Bakugo on MHA? Hell nah he crazy as hell
Bakugo on Shikimori-san? Well atleast he's more friendly, but still a no for me.
Hey, Kylinity here, back at it again with the low quality reviews about seasonals. Today, I'm gonna talk about somehow the 2nd most anticipated non-sequel anime of Spring 2022, Shikimori-san. Yeah... yet another waifu bait anime.
Shikimori-san is the perfect romcom example on how it fails to become a romcom. I don't see any good chemistry between the MC and the main girl and feels more of like a pretend-relationship between them. I don't even feel the romance this anime is trying to bring out
...
at all, so this totally feels like a Slice of Life show. I like my SoLs a lot, but a romcom like this that fails to be a romcom doesn't even make it even interesting in the least. Half of the episodes are more of SoL-ish more than romantic, plus the anime doesn't even try to make it atleast interesting for us viewers. What I'm trying to say is that Shikimori-san not only fails at being a romcom anime, but also fails horribly at being a Slice of Life anime.
There really isn't anything to talk about the story, to be honest with you. I told you before, this is more of a SoL than a romcom. Its main focus is the couple between Izumi and Shikimori, but to be fair, it's more of like the daily lives of these group of friends, where we have a rehabilitated Bakugo without any badass powers, a monotonic lemon, an energetic catgirl that isn't really a catgirl just because her name has a Neko on it, a cute and a badass main girl, and a pathetic MC that is always led by misfortune.
Well, Izumi and Shikimori got together during their freshman years during the cultural fest, and the school was doing a Number Couples Game where you'll have to take a picture with the person who has the same number as you. As expected, the two got the same number and as absolutely expected of Izumi, he loses the number due to his seemingly unlucky aura [Too long, didn't explain: they never found it and they asked the president to replace the lost number] and after the game, Izumi finally confesses to Shikimori and for whatever reason, she accepted it and they got in a relationship. It felt more like the author forced Shikimori to accept the confession so this series has some backstory on how they got together, but it's undeniable to me that it's just bad...
The art though is pretty average. I expected a lot more since the studio producing this anime was Doga Kobo and they're one of my favorite studios out there. But it looks like Doga Kobo has lost its best aspect of it, it's animation and art. Well, the studio still does well in SoL anime, but this just felt average compared to the other productions the studio had for us. At times, it felt too colorful too, like very vibrant that it hurts my eyes, so yeah...
I'm surprised I managed to stay serious most of the time, but yeah, don't expect me to explain the characters well.
Izumi [MC] - He feels more of a side character than a main character. He's more of like a stepping stone for Shikimori to hog the entire spotlight and just shaming him for being an unlucky fuck.
Shikimori [Main Girl] - she's cute and cool. Although, she's too jealous at times. I get that, but girl, please don't get so jealous because your friends talk more to Izumi than you.
Bakugo - I know, he has a name, Inuzuka. Yeah yeah, but whatever, I'll just call him Bakugo because he's Bakugo. He's the complete opposite of MHA's Bakugo, where in here, he's actually friendly and a good friend. Although he doesn't seem to develop a lot, which is fine.
Hachimitsu - the monotonic lemon. I swear, she's boring as fuck. She's so monotonic plus she always keep one single face and not showing her emotions to her friends.
Nekozaki - she's energetic as hell. She keeps calling Shikimori "Micchon" but I still don't get how she called her that.
As you can totally see, I didn't enjoy this anime and it technically bored me to hell. Although the OP is a banger, but I don't care about the ED, since it was mid. Thank god I didn't fall asleep on any episodes though.

When Spring season started, every single one of my friends online were talking about one specific anime just because of its OP and how much of a banger it is. I was convinced and went to watch it... and I didn't regret that decision. It was in fact one of the best decisions I've ever made. Step out, Spy X Family and Kaguya-sama, we have the anime of the season right here.
