Before the review, I would like to type a thank you very much for the time you are taking out of for reading a sleep deprived review.
I can't say I was too interested in the manga, I did skim dialouge that weren't tied with the main story, but I don't fully dislike Shinigami?
I first read the one-shot story manga, it seemed cute. The typical story of MC being forced into helping _____ with their duty. It wasn't until I read the first chapter of this manga, that I realized why I put it on my list to read. The manga has some gruesome images and
...
mature content. But if you have the mind of an adolescent highschooler or is the type of person who can still eat while seeing someone pick their nose, Shinigami isn't that big of a problem. (Note on the example I made, thats how much of an issue I view the mature content in the manga. Expect to see blood, actual wounds inflicted from a weapon/object, censored leg-less person. It's soft stuff for people into thrillers or horrors)
The beginning part was where I was most uninterested at, being three reasons.
- First, the MC. The older brother. When first introduced, I had the impression that he was introvert. He looked really plain in the beginning. He seemed to care for his family, especially his sister. He was novel writer? (Beginning was not that interesting to me like I said), and he was into deep philosophocial books, so it was hinting he was an above average intellectual. But the moment the story begins to revolve around the MC, he becomes the outsmarting the rules "Villian in glasses" (hah, get that reference. No? I'm sorry). During the big moment for the MC in the beginning, the whole action sequence reminded me of:
Opposing side: "Ahaha with this, this duel is over Yugi!"
MC: "Not so fast Kaiba, I activate my trap card!"
(If you understand the reference, you know what I'm leading on to and it will seem quite similar to the scene I'm referring to in the manga)
- Second, the low-key incest feelings of the sister. Not only does she become less of a background character later on, but I'm just not into brother-sister having affections for each other. However, the brother has more of the caring older sibling love than sexual. So its kind of one sided, but like I said, the incest isn't in your face and is bearable to read.
- Lastly, so many "dramatic" twists that I kind of got tired of.
Past the first arc, I slowly started getting into the story. It's not the best, but I rate it like any other anime/manga that have bearable content or just something to pass time.
Before I end my review, I am... not confident enough to place my final saying about this manga. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good. It's on the line of questioning, but I did read this to kill time until the sun rose and yet I didn't drop this manga. So I leave it up to you're decision on reading this manga.
The biggest thing to keep in mind if you plan to read this short series, and this is on the edge of being a *SPOILER AHEAD* , so be warned.
The story is left untold. The auther left it unfinished due to the story being a mystery, I believe and am confident about what I'm typing. The ending is left as a cliffhanger for the reader to figure out the truth behind this case. If you ask me, I don't believe I'm a high intellectual person, but there is not enough evidence and clues that I have seen. If you manage to finish the manga and is interested in solving this case like Conan Edogawa, I bet there are some forums and discussions about this. Or maybe create a new discussion post and talk it out with people who have read the manga and are interested in sharing their thoughts.

I usually don't ride the train of moderately talked animes, but this ride wasn't bad. Being adapated from a 4-koma manga, you really shouldn't expect a detailed story. The characters have a diverse set of personalities, but I felt that the whole "character waitress" had a weak pressence and could have easily been taken out without causing the whole story to change.
After being whittled down from watching and reading a lot of comedy anime/mangas, Blend S has some good laughs. Especially Mafuyu and Miu, both with little screen time yet they still leave a solid impression. Also, unlike other comedy animes I've seen, Blend S
...
finishes with a satisfying ending. It wasn't anything with exaggerated randomness, or something rushed. I guess the fact that this series ended around new years (and I am also a working adult), co-workers reminiscing about the past from the first day they started working, has a nice vibe and left me satisfied enough to give this anime a decent score.
Overall, Blend S is a good anime to fill in your time like any other good comedy animes and I give my stamp of recommendation.

I remember putting this on my watch list because of Yoko Hikasa, glad I found out about this movie. The whole story is good and all, but it could have been better. Maybe if the movie was a bit longer and went in more detail about this sci-fi world, though I'm no movie critic so I can't say exactly what the movie was missing. However I don't regret watching this movie (even though I should have been able to predict the ending). Hal is definetely one of those unique movies that are different than others that reuse the same plot or cliches'.
If all else
...
and if you're a music lover, the ending credit song sang by Yoko Hikasa is sung beautifully.

For those of you who went in watching UQ blindly, it is about as decent as other medicore animes from past years. I wouldn't really recommend it though as it is a rushed adapation, but like I said it's not the best and if you think it's worthy of your time then go for it.
Now for the fans of the Negima! series. It was a horrible journey am I right? I admit there were good nostalgic scenes that made me happy (seeing class 3-A again with all their pactio transformations, oh especially Natsumi with her artifact!), but overall... no words can describe my feelings for
...
this adapation I over-hyped about. But if you are reading this review, I congratulate you and thank you for your service. We should all atleast give a small appreciation for this adapatation for happening, even though we have very high negativity for a poor adapatation.
But hey, if you all think about it, this could just be one of the many different worlds that could have taken place. No? Yeah I know, it's just me being optimistic as possible.

Oh boy, came at this series just to get a feel of an anime that is different. I got exactly what I wanted. I'm not going to go into detail or give the typical review for other viewers to read just to decide if they want to watch this short series or not. I just wanted to express how I felt about Elfen Lied, possibly in a vague or simple description.
I would compare my feelings about Elfen Lied right now with the feelings I had right after I finished Mirai Nikki. The anime punched the fuck out of my heart like Star Platinum. Feels that
...
I can't describe without talking about my heart being hurt.
I'm going to be blunt (I keep typing & deleting stuff which I feel would confuse people who are reading my crazy and weird review) but I got to say watching old animes and especially the ones that came out in the early 2000's never fails to amaze me and hit me in the heart.

I don't know about you guys, but I loved this OVA. This OVA is directed towards the manga readers (who may or already enter despair after the release of Negima's child slowly being butchered). I am pretty confident in my memory of reading UQ (curse this publication of the english translation arriving every month). The memory of Evangeline's first crush did not appear in the manga until sometime later through Touta's point of view. This ova takes place in Evangeline's POV, where she became Diana's disciple and first met Touta. It wasn't long, but it feed me some hope of the series future. That is
...
before I hang myself after they repeat another bullshit "Negima Anime Final".
