Sometimes there are adaptations to some periods that are pretty accurate. This premise starts in Tokugawa shogunate (Edo Period), the third and last shogunate of Japan before Meiji Restoration (the power from this point relays on the Emperor and not a supreme general and his respectives feudal lords). This setting is pretty interesting, but I think is a bit hard to swallow if you have not had, at least, small previous knowledge of japanese context in this era. With context I mean... Knowing what a hatamoto or a gokenin is (for example, these two were samurais at shogun's service, but the first one was above
...
the second one, because people with this title could have a personal audience with the great general (shogun) while the second one could not), and other therminology that could be a lot of information if someone has not a previous knowledge about this context.
I liked that men had had similar haistyles to people who actually lived in that era. The only thing that made me really unconmfortable was the reverse role of men and women due an epidemy. Maybe I am acting so sensitive to these "Put in women shoes reversing the gender roles"... But for me is not genuine... If men were drastically reduces in numbers, according to the era ideology, it would be easier and more "practical" for them arrange an harem for their own, if they really want to, again, increase men population. Besides... I started to simpatyze with their precary situations as part of a powerful figure's ornaments... But I do not know... At least under my point of view... It is wrong to portray the pain and suffering that belonged to harem's women (mistreats, raping, etc etc) for a long time throgh men characters in women roles...
Maybe for some people it is okay, but at least from my point of view... It does not make sense at all...
Is not a bad anime... But is not for me...

Fillerlike no Hero Academia.
I don't like fillers. The first part of this season was enjoyable, but since the firts time I saw the opening theme it was like... 'OK, filler incomming'. It was an awkard sensation. 2nd part of this season is also canon, but it felt like a filler... I didn't really like it.
If you want to enjoy this season, just watch the first part and last 3 episodes. The rest is just a waste of time.
Story
Eri's rescue was a decent arc. Fillerlike arc was not...
Art
...
Nothing to say, animation and character designs are pretty good.
Sound
Really good.
Character
Just kill Mineta already... and Endeavor. He was an abusive father and husband. I don't understand how people can really forgive him just because he wants to be the good guy now. I really don't like him, but well... It's only my personal view. Chars like him naturalizes violence against women.
Enjoyment
It was like... 8~9... till fillerlike episodes.
Overall
Oofff... 6.

As a japanese folklore theme anime lover, I'm a bit upset with this show...
I'm always waiting more chapters, to see any progress.
Lets check this in parts:
Story 5/10 (Mediocre)
Plot is simple. A girl, who can see supernatural creatures has been taken from an Oni Akayashi as a bride against her will, to pay his grandad's debts at a supertatural inn located in akayashi's world. Her grandfather was avaliable to see akayashis too, so he trained Aoi in culinary arts to fit ayakashi's tastes to give them food to not been devoured for one of them instead. He used to be famous in akayashi's world, and
...
even after his dead, his name is well known among akayashis. There (in Akayashi's world) he was always doing whatever he pleased.
And well... This plot sounds very intriguing. Sadly for us, the plot execution is SO BORING and unintresting, because the main storyline never gets reached, except for little moments.
Art 5/10 (Mediocre)
Character designs are cute, but lack of budget is a fact. Sometimes animation is bad, but ok... If the anime's good than doesn't really matter (is not the case with this show).
Sound 9/10 (Great)
Opening and endings are great, full of life and tradicional japanese spirit. Very enjoyable.
Character 3/10 (Poor)
Character development is poor, they really don't evolve. Except for Yuki Onna. And I have to admit that I love the ninja boy (Sasuke), he's so cute.
Enjoyment 5/10 (Medriocre)
When I'm really boring it's time to watch this anime ?_?...
Overall 5.4/10
This anime has a lot of wasted potential, and makes me sad. Who knows... Maybe I need to read the novels to cheer up.
[EDIT]
After watching episodes 16-17, my perception of this show has changed a bit.
Story 7/10
Second anime arc is more interesting than the first one. Some mistery is approaching.
Art 6/10
Perhaps is my own perception, but I think animation is a bit better.
Sound 8/10
I like the first opening, the second one is good, but I didn't love it.
Character 5/10
This remains yet similar than the first half, but we know more about certain chacarter's backgrounds.
Enjoyment 7/10
I don't understand how two episodes can do this more enjoyable, but it happened.
Everall 6.4/10