Heya, Kylinity here, reviewing another anime I suppose... this time we're gonna be exploring Paripi Koumei, which came out of nowhere and went from a hidden gem to quite a global sensation [well, not
...
really, just in the anime community, I suppose.]
Paripi Koumei might be one of the most unique anime that I have ever seen in terms of the premise. I mean, no one, and I MEAN no one else can think about a Chinese war tactician from the 2nd-3rd century being reborn in modern Japan after 1800 years to be a tactician to a singer who feels like giving up singing except for the author of this series. Original concepts like this are always a plus to me, only if it was well-executed. I'm glad to say it was well-executed and had fun watching it. I don't know anything about this Three Kingdoms thing but this anime has made me learn about ancient history too, which is very cool. I like learning useful and useless things in anime that I'll never share to anyone but myself... [wait I really just blurted it out loud here... right...?] I believe that this show is one of the best examples of what a music anime should be, and not just lalalala music music tea time and repeat [I'm definitely not talking about K-On, I like it though].
"I wish to be reborn in a peaceful world."
This one wish was what started Paripi Koumei. Although, reborn in Modern Japan [lmao anime logic, everything revolving on Japan] 1800 years later, although Kongming first thought of this modern world as Hell. Well, of course everyone might think we're in the underworld now when we die, so no offense to Kongming. At that time, it was a city-wide Halloween Party and people think Kongming is cosplaying as Kongming. Later on, he meets the "Songstress of Hell" [well that's just Eiko] on our beloved BB Lounge in which her singing shone through Kongming. There were other singers too who sang in the lounge, but only Eiko's singing was the only one that really shined through. Although Eiko feels like she should give up on singing since no one really listens to her songs and such, Kongming had an idea. To become her tactician, and lead her to success and make her dreams come true.
The art though is pretty good and well-animated. It's pretty vibrant too, which fits pretty well with the anime which usually have colorful lights and brings the anime more into life. It's not a thing to worry about because if it wasn't as vibrant, this would be somehow pretty dull.
Now for the characters, I'll go in the same format as my Bisque Doll review, aka going one by one.
Kongming - The MC, CHinese war tactician, a Kongming cosplayer- I-I mean a music tactician, and a rapper. He's one of the main reasons why Paripi Koumei is such a blast to watch episode-by-episode. He's very humorous and a very well made character, thanks to the author's knowledge about the Three Kingdoms. Plus about his stratagems, they are pretty legendary and I like it.
Eiko - The Songstress of Hell- I-I mean the singer striving for success, a possible Waifu of the Season contender. Yeah, she's the best girl of the season for me. Sorry Yor. Also, I'd be in jail if I said Anya was best girl, so she's best daughter. Eiko is very moe. She made me realize that girls wearing oversized clothing are pretty cute [Honestly, I can't believe I just noticed that now]. I believe she's the most developed character in the series. She went from being on the verge of quitting singing and now she's enjoying it a whole lot more now. Her journey is very fun to watch and see how much Eiko has improved with the times, with some thanks to Kongming's help
Kabetaijin - the King of freestyle rap. He's introduced halfway through the show as part of Kongming's strategy to find a rapper to accompany Eiko's journey to be a star. He's also developed too. At first he wanted to quit rapping, but after a rap battle with Kongming, he remembered that rapping is just for fun like the first times and not about winning, and now he's having fun to be a part of Kongming's team and having fun rapping with his friends at times.
Owner - wait, does he have a name? well to be fair, he's just there to manage the BB Lounge and also talk with Kongming about the Three Kingdoms. That's like... it.
Although there are other characters too like Sekitoba and Nanamin, but I'm not gonna go through them, because it's kind of a hassle. Sorry.
