This is a movie about mother's love. A lot of mothers really sacrifice so much for their children without expecting anything from them like Hana. I think Ame is selfish since he left his mother with no explanation. I loved Hana, siblings being very different from each other, and their arguments/fights. Most siblings clash all the time like them. I adored the village folk too and how they helped Hana. The end was rushed. Ame left to live in the mountains, and Yuki started to stay in boarding school. To be fair, this movie is about a mother raising her half-wolf children, so it can ... go on forever. So I kind of understand why it ended the way it did. The peak of this movie is Hanna spending time with her children, so I was kind of sad to see her children separating from her. I guess it's also a part of growing up for the children. Overall, it's a touching and sweet story of a mother's hardships while trying to raise her half-wolf children.

The second season solves the biggest problem of the first season: the pacing. The pacing was just right this time. Also, this time Nene and Kou had more impactful roles. Nene pretending to be asleep while Hanako and Kou were talking was clever. Kou got stronger; also, we saw more sides to his brother. Hanako is, as usual, fabulous. It's just I don't ship him with Nene. I love both as characters. Since they met, Hanako has been crossing her boundaries. Both emotional and physical. I ship Nene with Kou. Kou always supports her and never crosses her boundaries. Hanako locked Nene inside a fictional ... world so that she will live longer. It might seem sweet at first, but he didn't talk with her if she wanted something like that. He just decided on his own even though this is completely about Nene and she should have the final say in things like this. I like flawed and complicated characters. I'm just saying my reasons for not shipping them. The star of this season for me is Mei. She is a wonderful addition to the cast. I loved her character and how her friendship with Nene developed. I just got bored while watching the first episode since it was a recap; the rest is magnificent.

Eizouken is a love letter to animation/anime. Their struggles are realistic, probably because people who make this anime dealt with similar problems. Eizouken may well make you notice things you never did before; at least it did it for me. The main cast is fabulous. I loved all of the girls. My favorite being Kanamori. She's hilarious and a pleasure to watch. Mizusaki and Asakusa are fantastic characters too. Both of them are creative, talented, and characterized well. Talking about creativity, Eizouken is full of creativity and hard work. Eizouken is very detailed; honestly, sometimes the details overwhelmed me. Throughout 12 episodes, our girls made ... 3 animations in total. Girl with a sword, the robot, and the ufo wars. Girl with a sword is my jam. The robot arc bored me since I don't have any interest in robots. Eizouken is hard work and made with love. Still, I think if you don't have any interest in how animation is made behind the scenes, Eizouken might bore you.

Trigger warnings: pedophile and sexual harassment. Kusakabe kissed Sajou by force twice. At least the second time, Sajou rejected his unwanted advances. Also, their teacher tries to kiss Sajou in the teachers room, but Kusakabe saves him. Later, Kusakabe goes to this teacher for advice on how to have male-to-male sex, which is ridiculous. He literally tried to sexually harass your boyfriend, who is also underage for the teacher. Also, the teacher should have been in jail, but no, he doesn’t face any consequences whatsoever. Two male leads are actually cute together, and it's realistic to an extent; you can fall in love with your ... classmate and have communication issues throughout your teenage relationship. If this teacher didn't exist and Kusakabe wasn't pushy with Sajou all the time, this would have been a solid 7 or 8.

I love animes that have depth and make you think, like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood or, in this case, Blue Period. The Blue Period taught me new perspectives about art. I'm a writer. I also draw from time to time. Why do you think art is hard? Yes, technical knowledge is hard, but there is something more. Every artist views art differently; therefore, all artists have different ideas on how to do art and how to make their art interpretation reach other people. Blue Period talks about how their characters view art and shows us how they express their art. I didn't personally relate to any ... character, but still I loved most of the characters; they felt realistic and had depth to their personalities. I loved the art teachers in this series, Ooba and Saeki. My favorite thing about the Blue Period is how they taught us art. If you want to fire up your artist soul, you definitely should watch Blue Period.

