Both of these one-shots are based on the classic story of Little Red Ridding Hood, but both with romance and very unique spins on the tale. In both, the female leads fall in love with a boy from the opposing side which rises conflict with their own. The male characters are distant at first and stand-offish because of this, but the girls win them over by standing up to their families for them. Love Hunter Akazukin is classic Red Ridinghood falls in love with a wolf, but the twist to this story is that Red Ridinghoods are a organization that hunts wolves. Or people with wolf characteristics that change into beasts during the full moon. The wolf tribe is known widely as thieves and monsters, and thus treated very poorly and hunted. However, that doesn't stop Red Ridinghood Risa from chasing Ren from the wolf tribe. Akazukin to, Koisuru Ookami takes a step in the other direction by having the Red Ridinghoods a clan of magic users and the Wolf clan a prestigious family. With a curse on the Wolf family that if a member ever fell in love with a Red Ridinghood they'll turn into a wolf, the two families have become bitter rivals. This turns into a more Romeo and Juliet kind of story afterwards though.

What drew my attention to Kanojo ga Cafe ni Kayou Wake at first was how similar the situation was to Ouran High School Host Club, in which I've already started reading awhile ago. Both feature the main female protagonist being mistaken as boy who gets roped in to serving people after an unfortunate accident. Although, both manga plays on the ironic situation the main character is in, Great Waiters is more mellow than Host Club which seems mostly comedic. Haruhi (Host Club) is forced to work as an host club member after braking a vase worth 8 million yen. Eisei (Great Waiters) is employed at a cafe as a waiter after falling in love with another waiter that she knocked into spilling drinks. The main characters personalities are slightly different as that Haruhi acts like a boy but looks more feminine and kinda dense about love. However, Eisei strongly resembles a guy though she hardly acts like one most of the time. Soon both girls are found out, but they still play the roles of a male throughout the series. In both manga the female character falls in love with the main male character who likes them regardless of how they look like on the outside. Unlike Host Club, that is a couple volumes longer, Great Waiters is short and sweet but will probably leave you wishing it was longer. A main difference between Host Club and Great Waiters is the main focus of the Great Waiters would change each chapter but the main characters will still be around. It's another reason I like Great Waiters more than Host Club since it's like a new story each chapter to take in.

Made by the same author, they share a similar art style and both mangas jump to different views of other characters instead of the point of view of just one. I mostly make this recommendation because the characters share similar personalities and experiences in a post-apocalyptic setting.

They both have Immortals with mysterious pasts. But, unlike Bolt, Rain constantly shows emotions and is mostly a goof-off through the series.

I would like to recommend 1/3 no Kareshi for Baby It's You because its basically unrequited love between a student and teacher, but in 1/3 no Kareshi the role is switch to the teacher having unrequited love for the student other than vise versa.

They basically have a similar story line, about a girl having a kind of power and fights crime, while along the way she finds love.
