Regarding the story, it's like a little touch of Barakamon, Haikyuu, Sangatsu no Lion and Ao Ashi.
The relationship between Inori and Tsukasa is like Naru and Handa at Barakamon, which is pretty heartwarming and wholesome between their interaction and also having great impact constantly to each other since their first encounter.
While Haikyuu wise, it's the whole progress of Inori striving to be the gold Medalist, just like Hinata, having various hindrance in their pursuit of greatness, and overcoming the hurdles by not just themselves (of course in a lot of times in their story, it mostly resolves by their own grit and their mental attitude,
...
just like us trying out best in our life!), but also the aid of their mentor/friends/peers/rivals, which subsequently portrays how many good written characters they have just like Haikyuu.
Whereas the similarity to Sangatsu no Lion, is we have Souya Touji resembling a Godlike presence in the prior anime, meanwhile we having Hikaru as the prodigy in this manga, which is similar to Souya's setting, where Inori try her best to battle/match Hikaru as her goal.
The other main trait of this manga is it provided a lot of insights to us about skating, whether is technique/training or rules to be better skaters, which bear a resemblance to an another sports manga which is Ao Ashi that elaborates a lot of football knowledge to us.
Besides story telling method/ambience, the drawings and the storyboard build up is also captivating and immersive, where words are unable to convey the feeling of reading it.
Overall, it is one of the greatest manga I've seen, prompting my first manga review in MAL.
