Clannad After Story, one of the most emotive animes that I have ever seen. Anyone that watches this must at least laugh once, cry once and also learn the importance of the family which is the main theme of Clannad, for me that is what I learned. Clannad After story is the continuation of Clannad and if you cried on the first season thanks to a few arcs then that was nothing compared to what Key and Kyoani did on the second season.
Story: Clannad After Story as I said continues after the end of the first season. Now Tomoya and Nagisa started dating and they
...
must go on like graduating, getting a job and other things. After Story was divided into two parts: the first one is still school era and Key finishes telling some supporting character stories like Sunohara, Misae and Yukine, after that, the arc of Tomoya life after school begins and this is where the most important moments happen. I won't say anything more because there are alot of spoilers but I guarantee you that in the last episodes you will cry alot and also you will learn new things, especially the importance of family. Jun Maeda said that family was the theme of Clannad and he was right, it is.
Art: Kyoani and Key did an excellent job in the art area. The characters look better, the animation is more fluid and the environment in the background looks good too. Nothing more to say here.
Sound: Same music as Clannad, well, it was supposed to be because both animes come from the Visual Novel. New tunes I can say are Toki Wo Kizuma Uta, the beautiful song that Lia sings in the opening and her ending too although I think that ending doesn't fit in the anime. The songs are still beautiful to hear and Kyoani knew where to put it for make the scene even better. The seiyuus also did a wonderful job, especially Tomoya, Nagisa and someone new that will appear later.
Character: Clannad After Story is almost completely devoted to the story of Tomoya and Nagisa life after they graduate from school but the one that had the best character development is Tomoya. Not gonna post alot about him but I can say that the development he had in the first season isn't nothing compared to the development he had in After Story. Characters that also get more screentime are Akio and Sanae, Akio is still a funny guy that overprotects his daughter and Sanae is also the kind mother figure. Sadly, other characters like Kyou, Sunohara, Kotomi and Tomoyo don't appear alot in this season.
Overall: Clannad After Story is perhaps one of the most beautiful animes that I have ever seen. I cried alot and I admit it and if I watch any of those scenes I'll cry some manly tears. I recommend anyone to watch it and see for yourself one of the best works Key did. Overall, I think that the tale of Tomoya Okazaki and Nagisa Furukawa is one of the best ever made because the studios really knew how to make it and show their human emotions. Both of them passed good times and sad times like any normal human do.

Eureka Seven: Pocket Full or Rainbows is the first and for the time being, the only movie based on Eureka Seven. Bones instead of doing a sequel or prequel decided to make an alternate universe using the characters of the original Eureka Seven and also many things that people that have seen the original series will remember. Ok, let's start with the review but be warned that having watched the original anime I have some mixed feelings about the movie.
Story: It is good on its own right but it doesn't close to the original. In this movie Renton and Eureka are friends since they were
...
kids, suddenly one day the military comes to the place where Eureka is and they take her away from Renton. When he grows up he enters the army and then he is recruited for enter the Gekko Go. When they were defending a town, Renton manages to find Eureka and he takes her to the Gekko Go. This is just the beginning of the story of the movie but it is interesting and has alot of surprises waiting for you. For me the story gets a 8/10.
Art: Well, comparing the original Eureka Seven there is an upgrade on the visuals, it looks better but there is also one bad point of the art and that is something I'm quite annoyed, Bones recycled alot of places from the original Eureka Seven. Yeah, there are some places that are made for this movie like the beginning but after that almost everything is recycled. For this the movie gets a 7/10.
Sound: Original seiyuus from the original and like the original, they did a good job voicing their characters. 8/10.
Characters: Even if Bones used the same characters of the original series for make this movie, there are alot of changes for some characters. Renton is almost the same as the original but this time he is the one that understand the new Nirvash, characters like Eureka change alot, for example, Eureka in the original was a quiet girl that hardly talked at the beginning but here she is always calling Renton baka when he does something imprudent, Dominik instead of being the reckless guy of the original here is a serious guy and the sensei of Renton and Eureka, others change too like Hap, Anemone... The bad thing here is that it lacks the character development of the original but being a movie of almost two hours it is ok. 7/10.
Overall: Eureka Seven: Pocket Full of Rainbows is a good movie. For people that haven't watched the anime will like it alot and even, for people that have watched the anime will like it even if you feel like me that there are alot of things that you have seen but there are some differences. Personally I didn't like so much the backstory of the crew of the Gekko Go or that Dominik and Anemone didn't have an active role like in the original or that they didn't explain alot. There is something that really turned me off, in this one the Nirvash and TheEnd weren't originally the robots we know, instead they are some "cute" small things called fairies and for some reason they can turn into the mechas, that is clearly the only thing that I hated of this movie and instead of explaining what they were and how they transformed into the mechas Bones didn't do that. Overall I give Eureka Seven: The Movie a 7/10.