CHAN CHAN AH CIKI CIKI BAN BAN- Sorry, a habit of mine. Sound. The most important aspect of this show. A music anime isn't a music anime without music. Don't worry, I won't be like last time where I'll literally just go "wow the VAs fits the characters well and the OP is bad, ED good" so let's start. Alright... The voice actors did well. Their voices match the chara- DIDN'T I JUST SAY I WON'T BE LIKE THAT IN THIS REVIEW??? Agh... now my review is ruined to ashes. Shit. Alright, I gotta move on. THIS ANIME HAS THE OP OF THE YEAR. This OP is the literal reason why so much people watch Koumei. Maybe this was Kongming's stratagem to hook other people to watch this show. At first, I thought the OP wasn't a banger like how my friends are saying, but this OP is the kind where if you listen to it more, the better it will be. I fell in love with it after only 3 episodes and the epic choreography in the OP makes it so much better. The ED too is a banger, just like how it should be. Plus the singing, rapping are really good and on-point, just like how it should be.
Enjoyment. The good quality of the comedy, hype, the amazing music, good art and artstyle, mixed together, I wouldn't believe that this is one of the most enjoyable anime I have ever seen. Just one step into the anime, I know that you will enjoy such an unforgettable journey that you've set foot onto, even though you might just be watching on your chair watching. But I'm so glad that I enjoyed Eiko's journey.
So well yeah, there goes my shitty review about the Anime of the Season. I can see Koumei to be a total classic years from now. This was a remarkable musical journey that I'm proud to be a part of every week. I hope this review might have convinced you on how good this show is. Thanks for reading.

*SOME SPOILERS AHEAD*
During these past few anime seasons, I've noticed one thing; that's there's ALWAYS that one romance anime where it has one goal in mind - to bait weebs with such a "high-quality waifu" that would boost the anime's popularity. I call this the "waifu bait anime." It usually has the main girl characterized as an "amazing waifu" with colored hair and eyes, and of course a good body that would basically generate more simps to her, and of course a dull, basic, lame looking MC who just hit the jackpot because they have the main girl by his sides because *ahem* p l
...
o t.
We've had several "waifu-bait" anime like Nagatoro-san on Spring 2021, Komi-san on Fall 2021, and the upcoming Shikimori-san (and again, Komi-san S2) on Spring 2022. But let's get these anime out of the way, since I'm going to talk about the latest addition to the seasonal waifu-bait anime, My Dress-Up Darling, or simply, Bisque Doll.
Oh boy, this show had a wonderful premise but there's something that is ruining it (definitely *not* because it's produced by CloverWorks, no hate on the studio though. They're pretty well known for ruining some well known anime. *cough Wonder Egg Priority.*) Bisque Doll's main objective here is for you to explore the wonderful world of cosplaying and its people who admires cosplaying some of their favorite characters, which is characterized for them of showing love to the character. Sounds like a nice adventure, right? As I said before, Bisque Doll is ruined by something... also known as these shameless fanservice you see on the episodes. Funnily enough, even after ALL of that fanservice, it's not even labeled as ecchi. Yes, I know it's seinen and is aimed for older men, but just imagine all of those boob shots, jiggle physics, (ToT)c u n n y(ToT), there's even poking nipples, then there's that love hotel bullshit, and the absurd amount of horniness of this show, doesn't that kind of made you think that this show really is ecchi? "But that's how the manga goes, Kylinity." Oh uh... what? Uhhh... Okay then... lemme just... put this away for a second... Anyways, it's safe for me to say that FanserBisque Doll is the ecchiest "non-ecchi" anime I have ever seen in my life. I'm trying my best to take the anime seriously but goddamn, these shameless fanservice and generic and cliche ecchi tropes just hinder my enjoyment to this show so much. You might call me uncultured, but oh well, I can thank you for that.
