Barakamon is simple, it is fresh, it is peaceful, an anime Slice of Life, to talk about everyday life, but that manages to stand out and many of the other animes of the same genre. It has a curious theme after all, Japanese calligraphy, but that is the a superficial aspect of this anime, because what he really wants to pass on are the bonds that are created between the people and the development of Handa with the question of himself overcoming, of finding his own calligraphy. Handa who was always technical and simple. This anime proves us that in the simplest things, that
...
in what people least expect can be what is really valuable, the true lesson of life.
The characters are all charismatic, all well-crafted, each with their own brand. We start with grouchy Handa, super dissatisfied with everything, which yields the best laughs. And when he joins Naru even more. What about Naru? That little girl who strolls and enchants, the most charismatic character by far, who is showing Handa new perspectives on life, taking root. The most beautiful relationship in this anime, Handa and the kids, how he gets used to it, creating his new routine, opening his range to new experiences and how the relationship flows naturally.
Children are taking that weight off him, that burden of him, of being the perfect one, the first place. Everything very physical, very real. Apart from the main characters, the supporting ones increase the comedy of this anime. All in a light, relaxed and comforting way, the relationship between them can only be described in this way: comforting and familiar.
The line and animation were very well worked, the Kinema Citrus studio achieved an above average production, it did not sin in the quality of the episodes, everything very clean, that fun and beautiful aspect, the scenarios, the environments, everything very clear. What I really highlight in this anime is the incredible soundtrack!
I loved the dubbing, all the characters without missing one, were well cast, giving clear prominence to the voice of little Naru. The sound of this anime is smooth and clear. The opening more than shows you what to expect from Barakamon.
So, I have nothing more to add in relation to this anime, unless you see this work, which for me was impeccable and that made me want more, more and more! And giving a grade, 10/10!