Mmmm... I think my review will be like all others here.
Story - 6 (fair)
Why I'm giving this story a six?, well... because plot wasn't so bad, the execution is the problem here... It was a good premise, but this anime was trying to grab so much stuff and ends saying nothing.
Art - 8 (very good)
This was the good part of the show, battles in mecha armors are very well done by the art crew. And characters in general are well animated, not at the same level of mecha armors, but are well done anyways.
...
Sound - 6 (fair)
I didn't like openings and endings, but I liked the OSTs fair enough to give them a 6, is not memorable, but something is happening inside my bones when I listen epic music.
Character - 2 (dreadful)
Oh, my... This is the reason of my poor enjoyment of the show... CHARACTERS ARE CRAP. I mean... Joan of Arc should be a badass woman and this version of her is an insult, I even like a bit more Himiko than her, at least she did something in the whole series. Oda Nobunaga is a bit better, but why is so one-dimensional character?, I didn't like how they wrote his personality. And well... the rest of the cast, except the ninja girls, the lady in charge of mechas maintance and Ichihime... are so annoying or entirely different from their real counterpart. And WTH... King Arthur ressembles more a dark sorcerer than a king... He was acting more like Betelgeuse from Re:Zero or Gilles de Rais (Caster) from Fate/Zero, really disgusting.
Enjoyment - 4 (decent)
It wasn't SO bad. I could, actually, finish the anime, but it was a bit painful because lack of personallities and weird and uncomfortable plot holes sometimes.
Overall - 5.2 (~6, fair)
I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone, but it WASN'T SO BAD. I just don't want to watch this again '-'...

(English is not my main language, so... If there's something odd in my grammar, I'm very sorry uwú)
Well, well... Here we have a typical shoujo manga. I don't know if I'm too old for this genre, but sometimes I can't stand some works... I mean, OK, shoujo manga is a mostly readed by young girls and josei is dedicated to "mature women", but I like romance stories, even if they're mostly cliché. This one in particular is lack of verisilmilitude.
And older guy,, good-looking and profesional stylist, suddenly fell in love with an average 15-16 years old high school student and, also, wants to marry her...
...
Completely cliché, but if you have a good explanation for that twist, I won't care. This story does not have that.
I'm tired of reading how Mary Sues find love with someone clearly unreachable for them, but I don't want to lose faith in shoujo genre.
Story - 3
Too cliché and boring to me, and nothing plausible to think "OHHH, THIS COULD HAPPEN TO ME OR ANY GIRL *kyun*". Luckily, it was a short story (3 chapters).
Art - 8
The only thing that was worth to enjoy. The art is beautiful, not outstanding, but very, very cute and refreshing.
Character - 3
Lack of development in all characters. And I don't understand the male lead at all. Why a succesful profesional wants to be with a 15 years old high school student... and MARRY her?, the female main character had more potential, at least she was independent enough.
Enjoyment - 4
As I said before, the art style was the most enjoyable.
Overall - 4
I would recommend to skip this manga if you don't like the typical cliché shoujo story.

I've watched the movie instanly after finish Ano Hana series... And it was a huge mistake.
This movie show us a different point of view, because all characters at least have a moment when their own thoughts are showed. I guess that's the movie's point, the narrator is not only Jintan, all other main characters have something new to give us to understand a bit more the whole series.
And... This give us a kind of decent ending to the series.
But... I wouldn't recommend to watch this movie instantly after finished the series.
The art is gorgeus, like in the series, main characters are a bit more developed.
...
But I expepected more story development, because summary said it was one year after the end of series... If you like to watch the same story, but with a different point of view, this is your movie. If you expect something new... is not.

Story: 6/10
Art: 10/10
Sound: 8/10
Character: 8/10
Enjoyment: 5/10 (DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE INSTANTLY AFTER WATCHING ANIME'S LAST CHAPTER!, You must wait at least two months)