How did Bisque Doll start? Well let's go from the beginning. You know, our boy Gojo is a hina doll maker, and he's trying to make his hobby a secret so that he won't get called out for being weird again after that one time where he was mocked by his classmates because they think Gojo making hina dolls is very weird. Then first encounter with Marin was literally her flying on the classroom from one side to another and then hit her head on Gojo's desk. First of all, is Marin okay what the fuck. There's no anime character that can just fly off like that unless she was a part of some secret battle shounen manga and got kicked in the stomach real real hard (okay that was brutal). One time, while Gojo was sewing on one of the rooms, Marin found him and she immediately asked for help to make her a costume so that she can cosplay as one of her all time favorite character (aka Shizuku-tan). As time goes on, their cosplaying talks have become a normal routine, and that's basically how Marin and Gojo met together. Overall, decent start and that's basically letting the viewers know what Bisque Doll is about.
Let's talk about Bisque Doll's art. As expected from CloverWorks, it's visually appealing. See, this is the type of stuff CloverWorks is really good at, to produce anime that appeal to the viewer's eye. However though... (ah shit, here we go again.) I have a big problem with fanservice. I've talked to one of my forum threads before, I don't mind fanservice, as long as it doesn't upset me and also to the viewers. This is a bit too much fanservice for a "nOn-eCcHI" anime. I don't need to list them all again, but if this had less horniness and less fanservice, I would accept it.
Now to the characterssss~
Gojo - Our boy, our MC, and one of the 2 good characters in the show... *remembers something* Okay. I take that back. Gojo is the most unbased, cringeworthy loser who doesn't even know the greatness of the almighty genre known as Slice of Life aka the peak genre that surpasses overdramatic melodramas and generic battle shounen- haha I'm just kidding of course. I mean, atleast he finally knows about the greatness of SoL now. And that my boys, is why Gojo is a good character- I'm just kidding. I feel like he's fun to be with, but uh yeah, he's slowly getting corrupted by Marin because of the cosplay talks with horny sources.
Marin - the main girl, the main waifu material of Winter 2022, a contender for Waifu of the Year. She's meh. I think she's a bit boyish judging from how she talks to our boy Gojo , and for enjoying a harem eroge anime. I mean, she's literally the embodiment of h o r n y, but as a female. She's a big dumdum as well, especially that part where she somehow fucking reserved a room for a LOVE HOTEL thinking it was a studio, like how the hell does someone make a mistake like this? She's nuts man... PLUS sometimes her smiles are creepy as hell.
Sajuna - UOOOHHHH (ToT) Our little cunny, the loli high schooler, Marin's idol, Juju-sama. Undoubtedly the best girl of the show, since even our boy Gojo even (ToT)(ToT)(ToT) because of her cunniness (ToT)(ToT)(ToT). And that my friends, I can conclude that Gojo is a lolicon, because he sobbed due to Juju-sama. Okay I'm just kidding, this is turning to a joke review now. Juju-sama is a good brat, since she's a buddy for Marin to like, get better at cosplaying.
Shinju - Ah shit, here we go again, another big booba middle schooler. Middle schoolers shouldn't have this big of a booba, but that's anime character designs for you. She's very mid though, since there's really nothing special to note about her. Although she has a passion on cosplaying too, but never did it since you know, *she's basically the cameraman of Juju-sama's cosplay pictures*
Not gonna lie, Bisque Doll gave me a few laughs, and I thoroughly enjoyed some parts of it. By the way, I never said anything about this show's sound right? Alright alright.... Let me make this very quick. OP is good, but is kinda irritating as you listen to it more since jesus christ, those vocals are very hiiiiiiigh. ED though is way better, since it's chill and cozy. There you go. That's it for sound... ... ... What? What about voice acting? Eeh, I never paid attention to that aspect. I just think "wow they're good" or "wow the voices fit the characters" on literally 99% of all the shows I've watched. That's how unresponsible I am when it comes to the sound aspect. Yeah... this is no longer a quality review, or maybe, it never was a quality review in the first place. Alright back to enjoyment. Yes, it did give me laughs, I'm not gonna lie, but... that doesn't mean it's always enjoyable. Ah shit, I have to bring this up for the 4th time, but whatever. Fanservice ruined my enjoyment. Just imagine, while you're out there casually watching FanserBisque Doll, then suddenly, boom. boob shot. Fanservice made me dislike the anime more and more as I watch more episodes of it.