The highlights of this movie were the sisters. Akane reminded me of my mother a lot. She never chose herself and sacrificed everything for her sister, still loving her sister the most... their sister bond was the best thing about this anime, plus I really loved both of these characters. I also loved Shinno's character; he is a younger version, that is. Adult Shinno got on my nerves a lot. This anime is painfully realistic; people do change like Shinno in real life. There are people like Akane who sacrifice everything for their loved ones. Some people are trying to discover who they are to ... them and to other people along with which direction they want to take in life, which is what Aioi is going through the entire movie. The pace felt just right. The songs were nice. Also, strong emotions lasting and staying was a wonderful idea. I liked how they tied up everything at the end except one thing. Shinno and Akane got married if you watched the end credits. I want Akane to be happy, but I don't know if adult Shinno would be able to grant her happiness. Still a beautiful movie, I would recommend you give it a shot.

This show is very well-written. The funny parts were hilarious, and the sad scenes were really heartbreaking. I got teary-eyed once. It's a fast-paced, funny, heartwarming anime about family values. It has some flaws. The end episodes and Misaki's arc were rushed; it was probably because they needed to fit all of these in 12 episodes. Miri is not badly written, but she's more like a plot device for Rei and Kazu rather than her own character. Also, at the final episode, we learn that Kazu still visits brothels. This was kind of sensible before he met Miri since he didn't know his parents, and ... then in his adult life, he lost his wife and baby to death. He was feeling empty. If you watched the anime, you do realize Kazu is a very emotional guy. The issue is in the final episode, everything is perfect, and Miri is with them. They are living their best life for once. So, there's no emptiness that Kazu must fill with shallow things now, plus he has a daughter now; he should know better. Still, I didn't get bored once while watching this anime; I highly recommend you watch it.

The best thing about this anime is Yuna and Akari's friendship. Their relationship felt natural and lovely. The romance part of this anime was really rushed since they had a limited amount of time. Actually, I find characters dialogues with each other as fun and cute. Keep in mind though, this anime doesn’t do much of show, don't tell. The anime informs you about what's going on all the time. I guess this movie was aimed at a younger audience? Romantic relationships really felt very rushed since they warmed up to each other way too fast. Also the incest part was unnecessary, it would have ... been better if they tried to show us that Akari and Rio was trying to get used to each other as siblings. Like I said, the pace only felt right for the girls friendship. Also, at the end of the movie, Yuna said she wanted to save Akari this time, but the movie gets past this so that Akari and Kazuomi can have a heart-to-heart with each other. I wished it was a Yuna and Akari scene. Why did they mislead us about this? I like the characters, but more than boys, I ship Yuna and Akari; it makes more sense and it's cute, plus their relationship pace is perfect. This would have been better as a 12 episode anime instead of one movie. If you want to watch something short, simple, and cute, then you can give it a go.

First of all, the second part of this movie was a lot better than the first part. The characters are realistic and have depth. I thought Kaoru was a bit dull, but even he himself accepts that he is boring in the anime. Anzu is an awesome female character. It was a joy to watch her. Their romance felt forced. They felt more like good friends/partners to me. I think it would have been better if this movie did some things differently. At the end, Anzu being a popular mangaka and Kaoru giving up on living with her sister to be with Anzu felt too ... much of a simplification for me. I guess the movie was trying to give us a life lesson, like don't look back and move on? The end felt rushed. Instead of a movie, this would have been better as a 12-episode anime, I think. The songs were nice.

It's interesting and really fun to watch. It has some flaws, though. First of all, this anime is kind of rushed. Kou and Mitsuba's friendship only lasted one episode, but Kou is still hung up on him. Also, Nene's radish leg complex was fun at first, but it dragged on for way too long. Same with her handsome guy complex. I actually like Nene as a character: she is kind, funny, and sweet, but I want to see her develop as a character more. Same with Kou. Kou is the sweetest guy, but he also hasn't gotten his character development yet. Hanako is the ... most intriguing character, and even though he didn't get his full story yet, he shone the most in the anime. Also, we have seen Kou and Nene more than Mitsuba, but Mitsuba has more depth than both of them. Also, I find Nene and Kou's relationship more healthy and sweet than her relationship with Hanako. This anime has a beautiful and distinctive art style. If you want something fun to watch, you can give it a go.
