I'm thinking to myself: "what would happen if Tokyo Akazukin should be made into a anime?" Well the US would probably ban it for sexual exploit of underage ecchi. But Tokyo Red Hood shouldn't JUST be blamed\credited for that; it also has an healthy dose of gore and visual horror.
Tokyo Akazukin can be described as 'dementedly weird' or 'twisted wonderful'. You really only have to read the first chapter to see if its up to your speed or not. To me it clearly was.

What makes a good anime? Plot....characters...and perhaps an excessive bit of violence ^^. Though Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage isn't quite different from the first season there is viewer joy to be found in the second season...
Most memorable (and perhaps the highlight) is the first three episodes of Second Barrage. The debut of Hansel and Gretel hurls us into the story and by the end of Swan Song At Dawn you'll wish you could replay it (at least I did ^^). But either than that this season moves in a more serious direction with Mafia fights, sad pasts and a whole lot of trigger happy ... |