This show is like a 6/10 right up my alley.
-3 for the pointless fanservice.
+1 for Juju-sama.
Total of 4/10.
If you want to know more about cosplaying, Bisque Doll is, at the same time, for you and not for you. If you can somehow fight off the fanservice (or either if you're a costume designer), then good for you, you might somehow learn things within the cosplay world and would provide you some inspiration. But, on the other hand, if you wanna watch this with *some* seriousness, then... goodluck with the fanservice. It will ruin your enjoyment.

Blue Period is a breath of fresh air since it's one of the most unique anime out there. You know how many like battle anime and isekais we've had this year? Well, a lot. That's why it's like a breath of fresh air.
Well for music anime, we already got Vivy and Takt and stuff. This time, we uncover the arts. It's like going through all components of "MAPEH" aka Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health.
This anime is literally art. No. I'm not kidding since Blue Period focuses itself on "art" as in paintings and sculptures and stuff related to art and NOT the art
...
you think of like "quality animation" and stuff.
Even if you're an artist or not, you'll find yourself indulging on this anime since it's another anime that will let you learn more about specific components of art AND also get yourself entertained with the beauty of the paintings.
Although the only issue I see right now is the pacing. The pacing on this adaptation of Blue Period feels kind of fast. But other than that, I don't see any noticeable flaws since I don't have a very keen eye.
I'm looking forward to this, Seven Arcs. You're holding a quality source here and I hope you guys don't mess this up badly. This anime is recommended to watch and who knows? You might actually be a well-known artist someday after watching this with all those techniques and stuff.

Have you watched The Devil is a Part-Timer and also waiting for Season 2 of it to air? It has really been almost a decade huh... well if you’re impatient for Season 2 of it, then you better check out Jahy-sama, which is a pretty underrated show this season. It's surprising to see its rating pretty low... at 7.18 (as of editing this review at Sept. 15)
In short words, Jahy-sama is literally Part-Timer... but the main character is a loli. It shares the same concept with Part-Timer, aka a powerful being (in this case, Jahy-sama, the second-in-command just behind the Dark Lord) in the dark
...
world (or in this case, the Dark Realm) where they get beaten by a hero in that dark world and then suddenly our characters will be greeted to the wonderful world of Japan or in short term... reverse isekai.
Although Jahy-sama tries to be unique as well. It has these mana crystals where their power is stored. Our main heroine, Jahy, and her associates try to collect all mana crystals that are scattered throughout the entire wor- I mean Japan. Once they do, they slowly restore their power and finally rebuild the Dark Realm.
The art itself is nice. Silver Link has adapted another good anime. Although don’t expect too much from the studio. They’re a pretty above average studio so don’t get your hopes up in this anime.
The OP is really good. It’s perhaps like the 3rd best OP this season, only behind Goddess Dorm and Kobayashi S. Oh and the ED is nice too.
The jokes mostly get me laughing. It also has the same vibe as Part-Timer when it comes to it, but somehow Jahy-sama is stronger in it.
How is this anime so far? Pretty good. If you want to sit back and have some fun, this is another anime for you to watch.

Every season this year, there’s that one single anime on the list which you can’t believe it’s not hentai.
Winter 2021 gave us Mushoku Tensei and Redo- that’s already hentai mate.
Spring 2021 gave us Higehiro
And now, Summer 2021 gave us Mother of the Goddess Dormitory
I’m not gonna lie, this is the first ever ecchi anime that I watch where there are nipples. I haven’t watched DxD or Redo just yet because I am scared that my parents will catch me watching lewd anime shit but I’ve thought, what if I watch it secretly? And that’s what I did.
You can think of Goddess Dormitory as a
...
SoL anime as well since it basically revolves around the life of a 12 year old shota who’s also somehow the mother of the dorm. Well at least he gets paid... right...?
