After 422 episodes, I am finally dropping this Donghua. It started off as a filler to me—you know, something to watch in between while waiting for my weekly faves to release. An isekai type, with new releases every 3 days, OP MC plus the storyline and characters seemed interesting. I got hooked really fast and couldn't wait to see how the storyline would develop. The only problem is over time, it becomes extremely repetitive with little to no character development. The main character is also not a magnet for me. The awkward tsuderery type of harem is also very quickly irritating. There are a ... lot of shows like this one but some of them are very decent. Some of us really love a good story and this one is just diving in every direction and then circling back, old enemies keep showing up, and old acquaintances, encounter persons returning to the point that one might need to go back 200 episodes to find the character that popped up for 30 seconds. Then they try to give said character a purpose, then a mini side story, and then off to some other place. This is a going-with-any-flow storyline/idea. They even throw in a character sometimes I think because I go to rewatch and could not find a glimpse of some people. This is more like a rant than a review I guess. If you have time to burn go ahead and if you are looking for a show with sustenance there are greater options.

If you are used to looking at Isekai /reincarnation animes with the storyline of going to another world or timeline with the overpowered MP, this anime is that and a lot more too, UNFORTUNATELY. I feel as though they could not decide on one genre or a group of genres that meshed well together. the mix of quirky comedy in this Donghua at least for me is not welcome and it takes away from it. How do you go from a top-rated super assassin that could take down a village of mobsters' tone to this outrageously exaggerated comedic childish one? It's almost as though the ... reincarnation messed body mind and soul to the body he took over. All I can say is that it sure has a good storyline but a lot of the enjoyment will get suffocated by the comedy and it would always at least for me feel as though IT's MISSING SOMETHING

In all my life I have watched anime. I have never felt so compelled to write a review. I am usually very fair but this anime SUCKS. Each episode I was hoping that it would get better or someone would do something sensable but this anime makes "no sense". Comparing it to Shiki or Mirai no Nikki is a damn insult and that is coming from someone who is not a big fan of horror animes. I could not laugh at it, or be disgusted or feel pity.........nothing. Listen to me please and DO NOT WATCH IT. If you love a good plot..... ... do not watch it. I feel so robbed of my time. I cannot believe someone wrote this. Only the art had some effort. The characters a bit generic and typical for this type of anime..... pathetic. Lemme stop now...... BOTTOM LINE THIS ANIME IS A SERIAL MURDERER PSYCHOPATHS DREAM and even so the Psychopaths would find it dull and pathetic
