Coming into this series I only ever heard about the opening and I would look up Kaneshi on youtube and there it would be, but I always heard the actual show was disappointing which actually peeked my interest and made me want to know what made some people dislike this show or feel it was average.
When it comes to the characters themselves they weren't bad, but they weren't very memorable in my opinion either. The main character Yukari is a very shy boy who just wants to be in love with a girl he's liked since fifth grade however because of the government laws
...
to increase birthrates he ends up being assigned to get married to a different girl. The overall premise was interesting and I was curious to see who he would up with in the end. Sadly the series doesn't outright show or tell you exactly who he ends up with and I probably shouldn't say more so I won't spoil anything.
Even though this series is classified as a drama, romance, school anime its also a harem, but not a generic one. One of the third characters that likes him doesn't get as much screen time as I wanted them too. I won't spoil who the third person is, but I honestly shipped them more than the two main girls in this series.
Misaki's character was endearing, but I wish there was more to her character than just her liking Yukari and wanted him to happy. I felt the series focused too much on forcing relationships and kissing than it did on developing the characters one on one and giving them more reasons to like each other. Then there's Ririna who comes across as a bit of a tsundere at first until her feelings and emotions start to open up more. They also threw in random awkward fanservice between her and Yukari for some reason towards the beginning of the series. Then they make Misaki and Ririna like each other a lot right off the bat as friends. A part of me was like "JUST HAVE A THREESOME OR SOMETHING." (It did hint to that towards the end) ;)
The big eye character designs might be off putting to some people which is understandable. Stuff like doesn't really bother me though. I actually like the art, but I've definitely seen much better and all I really remember from the soundtrack is the opening and ending songs and to be honest they were both good.
The drama aspect might feel forced although I found enjoyment out of it at times. Despite some of the shows draw backs this series was actually a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

I watch this series on Amazon Prime. At the time of this review I don't know of any dubs except the original Japanese with subtitles. I don't feel this show is a must watch, but I feel some people would find enjoyment from seeing what the characters decide to do in their given situation.
Also Nisaka is best boi
Bye bye :)

I went into this anime only hearing about it being a cute short series from 2018 that's worth watching and that despite the controversial premise the overall show was surprisingly good.
And to be honest that pretty much sums up how I felt watching this show, but I feel like a lot of people forgot to mention how beautiful the soundtrack is for this anime. The animation is gorgeous too including many of the backgrounds. Both the art and music were the main strengths of this show for me and I feel most people should give this anime a chance just for that alone.
...
The main female character Akira is usually cold and reserved to most of the other characters although her friendly side comes out more around certain characters like a few of her friends. The story mainly centers around Akira and the crush she has for her manager at work, Kondou. Many people might be put off that Akira is only 17 and Kondou is 45 years old however this series never went too far in my opinion and kept their relationship PG. I don't wanna spoil anything about it so I suggest watching it for yourself.
Other than Akira's feelings towards Kondou this series also goes into both of their personal struggles, dreams, and aspirations. A part of me wished this series was longer so more development for them and other side characters Akira went to school with or the coworkers at the restaurant were touched upon more. A part of me hopes this series gets a second season that's better than the last. Sadly though the first season is very underrated in my opinion compared to many other anime that were hyped up in 2018.
Kondou's character was actually a bit contrast to Akira's although there are some understandable reasons why she fell for him. One being how he tries to make everyone around him happy and comfortable. That all he wants is too be a good manager and be liked by the people around him. I think this was one of the traits about him that stood out to her. He's always kind and caring towards everyone and tries his best to handle things maturely, but in a comedic manor at times. I was actually really interested in seeing how their relationship would end. I will admit the series does end on a bit of a cliffhanger depending on how you look at. It was also somewhat satisfying too though.
Story: 7/10
Art: 9/10
Sound: 9/10
Characters: 7/10
Enjoyment: 8/10
Overall: 8/10
I feel that an overall score of 7/10 is good enough for this series however I feel like I wanna give this show an 8/10 mainly because it was something I personally enjoyed more than I expected. I also like to give extra points for a soundtrack that gives me chills and makes me wanna listen to it in my free time or while studying.
You can watch this anime legally on Amazon Prime which was where I watched it. At the time of this review there is only a subbed version that I know of or at least that's the version I watched.
Bye bye :)