Eureka Seven; at first I was quite skeptical not by the number of episodes, I was skeptical because I thought it was another shonen series but now in mechas and the character models were odd for me but I was wrong and this turned to be one of the best animes I have ever seen.
Story: The main plot of Eureka Seven is... love. No, I'm not kidding, the most important thing here is the love of Renton and Eureka. The story of our young hero begins when an odd mecha comes to his grandfather's house and inside the mecha is a girl called Eureka. Eureka
...
is a mysterious girl for Renton but immediately he starts loving her despite she doesn't show her feelings. After that, they work together for defeat the Federation military because Eureka belongs to a group of terrorists called Gekko State and then Renton leaves his grandfather for enter the Gekko State crew and then the journey for win Eureka's heart begins for Renton.
The story is good and quite spectacular but the main problem of Eureka Seven is that the plot takes a while for become good. The first ten episodes is like getting to know the crew of the Gekko State but then the good thing begins. Another bad thing of the story is that at the end there are still some things left unexplained but after that the plot is quite elaborated and good.
Art: This place isn't my strongest area but I'll do my best. The character models at the beginning left me quite... surprised because I never saw character models like the cast of Eureka Seven but after a while I got accustomed to them. The good thing is that there is an evolution in the art and at the end of the series it looks way better than at the beginning. But after that the other things were great like the colors they used, the shadows and all that.
Sound: Superb quality, all the seiyuus did a good job on this one. The voice acting is one of the strongest points of this anmie and also the music; specially the first opening made by Flow (yes, the very same that sang Colors and World End but before doing it).
Character: And now, the best and strongest point of Eureka Seven: the characters. What may I say, this show has alot of memorable characters and also it has alot of character development. Say for example Renton, at first he was like a whiny boy but at the end he becomes one of the strongest character in the series and not by super powerful power like Goku, he becomes one of the most strongest characters in determination for save the people he loves. Eureka also has alot of character development and that development is even shown in her physical appearance unlike the other characters (with the exception of Talho). Not only the main characters have development, even the secondary characters like Holland, Anemone and many others and also they are credible.
Overall: Eureka Seven is certainly a long journey. It has its happy parts, its sad parts and many others. It is quite slow at the beginning but after that it gets good and you wonder what will happen to the members of the Gekko State after you finish each episode. The most beautiful element of this anime is the love between Renton and Eureka and how their love becomes stronger and that even being just two young people they will go on together forever.

So Bleach, the good old Bleach, one of the most important Shonen series right now. Bleach Fade to Black is the third movie of the Bleach franchise being preceded by The Diamond Dust Rebellion and Memories of Nobody. First and before all, if you don't like the series then I doubt you will enjoy this movie.
Story: As a side story the story of this movie doesn't relate to the main story. By some odd reason Captain Mayuri is experimenting on something and somehow a white liquid appears and start freezing shinigamis. Meanwhile, Rukia Kuchiki who was in Soul Society at that time is impacted
...
by a weapon and she loses all of her memories and all the people that know her also lost the memories of Rukia... Well, almost everyone, the only one that wasn't unaffected was Kon and some minutes later Ichigo. Ichigo embarks on a journey for discover what happened to Rukia. I'll put to the story a 6 out of 10.
Art: The same as the anime but it adapts pretty well on the events that happened to Soul Society. 7/10
Sound: The same seiyuus and same music but some new ones that really goes well with the movie. 7/10
Characters: well, again the same as the anime so you will see the impatient Ichigo, the mother caring Rukia, the cold Byakuya, etc. 6/10
Enjoyment: For being a movie based on a Shonen serie you will see alot of interesting battles. Even if you don't like Bleach, you cannot say that the fights are quite good and we can see characters that hardly appear on the manga or in the anime fight so thats a good point of its favor. 7/10
Overall: The story isn't that interesting but the enjoyment of watching Ichigo, Renji and others fight for save Soul Society and at the same time save Rukia's memories is what gives life to this movie. It isn't as interesting as the second or first movie but it holds great; although it is forgettable. The only thing I didn't like of this movie is how Ichigo over abused of his bankai (although he tends to do that in the main series) and that Ishida, Sado or Inoue didn't appear at all nor are mentioned. 7/10 is the overall for this movie. Good for watch and waste like two hours but not worth watching again.