Well yeah he gets paid with horny ass girls of the dorm swinging their boobas around and getting smooshed by their asses.
The OP of this anime is the best I’ve heard this season. It just gets me dancing for whatever reason. I love it.
If you’re horny as hell like me, well you’d definitely enjoy this “anime” because there’s BOOBA and let’s be honest here, who doesn’t love booba? Apart from those, I also think this is hilarious and we also have Taiga 2.0 I guess?
Yeah.

“Kanojo mo Kanojo? Nah, no two-timing for me.” - Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 184
A new summer, a new romcom adaptation. Last year, we had Kanojo, Okarishimasu and let’s just say... it was flamed by many people, but that doesn’t include me. I’m a proud KanoKari fan and I’ll perhaps be a fan till it ends. This year though, we have Kanojo mo Kanojo, or in short, KanoKano. Like KanoKari, you have 4 girls to choose from, but UNLIKE KanoKari, I doubt that you can choose one to be your new top waifu.
This show... I definitely have mixed feelings about this. It is by far
...
one of the most ridiculous and cringy shows that I’ve watched, but those factors itself is why I liked this anime.
I know, I know. This show, claimed by many, is a garbage romcom harem show that isn’t worth watching, but this is the perfect example of an anime that is so bad that it’s actually good. You might be disgusted of my taste on why it’s rated high according to my overall rating of this show in this but you should definitely be disgusted of me rating KanoKari an 11/10 (yes, really.) Anyways, there’s one factor that makes Kanojo mo Kanojo actually good— and that’s the comedy of this show. A few might think “Oh it only has the comedy tag because the anime itself is an entire joke” well you’re wrong.
Let’s start my review...
Story | 2/10
The story is just absolutely ridiculous. The author’s like “oh hey this is our MC Naoya, he has a girlfriend unlike you haha. We’ll make you even more jealous by giving him ANOTHER girl” and our MC, just straight up told his girlfriend, Saki to grant permission to two-time her. Of course, a normal reaction would be angry. But she got persuaded by Naoya and the other girl, Nagisa and accept to two-time her.
Welcome to anime logic, where everything happens.
Art | 5/10
Well the artstyle is pretty okay, and the animation of this anime is a bit clunky at times and becomes bad. Although I like the art a bit... There’s room for improvement though, because this is the same studio that animated Quintuplets Season 1.
Characters | 7/10
The character design looks pretty mediocre. It’s not good, but not bad either. But we’ll look at the personalities of the characters that we’ve met a lot so far:
Our MC, Naoya, is definitely the best character here. He’s straightforward, honest, and a man of his word. Whatever he says, he will do it like “cutting his dong via surgery” but is easily stopped by the girls because of going overboard. He’s pretty likeable to be honest, and although he might be pretty cringy due to how loud he is, he’s a pretty good boy.
Naoya’s girlfriend, Saki, is what I believe is the best girl of this series. The name alone gives me Oregairu vibes. She’s like the female version of Kazuya from KanoKari with all of the perverted imagination she’s thinking, but not as annoying as you would think.
Nagisa is a good character too. Saki gets jealous of her because of the difference in... assets. I’ll just say that she’s insane, but not the bad type of insane.
As far as I’ve seen, Shino has only appeared for a few scenes so we haven’t got much info about her.
Rika on the other hand, is that streamer shown on Episode 3 and made a debut today. So since we finally get to see her in action this episode, I really don’t have a lot of info about her too.
Sound | 9/10
This is one of the factors that makes this show good. Although the OP and ED are good, the one that’s making this show shine a lot is by means of the acting. My god, who would’ve thought this over-the-top acting can be this good to bring out enjoyment. Yeah it could be loud and such, but isn’t that what over-the-top means...
Enjoyment | 9/10
Ridiculousness and cringiness of this anime aside, the comedy is amazing. It is perhaps the hardest I’ve laughed out of all the 2021 anime I’ve seen so far. Well, to be honest I haven’t really seen a lot of anime released this year, but still. Let me just say the comedy is not as good as The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, but still really good.
