TL;DR at bottom
I think there are more shows about Sisters wanting to bang their Brothers (& vice versa), than there are actual instances of such behavior.
Looking at the premise no one will be expecting a great story and characters.
But this anime fails to clear the low bar, it set for itself.
Everything about this anime is horrendous.
...
Animation & Art 1/10:
Looks like a shitty low budget hentai from mid-2000s.
Characters 1/10:
Calling the characters Cardboard will be an insult to such a useful material.
Story 1/10:
Little sister wants to bang his Idiot big Bro. Comedy Gold, Am I right?
Enjoyment 1/10
Although I don't like this genre of anime. But in case of anime like Eromanga Sensei, I can still get a laugh or two while also appreciating the art and some story elements making it somewhat enjoyable.
But this anime is an absolute atrocity.
If they were so short on budget, they should have made one (30-min) episode of a hentai and called it a day.
TL;DR:
**A brother and sister sitting together**
Sister: Onii-chan I love you so much... I wanna have your babies... Give me the D...!
Brother (his face mis-shapen, eyes crossed, his neck twisted in an un-godly manner): Oh, thats the dialogue from the book you are writing...Cool.
**Sister turns her head to reveal her asymmetrical face, her left eye gazes upward while her right eye wanders , her nose just a tiny blot atop her inverted lips**
She says: B...B...BAKA..!

TL;DR at the bottom.
Characters 2/10:
Main Character has red hair and he is "special". He is your everyday high-schooler with nothing that stands out about him. You could replace him with any generic main character from any anime and it won't change a thing.
The main girl "Rikka" comes off as bored, uninterested and fed-up, all the time. She is sighing constantly and has no expressions.
May be she is supposed to reflect the audience response while watching this anime.
Only good thing about her is her character design, which is pretty good.
MC has a generic supportive sidekick. But he is only there to be
...
friend-zoned and not threaten the MC's chances with the girl.
Rest of supporting cast is also pretty ordinary.
Story 2/10:
A giant robot shows up and wrecks the city. MC fights the enemy with his own robot. MC wins. Next day everything resets to normal.
Rinse. Repeat
Sound 6/10
Art 7/10:
It is good. Most of the attention has been given to character of "Rikka" to make her look good. Too bad her personality is as interesting as a wet blanket.
Animation 4/10:
Animation is often choppy. Feels like they are trying to use less frames per second to save money.
Enjoyment 3/10:
If you have watched more than a few good anime, you won't find it particularly enjoyable.
Unless Mecha anime is your guilty pleasure.
Most People who like this anime have 1 reason only. That is the design of character "Rikka". She has become somewhat of a meme for her "THICC THIGHS". (Although I disagree that her thighs could be classified as thicc. But that's besides the point)
It would have been better if the creators made an Ecchi anime or a Hentai. Atleast, that would have distracted from the weak story and bland characters.
EDIT: The main problem with character of Rikka seems to be her Japanese Voice actress. This problem is less pronounced in Eng Dub.
TLDR:
A red-haired guy fights a giant robot while his sidekick friend and a girl with thicc thighs watch him on a screen.
**The girl sighs, puts her finger in her right ear and rotates it back and forth. Her face without any expression**
Then she says in an uninterested tone "This is taking too long"

TL;DR: at bottom ***Minor Spoiler from episode 1 below***
I am not familiar with the source material, my review is solely based on the first 4 episodes.
CHARACTERS: 2/10
The worst part of the show is the main character. He is an empty tin-can, both literally and figuratively.
He is always wearing full body armor which covers his face and body at all times. This might look bad-ass in a character with
less screen-time. But when the main character is wearing armor doing mundane things, like eating though though his metal visor,
it really makes him look retarded.
One might overlook the superficial appearance of MC if he was given
...
something resembling a personality.
He is obsessed with killing goblins because TRAGIC BACKSTORY.
Boo-Fu*king Hoo
His responses are monotone, like a robot.
99% of his responses are
"Is that so?"
" Fine.."
"I See.."
" Where are the goblins?"
These repetitive responses, combined with his appearance really get on your nerves over time. You don't care about him at all.
The Main girl character has turned 15 and she really wants to be an adventurer. That's her motivation & "personality".
Supporting cast is your generic tropes in an adventure anime. Most of them are there to talk about Goblin Slayer, to make up for his cinder block personality.
STORY: 1/10
Story is non existent until now. Just kill goblins thats all.
The biggest flaw here is TONAL INCONSISTENCY
Characters are non-serious, joking and bickering, sometimes, even during dangerous quests, followed by scenes of carnage, immediately followed by same jokes.
Its almost like the things happening aren't real and have no effect on them.
They look like Edgy teens running around in a Adventure game.
ART, ANIMATION & SOUND 6/10.
NOW LETS TALK ABOUT THE INFAMOUS SCENE * SPOILER FROM EPISODE 1*
There is a random girl adventurer that gets raped by goblins. She is immediately cast aside by the end of episode.
Why not make her the main girl? She has a lot more reason to fight goblins and the motivation behind her actions would be self-evident.
And this would have made a dark action packed emotional drama with cathartic violence.
But the show neither had the intellect nor the courage to actually deal with such an issue.
That is why I would say the rape scene was unnecessary, exploitative and only there to seem edgy.
TL;DR:
A Human shaped Tin-can, a stupid girl, an elf, a dwarf and a lizard-man walk into a bar.
All of them talk about how great the Tin-Can is.
Tin-Can says "Where are the goblins?"

