This show is incredible! I couldn't help comparing it with Douluo Dalu as I first found out about this show from the promo at the end of one of Douluo Dalu's episodes. The way the stories are presented are both similar. It's a cultivation story set in a dystopian sci-fi setting, not something I thought I would like initially, but I love it!

I said before that season 3 was the best so far but now it's definately season 4! The story is so much more well developed and the plot is a lot more focused. I was glued to the screen for the whole thing. The art and music are beautiful as before.
Xiao Yan has gone through a big character change and season 4, while alluding to the 3 year agreement a lot, is mostly about Xiao Yan making up for his mistake at the end of season 3. There is a lot more focus on the alchemy side of things too and one of the ...

Season 3 has been the best season yet by far. There were some very dramatic moments which I loved and the relationship between Xiao Yan and Yao Lao was closer than ever! We got to meet Xiao Yan's brothers (Xiao Ding (elder) and Xiao Li (middle)) which I'd been looking forward to for some time and the snake colony was incredible. The art and design of the characters is colourful and very appealing, though I think the female characters were slightly over-sexualised, and while it was noticeable it wasn't off-putting or distracting. The battles and displays of magic are mesmerising!
