Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid (Anime) add

Ok so first of all anyone who hates Cgi just in general can go suck a truck because I’m tired of every decent Cgi series be compared to Ex-Arm it’s clearly without a doubt not even close to that seriously y’all are stupid or being an annoying troll (seriously trolls y’all ain’t funny get a life) but anyway review of the show

“Giving a white wilted rose means to give never ending love” Now I don’t know if that’s true but man did that tug my heart strings

Animation: (7) Ok so yes the anime is CGI and before you walk away from it, it’s ... done by J.C Staff which in my opinion have been pretty good with Cgi shows lately, nothing mind blowing like studio orange but just enough to be decent to pretty good and yes I think traditional 2d would have worked more for this show but the animation itself is clean and smooth and it’s able to fully capture the main characters charm and the atmosphere of the show (goth esthetic but also very bubbly)

Story: (8) Now just the premise itself is interesting, a man who can’t touch anything because otherwise it’ll die and his maid teasing him romantically and sexually, sounds stupid but it’s very thought provoking as at first glance it seems like that’s kind of dumb but the way the show plays the premise is super adorable and sad with showing us the struggles the main character has to go through and how while miserable he is, the maid teasing him gives him life and makes him feel happy in his darkest times and keeps him sane.

Characters: (9) My favorite part of this series, there are more characters to come but for the review I’ll focus on the main two Bocchan and Alice. Now honestly I was expecting at most that they would like each other and just not admit it (a typical trope) and I would still like the series but seeing these twos adorable interactions mixed with the obvious love for each other is so touching as we see their emotions as they want to embrace and love each other but can’t is heart breaking. The twos dynamic is so entertaining I just crave more each episode and the way they express their love without touching is so good I almost cried. Seriously just so sweet. Also both VA’s are doing a really good job and both play their character so well and makes the characters full of life (ironically cause you know….Duke of death…..anyway)

Music: (7) Normally this bit is for OP’s and ED’s but this anime actually has piano performances and singing from the main lead. Personally I haven’t really watched the ED yet so I can’t give a fair opinion but the OP is wonderfully simple and cute with nice symbolisms with the main leads singing the song together, it’s very simple but nice. But what makes this a 7 is the piano performances and the singing actually touched me and brings a nice ambience to series

Personal Enjoyment: (10) Nothing to do with actual score just really enjoy this series and I usually only do reviews for series I extremely enjoy (expect for my first review, that was just me giving a trashy series credit where it’s due with what it was) but yeah the other ones are series that get misunderstood and need more love

Overall: (8) Now I really appreciate this series, it took a premise that I expected to be cute and dumb and made it that but so much more with the story being interesting while very cute and the romance is very heart breaking and sweet to watch (coincidentally the manga was announced for English release around when the first episode aired so I’m definitely buying that) and yeah if you like romance give this anime a shot it’s a fun ride and I hope more people start to appreciate it

Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! (Anime) add

Uzaki Chan isn’t a complicated series but for its genre it’s really good in all departments and as a manga reader it only gets better on from here content wise. Now I’m being a little partial since this is one of my favorite series but otherwise I’ll be fair with a review if the anime adaptation sucks, in this case it doesn’t suck because besides few background characters from afar are sometimes CGI from a far shot( like most anime’s) the animation is smooth and simple and definitely makes Uzaki Chan’s expressions shine more. Though admittedly the studio behind the series sometimes makes Uzaki’s eyes ... to big compared to the manga and for some reason so many people are annoyed with that even though it’s not that bad. I’m not going to get into the Uzaki drama because it’s literally over nothing and it’s all unnecessary and totally undeserved especially since this series isn’t some trash anime of the season kind of stuff and it’s actually enjoyable with many likable things about it...so anyway the review.

Story: (7) Now these days with slice of life comedy series it’s extremely hard to think of something creative since it’s slice of life after all but that’s not really important with these kind of series, what’s important is characters and comedy if both of those things suck then it’s not a good slice of life series and this kind of slice of life story fits into the same role as Takagi and Nagatoro san (series about teasing) and while those series are very good it mostly involves the main heroine teasing their friend or senpai until they develop an adorable relationship between each other and while Uzaki fits into that category it’s more mutual teasing between Uzaki and Sakurai and being in college theirs more mature things involved with their teasing and some sexual bits.
But surprisingly despite Uzakis big badonkers there is rarely any ecchi scenes and it focuses more on the character interaction which is one of this series best things going for it. Which is why I think this series can separate itself from any average slice of life series because of how it portrays it compared to other series.