For being a short OVA of six episodes Murder Princess is an anime that will keep you entertained. Of course, don't expect a mindblowing anime with the best story, best characters and all of that.
Story: Quite simple; the Kingdom of Forland is under attack by monsters and they plan to kill the royal family. Princess Alita escape from the castle and on the way for escape she finds an infamous bounty hunter called Falis. For some reason, when they fall thanks to Alita pushing her by fear after being attacked by a monster, they exchange body and Falis now becomes the princess of the
...
kingdom with all her skills of being a bounty hunter. Alita convinces Falis to protect her kingdom. As I said, the story is simple so don't expect major things to happen.
Art: Quite good, nothing spectacular but it isn't ugly neither. The anime usually revolves in the past where the kings were ruling the kingdoms so you may have an idea of how the art is. It also shows some interesting stuff that look good.
Sound: Perhaps one of the strongest point of the anime; well, if you like electric guitar. The opening, Hikari Sasuhou, is great and the music that the show puts is also with electric guitar. Now for the seiyuus, the only ones I knew were Falis (Toushiro Hitsugaya) and the two robot girls (Hitagi Senjogahara) and I must say they did a good job with this anime. The other seiyuus also did a good job. In that area, the studio did a good job.
Characters: Not boring but also they aren't memorable. Falis is your cold girl that only cares for money and rewards at the beginning. Alita is the girl that tends to be the damsel in stress. This show also has the sidekicks of Falis; one of them is a sharp guy and the other one a quiet guy that helps people like Alita. There isn't alot of character development but at least they aren't boring at all.
Enjoyment: Alot of fights, blood and some plot twists but predictable; it really is enjoying. Of course, if you don't like blood or fights then this anime isn't for you.
Overall: A big seven. The anime is quite good for being a short OVA of six episodes. The sound and enjoyment are the best things that this anime gives meanwhile the story is quite predictable; the characters and art aren't memorable but at least it is good. As long as you only mind the action then you should check this anime, you won't regret it.

This is my first review in MAL and I'm gonna use it on Lucky Star and to be honest, I'm going to be pretty harsh on this one.
I watched Lucky Star because I heard people speaking wonderful things of this anime and then I said I should watch it and see how it is. The pain, I couldn't stand it. Nevertheless, I tried to watch it and see if I could find something interesting but sadly I couldn't
Story: Pretty poor indeed, because there isn't a plot. The anime only talks about the life of 4 high school girls... 5 later. There isn't anything else, other
...
than talking about their usual lifes, food, animes, videogames, etc.
Art: The art was fine, I really liked the colors and how beautiful it looked but sometimes the art was bad in other parts. All I can say is that sometimes it looked great and sometimes it looked bad.
Sound: The seiyuus were great, especially Konata and Kagami but sometimes some voices ruined the mood like almost all the sales clerk that appeared because almost all of them had the same seiyuu and that ruined it. The opening to be honest was pretty bad; the music was kind of bad and the endings... the only one I liked was when Konata sang Chala Head Chala but the other ones were bad, especially when they started to put real actors in the ending.
Character: Hardly, there isn't a development there. The only thing that can be rescued is the fact of the interaction between Konata and Kagami but after all everything is dull. Let's put it this way; Konata is your typical otaku, Kagami the tsundere, Tsukasa the shy girl and Miyuki the one that is the intelligent.
Enjoyment: Bad, pretty bad. The anime is supposed to make you laugh or relate yourself to one of the character; I couldn't do that. The jokes and things that happen didn't amuse me at all and the characters the only one I could relate a little was Konata because she like me loves videogames and animes but that is all.
Overall: This anime isn't for anyone. If you like anime with plot and character development then get away from here, you will never like Lucky Star. The anime itself isn't bad but as I said, it isn't for everyone. Some people might like it and enjoy the characters and the jokes that I couldn't get but for me, this anime is quite overrated; not even all the references of Haruhi could save it.