TLDR: A really good Romance/Mystery anime with a lot of potential. Definitely a must watch this season.
STORY:
Although I have seen similar stories in anime but so far the execution is pretty good and Far Better than MOST anime. It is a Mystery surrounding "Adolescence Syndrome" where different characters face supernatural phenomena while going through adolescence and how it affects the main couple.
The show has built a lot of intrigue this far.
CHARACTERS:
The 2 mains are compelling. The main guy is an outcast with a mysterious past. He cares about people but can give someone a verbal bitch slap if needed. He is kind
...
but courageous enough to stand up for himself and say what he wants. He is not a wishy-washy pussy like most romance protagonists.
The girl is serious but not stuck-up. Her responses are honest yet measured. She is sometimes blunt but never rude. She is mature enough to admit her mistakes but not dwell on them.
She is neither a Puritanical Prude nor an overtly seductive bimbo.
Most anime often have a difficulty finding a balance between these 2 traits.
They have great chemistry. They tease each other and constantly try to one up one another, while also sharing their secrets with one another.
Their conversations are interesting even when talking about mundane things.
NO fountains of Nosebleeds/accidental boob-grabs or any silliness of that sort.
Everything is talked about openly and there seems to be a genuine connection.
Supporting cast is fine too.
ANIMATION & ART:
It is really good. Kind of looks like "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU".
SOUND:
Good. For some reason the Opening song reminded me of "Your Name" opening song. May be they share similar beats, rhythm and instruments.
Highly recommend this show to Fans of Romance with supernatural/mystery elements.
I have given this an 8/10 because I don't know how the story will be handled in the next episodes.
The score can go up or down depending on that. It definitely has the potential to be one of great ones.

The anime should have been named
"Young Harvey Weinstein: The Manga Artist"
Think of all the possible ways someone can behave inappropriately in a work place, this anime has probably got it
Intentionally Fondling your assistant's boobs. Check
Taking off the assistant's clothes while she is sick and passed out. Check
Repeatedly commenting about your editor's boob size. Check
...
Things like this happen several times in every episode and are presented as "Jokes".
There is only ONE "joke" in this whole anime and the punchline is MC Sexually harassing someone.
Characters are truly terrible.
MC is one of the worst part of the show. If we take out the weird mannerisms and slapstick he could easily be the villain/rapist in a hentai.
The rest of the cast is the collection of a generic cookie cutter harem members.
There is nothing worthwhile in this show. Don't waste your time on it

This spin-off set in an alternate timeline is really bad and uninteresting.
It seems like a shameless cash grab to exploit the popularity of its far superior predecessor.
I have watched only 7 episodes and it may get better later on but I have lost interest in the show by now. Although the original Steins Gate was also really slow to start but this spin-off is just plain boring. Only time we are mildly interested is when it is referencing the previous show.
The biggest flaw of this spin-off is the character of Okabe Rintaru. He was a boisterous, obnoxious mad scientist in the original. But now
...
he is just an empty shell. YES we get he is sad and all. But all his responses to others are
"Well...."
"Aaagh...."
"No...."
"Its nothing"
HE IS LIKE AN MC OF A BADLY WRITTEN HENTAI WHO GETS CUCKED REPEATEDLY
It would have been fine for 1-2 episodes but it really gets on your nerves overtime.
All the great things of the original have been stripped off from this. Only things left are Otaku pandering
-Tuturuuu Girl
-Lolis
-Cat girls
-Traps
-AND LOTS OF DEPRESSION
A better direction for the show could have been to continue the original story of Kurisu and Okabe because that was most interesting aspect of the original according to me. Sure it would have been a departure from the original genre. But could have been great like Clannad: After Story.
As of now its just a disappointment.