The bad aspects from the first 2, aka the absurd story and the clunky animation PLUS the over-the-top acting (good aspect btw) combined together makes it a whole lot better to be honest.
Overall | 7/10
I wouldn’t have thought that I would have given this show a 7/10 but that’s because I’ve enjoyed this anime. Although we’re only 4 episodes into this show, It hasn’t really made me think that this is painful to watch, unlike many who seem to not like this show. It’s understandable that people don’t like this show.
I’d like to see what this show still has in store for us. Maybe more jokes? Who knows? We’ll go sit back and enjoy the 8 episodes remaining.

Ah yes, a Kaguya-sama OVA. It already felt wrong when I saw the Ecchi tag, and I felt that Kaguya-sama doesn’t need to be Ecchi. Buuuuut okay lemme clear it out on things.
The first one where the ecchi stuff happens, it’s what I’d call just an imagination to us because Ishigami was reading an ecchi series but this is pretty lewd. The R34 artists should be proud of seeing naked Chika and Kaguya lol. I don’t mind fan service, but I think this was a bit too much. I had a good laugh though with the conversation with Shirogane and Ishigami. The first half of
...
the episode is literally horny, and then the second half is just Food Wars. I love it when Chika messes up everytime on the judging it’s just funny. The consistency of Kaguya-sama in terms of comedy is still really consistent, and you should give this a shot.

Higehiro was an anime that I just hopped in the bandwagon since YouTube kept putting it on my recommended for like 4 days. I didn’t expect anything much, but here is my honest review about this anime. (Also my review might be incomplete, sorry if I had missing info.)
Story - 6/10
It has a decent story where we have our MC, Yoshida, who was drunk then found a high school girl sitting next to a lamppost and asked what she was doing out so late in the dark. He then asks her to come and stay by his place. Then time went by (like just tomorrow
...
lol) and now our high school girl named Sayu told Yoshida that she ran away from her parents 6 months ago and now is basically homeless, so you know what’s best for her. Yoshida and Sayu are officially roommates, or that’s what I’d call it. Yoshida learns about her past why she keeps offering sex to him after getting picked up so Yoshida has a new goal in mind— to change Sayu’s life and to let her stray away from that life she had. (aka that offering sex life)
Characters - 5/10
I ONLY focused on the 2 main characters. Sayu and Yoshida
Yoshida (9 or 10 out of 10)
He’s by far one of the most respected MC I’ve seen. He’s kind and isn’t a horny fuck. He’s basically the anime version of a gigachad.
Sayu (4 out of 10)
The character in question. Yeah she’s beautiful and all, but the thing that puts her down is the h o r n y. My question is how did you even lead your life here? Like if you get picked up by a man, you just offer them sex, what are you, a prostitute for free? Bruh. I know she has a part time job now as a way to stray away from her past horny life, which is good. (+1, originally rated 3/10)
Art - 3/10
The artstyle is decent though, the animation is okay. There is not a lot to say about it, apart from one thing that this is rated low is Episode 3.
Literally at the first second, sex scene. Anime these days are getting more “hentai-y” and this is another proof of it. The animators just straight up animated an underage girl getting fucked. I know it’s to show Sayu’s past, and I know the age of consent in Japan is 13, but this is messed up. I swear, there are like a lot of people that got caught off guard during Episode 3 because of that.
Sound - 4/10
The sounds are decent, Opening and ED is okay, and I don’t know, there’s not a lot to say about this.
Enjoyment - 1/10
Although I see this anime as pretty okay, I haven’t enjoyed it. I feel that this anime is pretty boring. The only thing I enjoyed was when Yoshida remembered Sayu as the black panties girl, which I laughed at. Sorry that I’m a degenerate
fuck. Nothing else to say.