Characters: (9) Now like I said before the key to a good slice of life comedy is fun characters and obviously good comedy. Now comedy is subjective to each person so I’ll say that the comedy itself is a mixture of fun back and forth of roasts to sometimes sexual humor to hilariously clever misunderstandings and hilarious rants of relatable and stupid things. But the main seller of this series is the characters and is why this series is popular in the first place.
Now before I get to why the characters are great I would like to give a hand to the author and artist Take and how he makes both main characters attractive physically in their own ways like I think they have great personalities too and truly that’s what matters but god damn I can’t lie and so how attractive Uzaki is and the many moments of Sakurai showing off his muscles and making me drool a little bit (I’m joking about the drool but he’s hot don’t judge)
Anyway simply put Uzaki is both adorably annoying to very heart warming (especially shown in episode 3) that make Uzaki not just your stereotypical pair of tits type of character and we see her growth between her and Sakurai show how she is more then boobs like most people on Twitter think and how all she truly wants is to make Sakurai happy and Sakurai himself is enjoyably funny and we see that he isn’t a self insert MC and how
he’s got a personality past the one trick pony of getting nervous or angry at Uzaki I mean he does and it’s understandable why he does get mad at her sometimes especially the chicken scene in episode 1 (I felt that on a personal level) but he sees Uzaki tries and especially in episode 3 where we see him being grateful towards Uzaki helping him when he got sick.
Separately they are good but together they make one of the best duos in slice of comedy anime that I’ve seen recently because even when they are just helping each other with homework they just click it never feels like to random strangers put together out of nowhere for lol’s it feels like they are soulmates in terms of friendship and hopefully romance soon.

Art/Animation: (7.5) I can’t give this a 7 exactly because it has some great moments but I just can’t give it an 8 because the animation isn’t amazing and I kind of don’t like how Uzakis eyes are a bit bigger then in the manga but it’s not the biggest deal to me. For a studio that only has done one other anime they are doing a pretty good job because nothing looks bad and even at some moments I’m impressed with the animation and they seem to focus on small details and making sure that nothing looks still and it’s appreciated.

Sound: (7) This consists of background music and OP and Ed’s, for the background music they add a good amount of sound effects but not in a way that makes it feel overboard but sometimes it does remind me of a Saturday morning cartoon with some sound effects and I’m not saying that’s a bad thing it gives off some charm and personally the Ed isn’t anything special but I do enjoy the op a lot it was one of those op’s that the more I listened to it the more it got stuck in my head because it’s got a good beat to it.

Enjoyment: (10) This doesn’t really affect my score but I truly do love this series and it’s characters and they always make me smile and trust me the series gets better as each chapter goes by and I can’t wait to see people’s reaction to some scenes because this series is a gem in the amount of series that are airing in summer 2020 so I hope people actually watch the series before they say that this series is nothing but tits

Overall: (8.5, I don’t know whether to choose a 8 or 9 for it yet so I’ll stick with one of those and we’ll see) Now the manga is a 10/10 great slice of life series but I have small tidbit issues with the anime but none of them make a big deal or anything at all it’s just that I can’t say it’s a 10/10 unless I find it not flawed at all (even though in some cases I give 10/10 to series that I know have at least small problems but I still enjoy them anyway).

Anyway hope y’all enjoy this series and if you know that you’ll won’t enjoy the series due to personal taste or what not then don’t ruin the score, if you like these genres and still don’t enjoy it then those criticisms are okay because I know that those scores are at least honest and fair unlike ANN reviews of this series

This series is beyond adorable I just love it from the characters to the art this series is simply amazing and even though this series isn’t for everyone any fan of this genre will definitely enjoy it OxO

Story(7):Now back when this anime was announced I didn’t know what to think of it, just another game adaption that I may or may not enjoy but even though the story is simple it’s done very well. This series doesn’t feel like a game adaption to me it feels more like a manga with how the story feels, usually that’s why game adaptations don’t work well sometimes because ... the story is only suitable for a game but though I haven’t played the games myself (heard great things about it though) this series is simple to understand without feeling confused over things that can only be explained in a game format

Basically the story is simple a boy is falling from the sky (we figure out later his name is Yuuki) and he is said to be the fabled hero that’s going to save the world and he is greeted by an elf girl said to help him on his journey named Kokoro and she’s best girl, will explain later, and as events happen we meet the others of his party; Peccorine a very dumb but lovable girl with super strong powers and a monstrous appetite, and Karyl a tsundere cat girl with the power to control monsters these idiots join together and make a food guild where they will travel for the most delicious food. Simple but once you seen that anime you can see why it’s enjoyable

Characters (9): Now I’ve heard some people say they hate ones certain character but I see each character has their own charm. “Main Character” Yuuki is sent to the fantasy world as the hero but in reality he is really dumb because when entering this world he forgot all his memories and not just of himself but instead he can barely talk, hardly can tell what’s food and what’s not and has no strength really of his own, this brings many enjoyable scenes of Yuuki basically being the retarded puppy of the group because he’s useless but you love him anyway and he’s also used for rag doll moments like constantly getting beaten up by funny looking wolves or being eaten by sand monsters or even being dragged away as bait for a dragon...I personally find him hilarious.
Kokoro is best girl simply because she’s adorable and her dedication to Yuuki believing he is a special hero is just precious, she also makes a face that resembles this look OxO and it’s great seeing her be the only sane one in the group.
Pecorine is wonderful Genki girl with a heart of gold and a bottomless stomach, she’s also got insane powers that make her unbelievably strong so she should be considered the hero but she’s not because she’s to stupid to be a leader of sorts and she’s just of joy to watch.
Karyl the cat girl, she took me and bit to like her but she grows on you with funny she is and how she’s the only one who questions the group on why they are all so stupid even though she kind of is as well, in the beginning she’s set up as a major villain but by episode 3 she becomes part of the gang of food loving idiots