This is a preliminary review, watched only 5 episodes.
But I doubt it will get any better.
The worst part of this anime is its characters. The main girl has no personality to speak of. Only thing we know about her is that she is a college student, her eyes get wide every-time she sees the main vampire guy. She is basically a collection of generic responses that you would expect from the least developed girl in a badly written Dating Sim. Even those responses have been muted so much and have no real emotion behind them. I have never seen such a weak-willed character with absolute
...
absence of agency. She is like an empty shell designed to stumble along wherever the plot takes her.
The main vampire is the generic dangerous vampire with a bleeding heart. He has an intense, raging, vampire hard-on for the main girl. His character is just a mish-mash of every conceivable trope that you can find in a "Vampire Love interest". He is an overprotective, aggressive, over-bearing, rapey, creepy, stalker (but we are supposed to consider him mysterious, tortured and kind).
Their relationship being the main focus is atrocious and is one red flag after the other. Their first encounter was somewhat rapey that made the girl "smitten". Then the vampire repeatedly shows up at girl's apartment balcony, watches her in her sleep, follows her on her way home, shows up at her college etc. The girl is completely Ok with this because those vampiric dark-circled eyes make her wet, I guess. All actions or sexual advances, by the vampire, towards the girl are neither resisted nor encouraged by the girl in any way. Her only response is staying still with her eyes widened. This makes the supposed "Romantic" scenes too uncomfortable.
You don't feel invested in characters at all, so whenever the plot kicks in you don't even care anymore.
The art, animation and sound are Ok but barely. The action scenes are lackluster and poorly directed.
This is a bad Twilight rip-off with some Tokyo Ghoul like elements. It did have some potential, though. But extremely poor execution. If main characters and their relationship were better written then it could have been a decent dark romance. But what a waste of opportunity! considering we rarely, if ever, get to see a good anime romance with mature themes.
This anime has no redeeming quality whatsoever. Don't waste your time on it.

Imagine any generic comedy/harem/action anime with the essential beach/maid-cafe/hot springs episode,
remove the rest of the plot-driven episodes and take out the following:
1- Story
2- Character motivation
3- Any conflict
4- Action
5- Any meaningful relationships
What you are left with is Blend S(hit).
...
All the characters are one-note to the point that the show itself defines the characters in 1 word each.
This show is just a series of events full of cliches and blatant pandering to otaku culture. There might be a few funny moments but nothing that hasn't been done better in every other generic anime.
A more accurate description of the show will be
"A 26 year old manager of a Cafe hits-on & makes advances towards his 16 year old naive employee,
gets rejected/misunderstood repeatedly,
Hence Comedy"

I went into watching this movie expecting a masterpiece but I was left kind of underwhelmed at the end. My review will focus more on the flaws of this movie because this movie has been praised many different ways and nothing can be said that hasn't been said before.
Don't get me wrong this movie was really enjoyable. Animation, visuals and soundtrack are amazing and top notch.
Story was good as well.
But there are some issues with the execution of the story. In the beginning there is a problem with story-telling like some events critical to the plot occurring off-screen then being told about in third person
...
the next day. Its always better to show, not tell. Because of this for the first 30-40 minutes, at times, there were some pacing issues where the plot seemed to drag. The plot seemed unfocused at times where important plot points are put aside in favor of side stories. This kind of story-telling would have been fine if it were a 12-episode anime but for a 106 min movie every second counts especially when you are dealing with 2 stories that could have been 2 separate movies.
The main characters' relationship was somewhat under-developed. First there is some body swapping with accompanying comedy and then there is some hint of mutual appreciation and care. Then a montage happens and then we are literally told "they like each other, so root for them". For a movie that relies heavily on romance to drive its plot there needed to be some significant development of romance early on. So it could act as an effective catalyst for the last half of film.
There were also some major tonal shifts at times from standard rom-com to straight up tragedy but this was somewhat necessary to keep the movie enjoyable without being too heavy handed.
Before watching it I was kind of pissed about this movie not being nominated for an Oscar. But after watching it I get why it didn't get nominated.
Overall this movie is really good and enjoyable but don't expect it to be a masterpiece.
