So good, the quiet intelligent 2nd ML is such a good romance. It was good enough I went and read the novel!

The FL has so much fun picking on the original protagonists and I love to see it, the fights of nobility are so entertaining and the KARMA! I do think she could ease up on the protagonists and maybe stop flame throwing their lives but that's part of her character growth I suppose.

The original protagonists are written well, I can see them as fairy tale heroes whose greatest strengths are also terrible flaws in certain settings. It makes the comeuppance deserved and realistic. ...

She's a bit too flighty and I wanna see more passionate romance but hold strong! The novel is spicy goodness

The name is a small misnomer in that the event in question had a much lower emotional impact than implied by it being the name of the story.

Breaking down the tropes, the story has a standard plot of: FL defends child ML from abusive family, child gains power and wants romance while FL sees ML as child still, but slowly she starts to see him as a man! Ooooooo

The abuse is short and not gratuitous which I liked, the comeuppance is satisfying. Most of the story is magic training and pining for the FL and exposition/story. I personally enjoy training sequences and magic system ... learning stuff so this was fine by me~

Usually stories of this genre have an age difference and give me the ick, that is not the case here! Unfortunately the ML becomes very selfish and defensive of the FL, it makes some sense with his personality and how she's the only person he has on his side but it's unattractive. I prefer when the ML leans towards being extra kind to those his partner cares about.

There is some danger when the original FL appears the story will get insufferable with the FL assuming the future she saw will overwrite the current, very different, reality. Leading to her rejecting the ML a bunch for a stupid reason. It's still early though and it could also do something much more interesting!

This is a story from the perspective of an extra watching a family healing story and finding it suuuuper cringe. Tbh, I completely agree, I've liked a few family healing stories and ngl they are often super unrealistic and cringe and the family does way too much to hurt people who don't worship the MC. So this story has a great set up to say the least

I think it helps to know where the scenario comes from so this is best to read if you've read a few family healing stories before.

The ML isn't yandere and the FL is great thus far, I look ... forward to seeing this story progress!

The courtroom drama is not true to any court in our world but I'm sure in the world of the story they understood the importance of drama in a court setting and built around that and I respect it. I appreciate access to drama like this writer-san

The art is good enough! The romance is in it's early days but the ML is likeable

Basically Omniscient reader but with less historical references and a cute FL with magic in a manga nobility setting..... of course Omniscient reader is very different so don't let this affect your expectations too much lol

I'd recommend this if you like the setting of manga nobility with fantasy combat and strategizing sequences

So this story takes place in a novel that is similar to the 'novel' in Omniscient Reader. If you haven't read it it's a novel about a ML who fights gods and resets when he dies and gets better over thousands of incarnations until he finally wins.

The FL uses her knowledge to strategize ... so she can save the world without the ML (as mentioned in the synopsis, he fails after all). The ML who is obviously OP reacts strongly to her influence and that's the general story.

The romance - slow burn, no UST. The ML is not yet ML material tbh, he's having a growth story where he learns to be kind but his lack of empathy isn't attractive atm. Good news - the FL points this out and cares about it, so hopefully this won't go down the toxic yandere route.

The power system is really neat and I would love to make a dnd class based on land control, that sounds super fun. The FL strategizes and has a lot of knowledge in her hands which is always fun to see as well.

A romance through and through, this is about a girl having free will to improve her life after a diagnosis. She leaves her terrible life to go somewhere else and is healed emotionally and (let's just predict) physically by the ML.

Aside from having looks and power this ML has some great lines, I don't usually expect MLs to share actual wisdom but he said some great stuff.

I have mixed feelings seeing any story where the MC cuts their family out of their lives for good. It's definitely the right move in most of these stories but sometimes I would want to give them ... a second chance. I would argue burning every bridge with every family member isn't the right call in this case.

The story feels a bit like a fantasy about running from home and everyone regretting hurting her, everyone new fawns over her and admires her strength and cries about her illness and what she's going through and calls her so strong etc. This isn't a bad thing, I'm enjoying it and will keep reading but it does always feel a bit like someone's fantasy.

This is a gals supporting gals story FIRST and foremost!

The relationships are so healthy it's healing and the conflict/high society bullying is ok because the FL is too cool for school.

I also like that in a relationship that's very intense and devoted there is no yandere! We love to see someone happy that their loved one has more friends. (shout out to MLs who need to hear this!)

The romance is testing me, I don't enjoy seeing repeated rejections, the story is still young though and we haven't even met some of the most important characters.

I'll check back when the romance is romancing lol

This is a do-over story, I always love these because the FL gets to do dramatic things and become super powerful in society because of her future knowledge. This lines up just right and I like her relationship progress with her family.

Now, the name is apt because there's no romance yet!! I am super curious who the ML will be because this story has 3 candidates! Usually whoever shows up first is the ML but I'm betting on #2 for screentime reasons. I actually wouldn't mind any candidate in this story because none of the men are toxic, they're all hot and powerful (the ... main traits of a ML).

The story is still in it's early days but it's looking good :)
