The movie is very beautiful visually and story-wise. It felt similar to movies like Your Name and Weathering With You, but it had its own charms. The colors and scenes pop out vividly and catches your attention but in a relaxing way.
As someone who lives in a pacific island, the movie felt like home. The scenes of the island and the homes felt nostalgic, and the details were captured well. The story is very well written. Though it felt like Shun didn't reciprocate Mio's feelings enough, that part did feel bothering to me until the end. But given what he's been through and after reading the synopsis, I could kind of understand. Shun did try, and it seems that Mio understood through Shun's walls in the end, given his character, which further encompasses how healthy their relationship is and how they are meant to be together. Both of them want the best for each other and it's been shown throughout the story.
One hour was not enough to truly encompass the beauty of the story the show has. I only wish there could have been more time.