All in all, I think Higehiro has some room for improvement even though for me, it’s a good anime, but it’s really boring. We’re only 4 episodes in, so my opinion could probably change anytime soon.
NOTE: Please don’t flame me, this isn’t Twitter, and anyone can have their opinions anytime they want.

Oh boy, here’s my first review on an anime... I’m absolutely gonna get roasted by this review. Don’t expect a lot on this okay...
I am into comedy and romance/harem anime, since I want to find out who really is the perfect girl. I found Rent-a-Girlfriend in some videos on YouTube and it looks really amazing so there no doubt that Rent-a-Girlfriend would be pretty good, just by judging it by its artstyle.
Rent-A-Girlfriend is no doubt one of, actually if not, the best anime I’ve seen so far. I’m sorry Assassination Classroom and Saiki K, you were fantastic, but I just absolutely love Rent-a-Girlfriend so much
...
I wished all of these characters were real so that I can embrace them
Story - 7/10
I like the story of how this renting a girlfriend became a part of Kazuya’s life after getting dumped by Mami.
Here’s what I think is the real purpose of renting a girlfriend, it’s to let people who got dumped or to let virgins (like me, wooo virginity rocks) learn about what’s in a relationship and how to deepen the bond that would be useful for your future relationship. In the words of Ruka, they’re basically a trial girlfriend, which you can practice on whenever you finally got the chance to have a girlfriend. (To virgins out there: I’m giving you hope. Don’t give up easily just because you can’t find the one.) It’s a really cool concept but it’s a common thing in Japan where you can rent people like you can rent a mom or a friend like that.
Art - 10/10
Although the animation is decent and is acceptable for me to enjoy, the art style is just phenomenal. I just love the art style like this art style was really meant to give the characters an absolutely spectacular look on them and this is the reason why I was really desperate to watch Rent-a-Girlfriend since February (and at that time, I haven’t searched any good anime websites and only knew of Netflix.) It’s by far the best art style I’ve seen, absoltely smashing my former favorite art style, the JoJo Part 4 artstyle.
Characters - 7/10
Kazuya: He’s pretty scummy not gonna lie. He also has frequent sexual fantasies whenever he thinks about a person like Mami or Chizuru that I am enjoying as well (god I’m so degenerate). He’s hated, which I get why, since that episode where he stalked Chizuru which made me dislike him. He doesn’t deserve a LOT of hate to be honest. He has his good side as well you know? Don’t be pessimistic about this dude.
Chizuru: THE PERFECT GIRL, so far. She’s easily best girl (sorry Ruka and Sumi) but the problem is that she still tries to be nice to Kazuya after all of that horrible things Kazuya has done (like stalking)
Ruka: A really close competitor to Chizuru for best girl. She’s obsessed to Kazuya just because her BPM reached above 90. That’s the only thing I hate about her. Other than that, she’s a total bombshell ngl.
Sumi: An underrated cutiepie. I don’t hear a lot of people saying Sumi is best girl. She’s extremely shy, and doesn’t really talk a lot due to the fact she’s shy. I like her.
Mami: Kazuya’s ex. She wants to ruin Kazuya’s “relationship”. She’s just a total idiot that I can’t even stand at all. She’s the antagonist so far anyway.
Location: Dumpster Fire
Sound: 9/10
I love the opening and the EDs, especially First Drop. Sound effects are really good and all, and I like it, there’s really not much to say tbh.
Enjoyment: 18/10
I am absolutely having a blast watching Rent-a-Girlfriend. There are times that were cringe, but I didn’t feel the cringe at all. It’s like this is my guilty pleasure enjoying and laughing at those sex jokes Kibe and Kuri makes and sexual fantasies that Kazuya imagines. All in all, I love it, absolutely enjoyable.
Overall: 10/10
The enjoyment is just out of the charts and that this is so worth watching it. You might enjoy the little horniness that Kazuya and his friends produce, but all in all, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Can’t wait for S2.
