Story: 9/10. Im not usually a fan of idol anime, but this is the exception. Even though I can’t put my finger on why, I like it a lot! The story is distinct and very cute. It stands out from the other few idol anime I’ve seen because there’s more than just “let’s make music!” It shows the details of production, and though I’m sure it’s not 100% accurate to real life, it’s still interesting to see how it works.
Art: 9/10. The art is a fairly typical shojo style, but it has its details that help it stand out as unique. The cgi in some

I’m sorry to say it, but this movie is extremely overrated. People gush on and on about it, when it’s honestly not that good, at least in my eyes. I’ll break it down into categories.
1. Story: 3/10. Not only is the story full of plot holes, but it is confusing and the plot twists are very clearly only there for shock factor. The concept is really interesting, so I’m disappointed it wasn’t carried out as well as it could’ve been 2. Art: 10/10. No one can deny that the animation is gorgeous. The scenery is so beautiful, and nearly every frame is screensaver worthy. I have ... Jun 4, 2022

It's entertaining, but still mid.
Now, I did really like watching this show. It was entertaining in the moment, the characters were distinct enough, and a lot of the jokes were really funny. I rated it only a 7 because it doesn't really have any elements that make it stand out from all the other "good-but-not-great" comedy anime. The animation was very smooth and I did really like the ending song, so I'll give it that. This isn't a show where you have to think super hard or even understand much of what's happening to find it funny, but this element also makes it a little ... Jan 14, 2021

A lot of people have said this is like the worse version of Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name), but I really have to disagree. I enjoyed it much more than Kimi no Na Wa, if I'm being honest.
First, the two main characters actually spend time together. They have fun together. It was fun to watch Hina and Hodoka get to know each other, start their business, and Hina's little brother was really funny too. The art is gorgeous, but that's to be expected. The whole thing with the rain made for some really pretty scenes, and an interesting plot point that I haven't seen much ... Jan 14, 2021

Dr. Stone is low-key the best anime I've ever watched. That's not to say it's perfect, but it's so close that I'm willing to give it the pass. Category 1: Story. 9.5/10, rounded up. The story is unique and compelling in it's own right. The plot is moved forward, not by plot convenience, but by the characters and their smart decisions. Every aspect of the story is well thought out, and the audience isn't left with any questions. Category 2: Art. 10/10. The art style is also very unique and distinct. It's not afraid to look a little ridiculous at times, but it also ... Nov 9, 2020

Angel Beats is a really unique and emotional anime! Not afraid to admit that it made me cry a few times. Definitely recommend it!
What I liked: The art and animation were gorgeous and the story was extremely compelling. The worldbuilding doesn't feel forced at all and the characters are characters that you can root for and relate to. Angel Beats has a unique and interesting premise and a diverse cast that make every little moment feel impactful. What I didn't like: The romance between Otonashi and Kanade felt a little forced, but it didn't diminish my overall enjoyment of the show. There were such a lot ... |
