transitions into a sort of explanation of why things have become what they have over a good period of time. Many may call it backtracking to explain the more important parts of the movie/story but it is an essential
...
element that not only depicts character development (which we will touch on later) but also gives the viewer a grip on the story. Given the time span of the movie because around two hours, the content given to the viewer is much more than what can be learnt through normal experiences in the real world in two hours in terms of thoughts, feelings and lessons learnt. However, if we retract from what was learnt and focus on the story on itself, to me I felt there was something left for more to yearn for, answers that can easily be answered but maybe the maker wanted to leave them unanswered.
Art, as always, Kyoto Animation gives the viewer a bubbly art style that truly suits the environment of the story. Albeit character design was decided by the Mangaka, the animation was flawless and beautiful with vibrant colours. I rated a 9 because I feel like I wanted a beautiful scenic shot that was memorable within the movie.
Sound, VA was delightful, much emotion and suited characters incredibly. I gave it an 8 because the sounds track was a bit lacking. Albeit, the main soundtrack was played in iconic scenes, I can only remember it being played twice as a viewer. It could be due to my lack of focus or you could think that they lacked a diverse OST and planning for its usage.
The characters were fine, given that it was a movie, the focus on showing Shoya's character development from a kid to whom he was now is fierce. Did he develop throughout the movie? Maybe not throughout but there were leaps of characterisation in the story. There are many unanswered questions about Characters but the portrayal of every character was great and enjoyable. Whether the makers wanted you to hate/like a character was did very well.
Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. It was tear jerkingly relatable and had meanings to be learnt or reminded for the viewer. Rated 9 overall. Unmistakably amazing.

- I've only read to the latest chapter so... yeah -
I stumbled onto this manga... well accidentally because I am a suckah for romance/comdey mangas. So right of the bat there was a H sceme and I was like "Dude your 15, almost 16, this ain't nothing".... So I continued to read.
The story itself was well written, there are parts which are hard to understand and plotholes, well there aren't 'many'. But the story is really well written.
There isn't too much of a twist and the story can be seen as 'made as you go'. But it fitted well. There are a lot of
...
H scenes and talking, but the character developments and relationships make you want to scream your opinions out when reading it.
Sorry if it was a bad review, but I did put myself out there!

I have nothing else to do but my educational studies but screw that because of the way I think and how I list things of importance.
Anyways, lets get onto the review, I will be breaking this into sections so it's easier for you to read. I will try my hardest not to include any spoilers so do not worry.
Storyline
Well you can read above about the Plot of the series from MAL itself so why bother explaining again? I will just get right into the details. The story line is great throughout the series if your not one of those typical people who pick out
...
the slightest missing details.
The storyline itself is very beautiful, well written with parts which reduced its popularity by miles. When watching this, be sure to brace yourselves for the worse imaginable situations. I gave the Story a 7/10 for plot holes, and other spoiling factors which I dare not to breath.
Art
The art is amazing, shows what kind of producers you can hire with a good enough budget. The art is beautiful and will catch your attention immediately. I believe art is necessity for an anime to be watchable and this artwork is beyond that, there are no details left not enhanced and character designs are beautiful - they made the character design "can be judge by the cover" almost.
Sound
For the very first time, I enjoyed every song of the soundtrack for an anime. GC has the best soundtrack I have ever had the privilege of hearing. Songs like Bios and Release my soul are connected somehow I believe by saying things like "I risk my soul for you" which is dear and touching even though both tunes have different tempos for different scenes/atmosphere.
Furthermore, they have been composed to compliment the situation within the story which will simply push you over the edge. If you were on of those people who feel off the bridge at the end of 5CMPS by its soundtrack, again brace yourselves for CG.
Characters
I have said that the designs can be used to judge character, but it doesn't really apply to everyone though. Shu the protagonist is a weakling, and he does look like one too. But what I enjoyed most about this anime is that it really focused on the two main characters who developed though out it. However, the pacing was slow, then rushed.
Also, the characters portrayed humans in ways you wouldn't imagine, the characters kept their human instincts, but let their surviving instincts howl, showing the true nature of humans and what we would do to survive.
Enjoyment
Overall I enjoyed this anime, it wasn't really clear on how things could end as a lot is given away, but I still couldn't figure out things 100%. Many red-herrings were left about the place. I remember my brain was going off in a tangent through many episodes due to the excitement and thrill of the story.
Overall Summary
Because of a few minor story details and one big blow for me personally, I'll rate it as 9/10 overall as it fit my categories. It is similar to Eureka Seven in many cases but it wasn't as laxed and slow paced. It was rushed which ruined many things.
This anime could've been the full 10/10 if they too their time more and decided to make the right turns in the storyline. I'm being generous giving it a 9/10 due to characters, relations, OP/ED, Art and Soundtrack. That 1 lost rating is due to the screwed up storyline of a total sadist.

Overall Score By Me = 10
Genres that i personally think this fall in = Romance, Mecha, Action, Story-Twist,
Review.
I have watched this anime two or three time. That already tell you that I like it. I personally love romance/comedy genre animes. However, the way the producers adapted Romance to Mecha was brilliant. When there was action you loved it, when there was love scenes you never knew what would happen. I didn't see any flaws through the 50 episodes about romance. They twisted and merged the facts of reality and fantasy together, Renton and Eureka (Two main characters and lovers) had falling outs and made
...
up, just like everyday life.
The side-characters, the producers have done well to put many of the side characters into the story. Example, every episode they would make one side character stand out so you know them enough. Unlike other animes, you dont even know who he was and when he joined the group.
Conclusion, this anime is awesome. Just be careful when it ends. You will feel a bit down T^T
