I'm new to writing reviews but here we go.




Story: 7

-I really like the story, its quite simple but really well done, I wish they could've gone more deeper on other characters and pairings so that we have a nice conclusion on their Love story, but alas, we didn't and we focused on our Main Protagonist which is fine but this anime definitely had potential but didn't quite reach it so that's why I gave it this score.

-the art is generic and its fine as long as it works.

Sound: 7

-I really enjoyed the Opening of this anime and some soundtrack and atmospheric music of it, and yeah, really enjoyed it, i wish they could've just added a little bit more because some soundtrack did get repetitive but yeah, its good.

Character: 8

-I really like Tada. his denseness is reasonable and while he doesn't show much personality, it all bursts in the last 2 episodes which is great to see.

-Personally though I really like Ijuuin Kaoru because he's the type of character that is annoying at first glance but later on we did see that he has reasons as to why.

-Teresa is quite an endearing character, she can be annoying at times but it grew on me and yeah i really like her chemistry with Tada, I just wished she had more personality though because I feel like they just tried to copy Chitanda Eru from Hyouka but the only changed is that she is a princess of a nation.

-Supporting Characters are nice, they aren't bland at all, that's for sure.

Enjoyment: 8
I really enjoyed it, and I am glad I went to this series without knowing anything about it, it's kinda refreshing and I feel like I focused a lot more.

The God of Highschool was the biggest disappointing anime this season storywise, because it just felt so rushed and they didn't even give time to explain what was happening most of the time. so here's my scores for this anime.

Story 4/10
I'm really disappointed for this anime, I don't have high expectations like others when they watched this show, but I really did feel disappointed as well. the thing is, I want to like this anime, and to continue to this, they need a story, we need a build up, but it doesnt happened here, I feel like they rushed the tournament here, I feel ... like they should've focused on the build up so that we can be attached to the characters.

Art 9/10
I like the art Style, It's one of the reasons I've watched it 'til the end, because It looked pretty, and the fighting choreography is great! I feel so hyped seeing the fights! but thats about it. and I also like the character designs.

Sound 8/10
I think the sounds fits the moments, and yeah, I dont have much to say here.

Character 7/10
As I've mention before, I feel like I am not attached to the characters, I don't care about them, and I want to be connected to them, because it's part of the enjoyment of the show, I feel like their dynamic could've been better but it becomes shallow because yet again, the story never told us anything regarding the story.

Enjoyment 7/10
I still enjoyed it, pretty average though, I want to give this anime a 9, I really do, I want to really like it more, but I just cannot like it that much. so yeah.

I am gonna write this review because I want to say my opinions on this anime, and I am gonna make this as short as possible.

First, the Story - I like the story so far, I can confidently say that it has the most simple story. but it doesn't mean it's bad, it just means that you can't really do anything about it being simple because it's a sports anime in highschool setting. these story you can definitely connect to because of how realistic it can be. that said, the realism aspect of it might bore some people because it's not exciting enough for them ... to continue watching it. so with that in mind, I gave the story a 7/10. it's a good story with believable characters and simple (and hard) dream. which is to make it to inter-high.

Art - I like the artstyle, especially the Openings. the animation of the openings is amazing, it's like they spend the most of their budget in it. why did I say that? because the animation is bad, like when I watch this anime, I feel like watching a slideshow with a little animation just to say it's an Anime. so as much as I want to give it a higher score, a solid 6/10 would be the right thing to score it.

Sound - the sound is fair, and it's actually because of the animation that also ruined the sound, like some sounds it doesn't fit the animation because it just wasn't given enough information as to what sound it should play. so 6/10

Character - I'd say they are good, but they are not great. i don't know what else to say here, so I'd give it a 6/10

well, So far I am enjoying this anime because I know that this is like Slam dunk of my generation, and that It's rare to see a good basketball anime. I have been a fan of Sports Anime for years now and some of them are just not that good. this one has potential to be great but the studio that handling it (Diomedea) aren't doing a great job at it (So far) but I have been hook because the story is good and it interest me. so yeah.

I'm gonna keep this short.

Why I like about Slam Dunk the most is the closeness it gets to reality when it comes to the aspects of Basketball. like they don't have this super power or something like that, and it just about a dudes playing their best.

I can confidently say that the story is great, though I don't relate, I feel what the protagonist is feeling at the moment, and the last match brought me to tears (not spoiling anything).

Slam dunk is an embodiment of Basketball with little exaggeration.

the art is very good in their time, But I dig it.

... I really Enjoyed it overall.

I really Recommend you to watch it.
