This anime is mainly a melodrama with romance. The focus of the anime is romance. But Josee, the main heroine, is nothing but a bitch to the protagonist who physically and verbally abuses him, and she never does anything nice for him. She also never apologizes for being an asshole to him, and yet the protagonist always keeps going back to her even after they fight over her disgusting treatment and dismissal of him.

The protagonist, Tsuneo, keeps doing nice things for Josee while she gives nothing in return, and yet the only thing the anime does to "redeem" her is make everything in her life ... start going wrong as if that will magically make you forget about how throughout the whole movie she pushed the protagonist around, hit him, bit him, insulted his job, and called him a servant 24/7.

Why would I root for their romance when Tsuneo is a good person but Josee treats him like shit?

The greatest part in all of this is that one of Josee's many tantrums and Tsuneo's refusal to LET THIS ANNOYING BITCH GO AND LIVE THE REST OF HER SHITTY MISERABLE LIFE ALONE actually ends up almost ruining his own life lmao.

The writing of this movie is actually so bad that it's laughable. I listed only the worst part of the writing, which is the romance, but I could point out how shitty multiple plot points in the movie were if I weren't trying to keep this spoiler-free. The only good thing about this movie are the soundtrack and the visuals, but on this day and age there are so many movies with great animation so why waste your time on this one?
