(Read If You Finished or Don't Mind *Minor* Spoilers) -- (Also, this was written while I listened to music, so it might be all over the place.)
I tend to write reviews for stories that I absolutely love, or passionately despise. This story, however, is different than any other review. This anime had nothing but wasted potential. The characters were interesting, the story and plot was captivating enough to keep me drawn to it, and the art was fantastic.
This story was good, I enjoyed Momo and Fine characters, although they both had their fair-share of annoying or what (?) moments. My favorite character in
...
this story, was between Fubo (uncle) and Elisha. Before anyone says anything, I couldn't remember a single characters name outside of Momo and Fine's... that's rare for me.
The problem with this story isn't the characters, it isn't soundtrack or animation, or plot. The biggest problem was the pacing. They offered interesting backstories, Fubo wedding, Fine past, and how Nobara became the way that she is. But this story didn't answer any of them, not one. It was irritating, they continued to give EXTREMLY vague insight on their past, and not focusing on these characters backstories wouldn't be an issue... if they weren't so fixated on showing us it. But out of everything, what irritated me that most was how they treated these characters. ---- SPOILER INCOMING ---
***SPOILER INCOMING --- Allegro was an amazing design and character.. and if I hadn't looked him up, I could not have told you what his name was, nor the purpose of his character. He was there as Fine's right hand man, he was the one next to her, giving her advice, and staying loyal to her. (SPOILER) --- He peaked in the VERY first episode where he attempted a raid... where his character was shown for like 3 minutes completely. Allegro was designed so amazingly, everything about him was intriguing to me. But outside of episode 1, he only appeared (briefly) as an angered character with no justification as to why he's so angry. We saw a GLIMPSE to why Fine was so obsessed, but outside of that... nothing. I loved the relationship between Allegro and Fine, it was loyalty at it's finest. But man was he severely underused. I just wish we got more answers, yes it left us thriving for more, but not in the form of a new series, but in the form of a reboot.

This is a... early review to a promising manga. First I want to say, the premise is interesting and the characters are enjoyable. But I had a problem with this story, and it was a major problem... This isn't an accurate portrayal of Introverts and Extroverts. This manga only has 6 chapters, and I'm sure that it's going to pick up.
But my issue is... I hate this mindset of believing that introverted people are awkward, rude, socially inept, or doesn't know how or cannot make friends. I hate this notion that introverted people are depressed, which I have been seeing on social media. And
...
I am sick of people pretending that extroverted are always outgoing or don't want to be alone. 70% of people at this point don't understand the difference between Introverts and Extroverts and this manga only makes it worse.
I am introverted. I won't lie or pretend that I'm not. I am also lazy, my family, friends, and "superiors" have all said this to me. But, that doesn't mean that I can't make friends or it's impossible for me or my sister to speak to other people when it's necessary. I have social anxiety and from this manga, our main female, Shigure-San does too. The difference being, that I was able to actually make friends. I want to put this out there, just because someone's introverted doesn't mean that someone is unable to have fun or go to parties. This is something I think that did somewhat well, with our male lead, Yoshida has a few examples of doing this.
But then that brings me back to the issue. In chapter 2 (MINOR SPOILER) -- The entire classroom were socializing with each other. In the back of the classroom, was only Yoshida and Shigure with a narration next to them, "Introverts are only able to socialize with other's just like them" This, once again, bothered me. Both of my best friends, childhood and my bestfriend I met from school, are both introverted. We got along because we were interested in the same things, they were easy to talk to, and it was nice to have them around at times. In fact, it's crucial to have a extroverted friend or lover, so they can take you out of your bubble from time to time and have fun in a different way. I brought this up, because other introverts is not the only people you can talk to... Extroverted people drain me. Being in a huge crowd drains me. And I literally suffer from a Paranoia Disorder which makes it hard to function outside of doing active things or treatment.
*I do want to add, however, that I did (in a similar way) become friends with this guy in my Junior Year of HS over us bonding over our social anxiety. In a similar way as the story, it was the first or second day of the school year, and we discovered we both had social problems. Some people were scared of him, but he was a pretty cool guy. I liked how the story made me think of that, it was so similar to our situation. Lol*
Allow me to also add this... being quiet or being in your house does not make you a introvert. The same goes for being loud and having a bright personality... that doesn't make you a extrovert. There's a difference between being an introvert and extrovert.