Angel Beats! takes place in a high school in the afterlife where young teenagers go after they've died before it was their time or they had a death they didn't deserve.
Story: 7/10 The concept and plot was interesting and a unique one, but the series does have a lot of flaws and the biggest flaw is the fact there are only 13 episodes unless you include the 2 special episodes that are mostly just there for the comedy. The series should have been at least 24 episodes to better develop their wide cast of characters. Not many characters get their backgrounds explored and that's just
...
tragic. And speaking of tragic, the series does have it moments such as exploring certain backgrounds of the characters. The series though is mostly about the SSS brigade and their plan to figure out a way to speak with God and not have to pass over to where they are reborn again. The fighting rebellious resistance is led by Yuri who finds Otonashi who woke up there with no memories until later in the series when he remembers everything. They basically try killing this girl nicknamed Angel. That's the gist of the story, but it feels way too rushed, which is sad because I could have given the story a 8 or 9, but the reason why I still give it a 7 is because of how unique and good the plot or idea was and the first episode was done very well. The romance doesn't really happen until near the end of the series and I wish there was way more of it, but there's plenty of great comedy.
Art: 9/10 The art is gorgeous in this anime, especially during the concert scenes. The animation is constant and fluid even during the fight scenes. The character designs were great and the colors where bright and colorful in a shiny kind of way.
Sound: 10/10 Now one of my favorite soundtracks in anime is from Angel Beats! The ending song called Brave Song is one of my favorite ending songs of all time and seeing all the character appear and disappear with this song playing truly captures what the series is trying to do, which is pull at your heart strings. You might even find yourself crying more from the songs then whats actually going on. The ending song on episode 10 called My Most Precious Treasure is my favorite song in the whole series and it even captures the relationship that deserved more development between Hinata and Yui. The opening is also great called My Soul Your Beats, even the guitar version done by Yui is great. The SSS theme song is also amazing and another popular favorite is Iwasawa's Song. I prefer subbed, but the dubbed is pretty good for this one.
Characters: 7/10 All the characters seemed interesting, but sadly their development is thrown out the window, which is why this wasn't given a much higher score that I wanted to give it. The most interesting characters were Iwasawa, Yui, Hinata, Yuri, Otonashi, Kanade, and T.K. Then there's the guy with the green hair who had some interesting stuff about him, but there's not much I have to about him except he makes one bloody episode. You learn limited stuff about their pasts and they deserve so much more. By the way...T.K is just that guy everybody likes cause he says the funniest things and speaks english in the subbed version. Kanade is the most interesting character who deserved more of a backstory then any of the other characters and is also considered the queen of kuudere's. I love her personality though and I do love Yui and Hinata as a couple, but it needed more to it like Otonashi and Kanade did. Sadly the series is a original so I have no idea where to tell you to go to get more depth for these characters. The backgrounds of the characters can be relatable to people and are heartwrenching so I'll give it them that much and the ending song did bring out the saddness the anime wanted to give for these characters. I just wish they did more with what they had and truly could have with this much potential, but I did like what we got with it. Otonashi did get some good development though and Yui did make me cry, especially when Hinata came and their song started playing. The ending with Otanashi and Kanade was sad, but still needed more and watch after the credits for some closure and to know what happened to them and it will also give you good ideas for fanfiction and continuing the story on your own like I did in my head :)
Enjoyment: 6 out of....no I'll give it a 7/10 because even though the story is too rushed and the characters don't get the development they deserved I still found enjoyment out of the good comedy, beautiful soundtrack, and gorgeous art style. The characters also had great personalties.
Overall: 7.5/10 I think that you should at least give it a shot and see how you feel about the series and please check out the songs at least. Just listening to them will make you heart cry and the comedy is worth it and you'll also see if you agree with all the hype this series gets. I hope you enjoy it. :D