Art (10): I’m not exaggerating when I say that the animation in this series is breathtaking and is not only consistent but it gives off a feel of Konosuba with all the explosions, character designs are also fun and very creative with everyone having their own colors palettes and they play off each other well

Sound(7); Personally I love the OP but it’s nothing spectacular except for the animation part of it because it’s seriously very pretty

Enjoyment (10): this series is very fun for me because this series is a very nice mix of wonderful action scenes to wonderful comedy and slice of life, now if you aren’t usually of fan of these series I suggest not checking it out only because I think some Shounen fan boys would rate this series low for stupid reasons as you can tell by the score

Overall (9): Now I know this series in terms of story is nothing special but I believe that simple stories can work really well if everything else is good and in my opinion it’s really good I don’t know how the rest of the series will go so that’s why I’m not rating it 10/10 yet but in terms of enjoyment this series is 10/10 but I got to see how the rest of the series goes

Tsuujou Kougeki ga Zentai Kougeki de Ni-kai Kougeki no Okaasan wa Suki desu ka? (Anime) add

Now I know people are going to disagree with me on some regards but this is how I feel about this series and personally I love it and look forward to each episode also this is my first review for an anime so don’t be harsh

Story: (7) It’s a typical Isekai story but the main difference is the main character goes to a video game world as apart of a government project and his mom is going with him, I don’t think a story has to be creative in order to be good so I don’t really mind that it’s an Isekai

Art (7) ... Arts pretty standard as in animation wise, from what I see so far the characters and the world itself look good and CGI is used for monsters but it looks pretty good so far and looks like it fits into the world. The only thing I say is different art wise is the characters designs and how they look specifically the eyes and honestly I love how the eyes are drawn and creates a bit of uniqueness design wise

Sound (7) Soundtrack is standard though I do think the OP is very catchy visually and the song itself not much to say here

Characters (8) I admit that I read this series before this aired at least a couple of the light novel volumes so I knew that the slime scene was going to happen and honestly I don’t like it and that is the only thing I dislike about this series (the very weird Ecchi scenes) but what sticks out to me is the characters and not as in they are beautifully written and are the best characters of all time, they aren’t but what I like about them is how real the are in the sense that their stories felt real to me and they show more then just one emotion outside of the characters stereotypes.
Take Wise (the Tsundere for example) when I first saw her I thought I had her figured out and who she was some semi bitchy tsundere who is very rude to our MC Masato despite the fact that she likes him but I was wrong...sorta she is sorta rude and isn’t really a wonderful person but not only does she know that they way she treats him is a problem but actually tries her best to apologize and try to get along with everyone in the party again and honestly I felt sad when she told her story about her and her mother and how the way she is treated is just awful
I know I spent to much time talking about Wise so I’ll just make the rest of the characters short as I can

Masato (our main lead) Though he is a bit of an ass to Mamako he shows that he truly loves her and it’s not that he doesn’t love her it’s the fact that he doesn’t want to be treated like a little kid, he’s also really funny at times and his cringe faces always put a smile to my face

Mamako She’s pretty standard as the doting mother type but honestly the way she is with her son is kinda adorable and she’s just trying her best to be a good mom but she does need a bit of a backbone when it comes to Masato, even though he immediately apologizes to Mamako after he is rude to her she just needs to be a little more strict with him

Porter Their isn’t much to say about her yet, she’s adorable she’s actually a asset to the team and she isn’t lewded at all so that’s a plus

Shirase Funniest character in this series I love her and her role to the story as the Shirase (informer) she tells you things and then she dies love her

Medhi: Personally my least favorite of the bunch but not saying it in a bad way, sometimes she can be really funny and roast the shit out of the side characters and sometimes she’s just a bitch

Enjoyment (9) Though their is some cliches with this story (it’s a freaking Isekai it’s has to have some cliches) I say that it utilizes what it has well and makes a really fun story

Overall 7.5 It has some unenjoyable things in this series like the faint incest undertones but the mother and son only view each other as mother and son so I can deal with some ecchi scenes as long as they don’t end up together (it doesn’t seem like it in the light novel and manga) but overall it’s a sweet and hilarious mother and son Isekai story that I know isn’t enjoyable to all but you can’t satisfy everyone especially with Isekai so I know that some people will say it’s the worst story ever but they are just exaggerating