I would also like to mention, there is NOT just two-types of people. There is thing called an Ambivert. You know, the in-between. And lastly on this topic, if you're one of those people that dislike introverted people because they come off rude. Please, just grow up. I never had anyone say this about me, but I have heard people say it about others (all they say about me is that I am boring), just because someone doesn't want to shake your hand, or greet you, or have a conversation with you, someone you don't know that well, does not give any obligation to get ANYTHING from them return. I read a comment like this once, that introverted people comes off as rude and he disliked them because he had a spoiled obligation to have someone he didn't know greet and shake his hand. That's weird. If they don't want to talk to you, greet you, shake your hand, or anything in-between do NOT force them.
My personal enjoyment, with the art, comedy, and goal is something that I enjoyed. Instead of being the usual tropes, they actually plan to do something about it. I like that about this story.
I want to write another review when this story has more stories. It seems promising and the art is amazing.

Disclaimer: If you liked Najimi from Komi Can't Communicate, I would recommend reading this as if it was based off of that. It's similar.
My enjoyment for this manga, and the actual quality of this manga... is completely different. This manga is rated 6 stars and I don't believe that there is a review over (5) stars. It's understandable.
First, the concept of this manga will turn many people off. The idea of basing a your story entirely around a "trap" and giving him/her a male love interest is a major turnoff for many people. There are quite a few people that I know (IRL)
...
that would be disgusted at this manga, or refuse to even try it. If you are one of those people, do not attempt to read this manga. This manga is pretty much "gay" and the comedy is heavy.
Now, as a heterosexual man why is it that I like this manga? To start, there were quite a few men that read this manga and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, they would make "I might be gay" or "If there's a hole, there's a way." jokes in the comments, but I would say that they enjoyed it.
Back when I was still in MS and HS, I would refuse to read anything like this. I had no problem with homosexual, transgender, or traps back in those days, for reading something like this was a big no for me. But manga like "Prunus Girl" opened the doors for this sort of manga, and "Blue Flags" made me realize that manga that featured the same sex could be really good without the abuse aspect.
The comedy is gold. At least to me it is. The story features a lot of... "Hard" jokes. In other words, "boner humor" The title "Amachin is Self-Proclaimed" leaves a lot of us readers confused on if the main character, Amachin is a male or female. I wouldn't mind either, but I would prefer male since it would take away from the story if he was a female. Although I do enjoy calling him a girl more.
Amachin is similar to Najimi from Komi Can't Communicate. They both appear to be girls, sounds similar to a girl, act like girl, and even dress like a girl (somewhat) but is said (by them) to be a boy. This brings up the question for both sides, is Najimi/Amachin male or female? These are question brought in the stories by the characters. And I like that aspect, because there's quite a lot of things you can do with that kind of character.
This does tend to go a bit... overboard with there characters at times. But other then always aiming to give them a distinguishable features, such as making them to short, making them beautiful and extremely weird, or giving them no good qualities as a feature, is a bit overwhelming. But if you look passed that, the characters play off of each other quite well.
I don't know how people got horny (or so they claimed) by reading this. This story doesn't do very many sexual scenes, it isn't trying to stimulate the mind, and a lot of tense or serious moments is immediately resolved with joke. It was just a feel good read for me that had a enjoyable romance to it.
Overall, I would have scored this a 6 if I didn't enjoy. I read because I wanted something lighthearted, and this was pretty lighthearted.

This is a Japanese WebNovel by Togai Aoi. First, I want to mention that this story is the definition of day-by-day. While attraction to someone on day one is normal, this story completely takes that out of the conversation, and focuses on the progression of the characters. This story follows our main characters, Kouhai (Yoneyama Maharu) and Senpai (Iguchi Keita). The main focus here is their daily interactions, with every chapter representing a passing day.
The characters interact with each other every day at the train station. To get to know each other better, they introduced “Question of the Day” where the person asked this
...
one question cannot lie. This is the epitome of growth through interaction to me. If you’re a person that dislikes miscommunication or misunderstandings then this story is for you. They actually talk things out. There are no misunderstandings. There is no unnecessary drama. There is no love triangle or harem. If you wanted a story about interaction or a story where they’re focused on connecting, this is the perfect story.
However, if you are interested in a story with great side characters or other characters all together, this may not be for you. I’m not saying that there are no other characters in this story. You will meet some other characters the more you read. However, these characters are not very important. There is only Iguchi Keita (Senpai), Yoneyama Maharu (Kouhai), Mother (Senpai), and their friends, Idezuka, Ikeuchi, and Masumi who all have little screen time. I did not mind the small screen time that they had, however, if knowing more about them is a must, then you should reconsider reading this. Our main character shares 98 percent of the attention.