Now these are just specials, but they make you want to go back and watch the main series again.
You see all the characters again. Break, Gilbert, Oz, Alice, etc.
Each special made me laugh and have a nostalgic feeling to go back and see the series again.
If you love the main series then I would definitely advice watching them. Since the series also lacks a season 2 a lot of fans craved to see more and this doesn't completely, but fills in some of that craving. There's always the manga if your interested enough to see what happens next.
Other than that you should have a

fun time with, especially if you enjoyed the main series

Well since I'll be the first person reviewing this and there are only like two chapters out I might as well. Also there may be spoilers that just happen in the beginning.
The story is basically your average clique where a small girl is a tsudere and the guy kisses her on the first chapter. It's mostly a romance, comedy, supernatural anime since the tsudere is actually a cat.
The art is good and there are some really detailed drawings of the characters, but nothing over the top amazing.
I ended up enjoying the manga by chapter two when the main male protagonist goes to his grandfathers house
...
and a new character is introduced at the very end. It did make me want to know what happens next and I have high hopes for this.
I could see the characters becoming more interesting as the story progresses. I'll probably do another review when it's finished but overall I though it was pretty good and worth a shot. Just remember it gets better once you move on to chapter 2.

I always felt this movie was so underrated because of the series. I think the main reason why is because the movie is basically a summary of the entire series, but the movie is so well paced and doesn't feel rushed at all unlike most other anime summary movies. The ending is even more realistic. Well let's get this review going!
Story: Like the series this movie revolves around a high school boy named Tomoya who meets this young girl named Nagisa at a hill on the way to school underneath cherry blossom trees. He decides to talk to her and from then on their relationship
...
blossoms. The romance is sweet and focuses more on the dreams that Nagisa had for acting and how Tomoya grew to realize his feelings for her in a heartwarming way. It's something that I myself could relate too. There are many feels in this so beware of crying unless you've seen the series although since it's more real to life so you might want to get a tissue box.
Animation: The art is good, but not as good as the series. It has the same character designs, but the lighting and beauty of it is more outdated compared to the main series. It's not terrible or even bad. It's mostly just good.
Sound: The music was beautiful like in the series. The voice acting was quite good too and if you enjoy dubs then this one is pretty good, not the greatest dub ever, but I still think it's good. The music is what I really enjoyed about it though. It truly matched the mood of the story so well.
Characters: Tomoya is the main male protagonist. The main girl protaginist is Nagisa as earlier mentioned. Tomoya has a sad past that causes him to act like a delinquent although he's truly a kind and caring person who helps Nagisa to accomplish her dreams of performing on stage. Nagisa however is a very sweet girl who can be shy and sometimes she even says the name of one of her favorite foods out loud to herself so that way she'll work up the courage to do something like go to the drama club She loves to sing that cute and adorable song, Dango, Dango, Dango, Dango, Dango.
There's also Sonohara who is Tomoya's best friend and is mostly there for comedic relief.
Then eventually you get to see Ushio. She's so adorable. All she says is "Daddy," but she's the cutest. By the time you her you'll literally cry from your heart.
Enjoyment: I honestly loved this movie and yes I saw it before the series. I'm still deciding which I like better. The series or movie. No matter what I think this movie was how a summary anime movie should be made... Just so well paced and beautiful on every level for me. I enjoyed this because of how much the characters made me love them. Nagisa and Tomoya are still my favorite couple to this day and the movie is no exception. I also loved the true to life ending and it made me cry out from my heart ans soul. I just love this masterpiece without a doubt.
Overall: If you love romance drama anime then it's worth the watch if you don't feel like watching the entire series and it might get you interested in the main series like it did for me. I hope you check out this awesome anime movie! At least do it to see Ushio or hear the adorable Dango song. Tomoya is my personal favorite though Nagisa and Tomoya are like ying and yang.
Ending quote: "But the one thing I will never forget is that smiling face."
*Bursts in tears*
