It started off kinda slow, and it took an episode for me to get used to the different art style, aka "bad CG". But the world made me curious so I decided to keep watching. The longer I watched the more curious I become. Who are these people? Who made them?what happened to the world?
To me, this anime has a similar feel as Girls' Last Tour. Both exploring a post apocalyptic world. They experiment with what they find, but for the most part, they are so focused on surviving that they don't wonder too much about the world around them. Girls' Last
...
Tour had better art and characters, but it was a slice of life. Kemurikusa has a lot more action and danger.
Story: 9
Art: 6 (CGI was kinda bad, but I got used to it after the first episode. Otherwise, there are some amazing scenes in the anime.)
Sound: 9 (used well to create a mysterious and oppressing atmosphere)
Character: 7 (some are a little plain, but I'm not sure they are actually human anyways)
Enjoyment: 9
Overall: 7
I rated my enjoyment as a 9/10, but I kinda have a thing for exploring abandoned buildings and stuff. The mystery and wonder of how things work, but also the nostalgia and sadness when I think about how millions of people used to live there and they all put so much into building it up, but now its all abandoned and falling apart. The people going through now don't even know how to use the simple tools and technology that was left behind.
It probably only deserves a 7/10 though. Most people were probably turned off by the slow first episode and the CGI. Honestly, some anime fans treat CGI the same way "normies" who only watch live action, treat all anime.

Objectively speaking, the romance itself is kinda cliche, other than the fact that it is between two girls. They go through some of the same romantic drama that you see in other romances. They get closer, something happens and they get awkward, then they get closer, then something happens and their fighting or something. But it was also very different because the interactions between two girls was quite different from any other real romance I've watched.
Also, the characters themselves seemed a lot different to me. Maybe I've seen too many harems, but this didn't have any same old boring character types. Even though the events
...
were sometimes cliche and predictable, the characters themselves stayed true to themselves and seemed pretty deep to me. When they resolved things, they actually grew as people. You could see the way they acted and dressed changed.
Anyways, I really liked it. Even though it felt similar to some other romances, it also felt really different. and different is good after watching too much anime. To be fair, I should also mention that I like yuri, so my opinion may be biased.

I didn't want to watch this anime. I don't normally enjoy magical girl shows. I dropped both Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura. (I tell myself they are only on hold until I can get back to them but I never do) The formula of magic item causing problems and innocent girl fixes it with random girly love power can't keep me interested.
Princess Tutu started out with pretty much the same formula, There was several times in the first half of the show that I thought, "This is boring, the MC isn't going to lose to these heart shards. The magical
...
girl always wins with the power of innocent happy emotions." But behind the happy innocent cover, there was much darker forces pushing the characters towards tragedy.
Other than the "magical girl scenes" there was a lot going on that had me worried about the characters. The characters felt like they actually had reasons for fighting and doing things, they had goals and they wanted to achieve them. The character with the most generic MC goal of wanting to save everyone, was not the main character. In fact, this was one of the most tortured characters. The characters had multiple layers other than just "good guy" "bad guy". When the normal happy magical girl ending happened, is when things took a real turn away from the normal magical girl formula and got really interesting.
By the end of the show I had cried TWICE! I never cry over anime! I couldn't believe it! Maybe it was just because my eyes were tired after staying up late to finish the anime.

Story: 7; The story is good. I thought it was similar to Haikyuu, only less intense. Possibly because there are less characters? I don't know really. Its a pretty simple story. I imagine you would find it boring if you have watched a lot of sports anime. I've only watched a few sports anime and this is my first sports manga.
Art: 10; The art is pretty amazing. Mainly because the Mangaka is really good at drawing sexy women without making their bodies all weird and distorted. He is also really good at positioning the "camera" for some sweet action
...
shots that capture the motion, direction, force, and perspective of the action... and the panties. (I remember thinking on one panel, "why does this panty shot look so badass? If she wasn't wearing a skirt, this would just be a really awesome picture of someone spiking the ball.)
Characters: 6; The characters are not the same old cliche characters I normally see, so I wasn't immediately tired of them, but they don't get "fleshed out" very much. actually, now that I think about it, a lot of the characters don't get fleshed out at all. None of the characters are very deep, and only a couple get any backstory. The rating might deserve a 5, but I enjoyed them so I can't bring the score that low.
The MC is just a little ball of energy who doesn't slow down for anything. I liked how she didn't get bi-polar and depressed just in order to add drama. She was simple, but I could always count on her to push as hard as she could to keep the story moving, and not get stuck up in pointless drama.
Enjoyment: 9; I really enjoyed this manga, but I think a large part of my enjoyment had to do with the mood I was in when I started reading this. I haven't watched a sports anime in a long time, and the last one I watched was Haikyuu, about volleyball. so it was interesting to compare it to beach volleyball.
Overall: 8; Personally I give it an 8, but if I'm being honest it deserves a 7. If this review was based only on the story and characters, I would have to give it a 6, but the artwork made me give it an 8.
Honestly, I was in a rather erotic mood when I read this. Normally I think fanservice is a bit distasteful, but I fully enjoyed it in this manga, and it was kind of unavoidable, when you have sexy girls playing beach volleyball, you can't avoid a bunch of fanservice. The story was so simple that all the fanservice didn't feel out of place as it would in a more serious story.

I started this season right after finishing the first two, so I carried my hype right over from S2. By itself, this season might not have as much diversity, as all 10 episodes are one game, but to me it truly felt like the cap to all the buildup from the other 2 seasons. The one match really deserved all 10 episodes after all the build-up.
It was tiring though, there was not a single break. The anime was intense all the way through and I kinda have a headache from lack of sleep and tensing up from stress.
But, since it
...
is all one tense match without much development beforehand, I think it is best to watch soon after the first two seasons and get the character and story development to carry over.

I'm not sure that this anime is very "amazing." But it is very different. I really enjoyed it. after watching over 300 different anime; they all start to feel the same. I often feel like I can see the future when watching them. Its like when something happens I can tell what "world line" the story is progressing down and what options are still open for the ending. Its like, "well, I guess this anime is going down that route."
but this anime was very different, and disturbing, and I'm going to go read the manga for the rest of the story.
you can read the other
...
reviews for pretty much the rest of the stuff you might want to know.
Story: 7
Art: 5 was kinda childish so not that great
Sound: 10 Didn't really pay much attention but it had catchy op and ed. and the death sounds made me cringe so i guess it was good.
Characters 10: I thought the characters were pretty different. a few of them were pretty lame. some of them were not fully revealed because anime is only half of story. I like the main character for her strong sense of right and wrong and willingness to help people. It isn't the stupid type of main character hero complex. at least I didn't feel that way. she just is a genuinely happy helpful girl who will help someone in trouble. She seems to make friends with the underdogs but doesn't even notice that they are underdogs. its like she doesn't realize how bad humans can be, but she is only an elementary school student.
Enjoyment: 9
Overall: 8 would give a higher score, but after finishing it felt like if I got past the unusual layout or something then the base story was.. idk, I couldn't tell if I liked it so much because it was that good or if it was just the perfect anime to watch after getting bored of the usual anime. I think I was just in the right mood for it. but it is still pretty good.

I liked it. It's basically your average mid-season hot springs episode. lots of loli and ecchi with some heartwarming friendly stuff and basic plot. It kinda just uses the same material from the second season but it was good material that you can watch again.
Art Note: Art is great and the water blew my freaking mind.
Yuri Note: Kuro's mana replenishing gets a bit more... intense.
