Both main characters are the next heir of their kingdom. They both go through tragedies involving their family and as a result have to flee their own kingdom. They both run into many setbacks and have come to realize that not everything is as it seems outside of their own sheltered world inside their castles. They both try to overcome their weaknesses and become stronger to take back what's rightfully theirs: their kingdom and place at the throne.

The main female characters are a lot alike. Their aggressiveness and motivation. They're funny too.

If you liked Ouran Koukou Host Club add

...then you might like Hanazakari no Kimitachi e add

In both series, the main feamale character cross dress as a boy and go about without anyone knowing. In Ouran, she didn't intend to look like a boy until she is forced to, due to a debt she owes. In Hana-Kimi, she purposely cross dresses to enter an all boys school, just to see her idol and pursuade him to re-start his dream. They are both HILARIOUS and has romance. I remember laughing all the time in those series. Both my favorites. When you finish reading them, you will feel such loss, but glad that the series is filled with funny, romantic, and fun parts. I REALLY enjoyed reading them. HIGHLY recommend them.
