If you are looking for a show to binge watch, enjoy and love OP characters who hide there powers then look no further Quanzhi Fashi is the show. One day Mo Fan wakes up and realizes that his world has changed not only has society changed, but there have been advances in science and of course the ability to use magic. The story follows Mo Fan whose family is looked down upon as being weak and commoners but in reality Mo Fan is not weak.

Mo Fan wishes to become a great magician and the story of Quanzhi Fashi follows his high school journey of not ... being a weakling but someone striving for greatness and respect. In his new world magic has been split up into "elements" including wind, fire, water, earth, ice and the strongest of all lightning. Mo Fan not only awakens one element but Two, which he decides to keep secret from everyone else. The world of Quanzhi Fashi also focuses on a "Guild" set up where people can under go tasks/ take missions to hunt monsters and make money. Quanzhi Fashi is a world of science, magic and of course magical beasts.

On another unrelated note, the animation is beautifully composed with a great sound track and appropriate use of music during scenes.There is no real character developing/ building outside Mo Fan but this does not really affect the show or its position. You only have to get over the fact that it is in Chinese and not Japanese, which should not be to hard as the show should captivate you.

The second Season should also be airing around October 2017.

Fune wo amu literally translates to "the great passage" and is based on a best selling Novel. The Novel written by Shion Miura got a film adaption in 2013 and was a spectacle to behold. The film has won many awards including Japans picture of the year. The story follows Mitsuya Majime who comes from Tokyo and is an unsuccessful salesman in a publishing company (timid and shy person). Majime meets two editors the first being Masashi Nishioka who is a dictionary editor and after an incident teaches Majime a basic sales rule. Nishioka is shocked at the way Majime composes himself giving out direct ... definitions of how he would stipulate words are. The second editor Majime meets is Kouhei Araki who is seeking a replacement for himself as his wife is ill. Araki is trying to find someone who is learned and has a passion for words in order for them to complete a new dictionary, the "Daitokai" (The Great Passage). Majime then becomes apart of the team to compose this new dictionary at work. Back at home Majime meets Kaguya Hayashi who is a relative of the land lady he's renting the place off. Majime is captivated by her beauty only to be challenged by chief editor Matsumoto to define the word "love." Follow the unique story of a man who literally sees "words" while also seeing a relationship bloom between himself and Kaguya.

After watching the film a year or so back I can safely say that if the anime follows the book and film and was a beautiful piece to watch. This show has its own original concepts and may appeal to only a few. I don't recommend it to newcomers.

Kanie Seiya (Originating from Kayne West) is a High school boy who is "in love" but the person he loves is himself. When Isuzu Sento a transfer student invites Seiya to an amusement park named Amagi Brilliant Park, he's reluctant. She "convinces" him by pointing a gun at him... so he agrees. Seiya and Sento go on there "date" at the park which is a run down, shabby looking joint. The only area looked after is the castle which captivates Seiya. Seiya investigates and meets Latifah Fleuranza, the princess of Maple Land who kisses him and bestows upon an ability to hear what people are ... thinking with a limit of only being able to hear each persons thoughts once (not explored much after 2nd episode). Anyway Seiya learns that all the people working in the park are magical beings from Maple Land and that they require large amounts of people to come to the park in order to sustain there time on Earth, which is where Kanie comes in. Kanie becomes the Parks manager whose job is to bring in customers and reach a certain goal by the end of the year. Amagi Brilliant Park explores the magic of ones imagination with many challenges presented overcome by comedic sections and determination.

The musical score is very appropriate especially the opening 'Extra magic hour' which has a perfect rendition on the Piano (see Animenz Piano Sheets). The story is unique with the animation art being beautiful. From someone who hasn't read the light novels or manga adaptations I found this series really enjoyable. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

First off, I didn't know what to expect from Detroit metal city (DMC) but gave it a chance and am glad I did. the story is about Negishi, moving to the city of Tokyo to become a popular musician who also loves Swedish pop and green tea but due to some circumstances becomes the fronting man of a death metal band, as Krauser II. Negishi actually despises death metal and his band DMC even more wanting to constantly quit but cant due to other sub components. Negishi is often misunderstood and in this situation it works out hilariously. His manager is a vulgar character often ... swearing in English followed by saying shes "wet" and yes i do mean in the sexual way. You may not be a fan of the art style but everyone has there own preferences. For the time allocated on these OVA's there isn't much character building but it shows that each individual possesses a unique personality. It's only a shame that there was 12 OVA's running for 13 mins but I wouldnt have it any other way.

If you are looking for something new to binge watch then give DMC a try you may just like it. Btw the music is well composed, appropriate for an anime about "music".

BAKUMAN!!!!!

The three series of Bakuman are a must watch. First off i will give a small synopsis and then go into how important this show really means too the anime/ manga community. Bakuman is a story of two school boys who both have dreams to have a successful manga to be serialized in Jack.So both come together to form a team with Moritaka Mashiro being the artist and Akito Takagi being the author. The two also have there own goals with the main one being an anime adaptation of there manga so Moritaka can Mary his love interest Azuki who wants to be a ... popular voice actor. The story follows Mashiro's and Akito struggles and successes right from them being in middle school until they are adults. With comedy, romance and a feel good story, Bakuman will be all that you can watch. I highly rate this show especially to Veteran anime watchers.

The reason why I highly regard Bakuman is that it gives an in depth look at how difficult the lives of manga authors and artists are. I think Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata who wrote and illustrated Bakuman provide an in depth look behind the difficulties of Manga artists/authors, demonstrating how its not a job but a love or obsession. To be honest the manga and anime are both superb to create feelings for the character and actually want to cheer you on. With new characters and rivals being introduced this will always be a unique and sensational anime.

The Anime in essence is some what of a classic. The story provided is A class, it's some what of an original where theirs love, tragedy, betrayal and war. The story may not grip you from the start but give it till the end of episode one or beginning of episode 2 and you will see why its such an effective anime. The story is well composed with the sound and art complimenting the anime. Each character is well developed, not being rushed, making you actually feel for them. The anime closely follows the Manga and provides a griping story that anyone should enjoy. As ... an avid anime watcher I highly recommend this show. You will not regret it and most likely binge watch it.

Ok so first of all, DO NOT WATCH the Subbed version of this anime series. Now its very rare that a DUBBED anime is better than the Subbed but in this case watch the Dub. The company that obtained the rights to 'Dub' this series essentially allowed the cast to say/ write whatever they wanted. If you enjoyed abridged series such as Team Four Star ect. then you will love the dub for this series as it essence it becomes a comedy dub. Apart from the actual dub aspect I personally wouldn't even bother watching the show. I mean the anime is older from the ... early 2000 and the story isn't gripping, i mean the audio is good and the characters i mean are at least some what explored.