This is not to say that our side characters are not beneficial. They showed another side to our side characters, and somewhat helped the plot move forward. They spark interesting questions, and their characters are not bad. Just underused and not a focus in this story. Senpai’s mother may have gotten the most recurring parts in the story for side characters.
The story started at the train station, and ended at the train station. But that does not mean that was the only location known in this story. As time went on, we saw Kouhai and Senpai leave the train more and more. They would go on dates. They would enter cafes often. Meet at school. Go to each other's homes. Meet each other’s friends and family. Their time together is perfect.
We get to see our main characters develop. Kouhai who was pushy and wouldn’t take Senpai’s feelings into consideration. She would become considerate. She took Senpai's feelings into consideration and asked him before she did anything. For Senpai, he was more to himself, he was annoyed by her presence and he would often fall for her teasing one way or another. As time passed, Senpai learned to deal with her. He enjoyed his time around her, and even found ways to turn her teasing back onto her. I watched as they grew into more responsible adults and learned from one another.
*SPOILER SECTION* Do Not Enter Unless You Have Finished or Do Not Care For Spoiler (Spoils The End) — In the final chapters, 97-104, you can see a massive change in Kouhai and Senpai. (Spoiler) This is a spoiler, but I want to mention this anyway. In chapters 94-97, Senpai went through the process of allowing romantic relationships. He promised this afterall. After being successful, on Christmas or Christmas Eve, Senpai and Kouhai boarded a train. On this train, they would confess to each other in the only way it would make sense. 『Today’s question』where they confessed the feelings that they were both aware of. I wanted to mention this, because of how unique I found this. Not only were they actively aware of the feelings that they had for each other. It was genuine and it spoke for their characters. There are not many endings that I love more than this LN.

*This is my first ever review, so if things are over-written or if I accidently gave any spoilers without warning, my bad. I'll try to be careful of course. Also, don't go to the very bottom unless you don't care for spoilers or if you finished!*
Okay, originally I didn't really care as much for this story as I do now. The story is exactly what it says it is and on the surface that was it. I picked this story up about a year ago, and put it on hold. At the time, the story was rated at 7 instead of the ten I'm
...
giving it now.
Where do I begin? The characters are great! After being introduced, each of the (main) characters brought a whole new dimension into the story. Ichikawa Yukko, the ice queen, was meant to serve as the best friend, instead we a more fleshed out character that evolved further than that. Her role gives a refreshing feeling to the story later on and low-key ended up developing a small story of her own that I am 100% interested in reading if it ever comes out. Haruna, the scary-looking guy, is the tough, but kind troupe. For me, this works incredibly.
One reason being that I always enjoyed characters like him, a few characters that comes to mind is Ohta from Tanaka is Always Listless or Nozoki from... Nozoki-Kun. He has the same feminine qualities that Ohta has and the dense, yet lovable personality that Nozoki has. I also want to mention Misaki, the rival. His character is great. The pretty boy who can have any girl he wants. I don't like the rival character and as a man, I can admit that I'm the jealous type. But man is Misaki a terrific character. It's possibly just me, but at times he made me genuinely root for him.
Juri didn't really provide as much, at least not until the end. And she broke the mood several times. But I enjoyed her character, especially her dynamic with (Spoiler) misaki. They got along great. -- Another thing I want to add, is how it hit my feels. The story made me feel like I was in High-School again and most importantly. brought back that feeling of regret and attachment that comes from graduating. And as powerful as a feeling, I enjoy thinking back on it. I think, however, the best part of this story was how real it felt at times. The characters in this story had lives outside of it, I have read many stories, and even the masterpieces won't deliver it at that level. But that's usually because those stories focus on their lives as a whole.
The main characters Kuzumi and Erika are good, but honestly they kind of got overshadowed (To Me) by the rest. They weren't overshadowed in a huge way, as they made a huge impact, and if they, themselves weren't good characters my rating would absolutely go down. But if I were to rate them, it would be a 8 or 8.5/10 versus the "supporting" characters who (For Me) is 10/10. But again, I did like the main characters, but it took me a while to connect with them, about 12 or so chapters.
MASSIVE SPOILERS: Not Giving Anything About The Story, But Still A Spoiler For Someone Who Hasn't Finished!
Kuzumi and Erika wasn't my favorite couple in the story, it was actually (Spoiler)
Haruna and Ichikawa who were just perfect for me. I swear, if they get their own actual series I would LOVE it. Everything about it was amazing. At first I wasn't even sure about it, I thought the story would only focus on Kuzumi and Erika as a couple, and boy am I happy that I was wrong. By far one of my favorite couples, ever. Idek why I like their dynamic so much, I just do.
