I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant to write a review on this movie since this is my third review and I thought that I wouldn't do a very good job at conveying the emotions that I have gone through with this movie as well as just how great the movie itself is and how it depicts the hardships of a single mother. Then I thought, I would not be able to live if I had not reviewed this anime and tell people how it changed my life. First of all, this movie is not for people who are looking for action packed shounen
...
plots. However, if you're looking for something that'll make you shed a tear and tug on your heatstrings, then you've come to the right place.
--Story-- 8.15/10
The story is a narrative of a woman named Hana who raises two wolf children by herself after her beloved werewolf husband dies. Though the story isn't anything very original, it's lighthearted and memorable. As the movie progresses, you start feeling attached to the characters as if you've known them your whole life. The only con the movie's plot really has is that the story isn't the most original and can feel predictable at times. However, the characters, the themes, motifs, trials and tribulations of each protagonist that happen throughout the movie all make up for the lack of overall originality of a storyline.
--Art-- 9.60/10
The animation for Ookami Kodomo no Ame and Yuki was very clean cut and simple. Throughout most of the movie, they go to many different environments which really brings out how beautiful the scenery's animation looked. The character's animation was also very fitting and did a fantastic job portraying the way their personalities fit their look, I don't think the characters could have looked any better. However, the animation didn't look very fluid and graceful.
--Sound--9.90/10
Ahh, my favorite part of movie, the music. The OST for Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki is such a calm, simple, heartwarming OST. The music plays at the most convenient of times and really makes the scenes feel very emotional. This music is the kind that you would play while going to sleep or something you would play when your sad to make you feel uplifted and happy. It definitely sends such a positive feeling and is something that makes you appreciate your life and what's to come.
--Character-- 9.90/10
The characters are the most important and do a great job at keeping the movie interesting with what they have to go through. The mother is a nice, caring and positive kind of character. She's really determined and very hardworking. She inspires me so much to be successful and happy with my life no matter what hardships may come in my life. Her kids are also quite the unique bunch. First, you meet Yuki, she's what you would imagine a wolf child to act. Yuki is rowdy, energetic and certainly very destructive. Thankfully, the mother has Ame, the younger brother, who keeps watch over his older mischievous sister. Ame is quite the opposite of Yuki, he's quiet, observant and sensitive. The side characters are also a very nice addition and they really add emphasis on situations that occur throughout their lives.
--Enjoyment--9.67/10
I really really enjoyed Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki. I feel that I've emphasized that enough. Even for non-anime watchers, this movie is enjoyable. I'll certainly re-watch the movie again and I may even buy it on Blu-ray. Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (cyber in-hale) is a movie everyone should watch and will learn a few things from it.
--Overall-- 9.44/10
This is definitely something that you should watch before you die. The movie has little flaws that can be easily overlooked and will touch your heart. I have to admit, I did rate it a bit too high but it really had me thinking and happy. So until next time my fellow anime organisms.

Ohh, Watamote. Where do I begin? I'll just start by answering my own question and basically explain to you the things you will say while watching this:
" Man, I'm so grateful for my life."
"Sadly, I can relate."
"I have so much second hand embarrassment for her..."
" NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO,DON"T DO IT, GAHHH, I CAN'T WATCH HER MESS HER LIFE UP!!"
...
"Tomoko, that's not how life works...*facepalm*."
So that's pretty much all your feels in a nutshell....
--Story-- 8/10
Created by Nico Tanigawa and watched by several idiots, Watamote is about an anti-social 15 year old girl who's always wanted to be popular. In addition, she is somewhat an otaku and very pessimistic yet she thinks very highly of herself. Throughout the series, you get to watch Tomoko's struggle to becoming popular. The anime is episodic so you see something new and weird in every episode, even some ecchi scenes are included in Watamote (how's that for advertising). In most situations, she's the girl anime version of Bad Luck Brian, which, in that aspect, really makes the show hilarious. Watamote is an anime where, whether you like it or not really just depends on your type of humor. However, this brings me back to the "watched by several idiots" part. If you're a person who is "innocent" per say, Watamote isn't for you. I've seen many people saying " This is so inappropriate, it advertises how girls should feel in a wrong way!" I have to disagree with that, now, I understand that some scenes maybe offensive however, it's supposed to be for comedy and it's anime, what do you expect? Not only that, but you learn a lesson from all of the protagonist's faults and if you don't catch the moral of the episode then boiiii, you best be gettin dat education.
--Art-- 7/10
The art style was average. Most of the characters looked like any other typical anime characters and had the same body shape and appearance. The backgrounds weren't anything great, though, they were realistic, but, again, typical. On the upside, the productions did very well depicting the animation to match the look and feels of characters and situations. They also made some scenes quite distinctive from any other comedy anime.
--Sound-- 9/10
The OST is splendid. Both the opening and ending are very unique for an anime like Watamote. The background music does a great job at setting the mood for a situation as well. Sometimes, the sound is very happy go lucky at first then it would languish, depending on the situation. The seiyuu's also did a fantastic job at voice acting, Tomoko's voice couldn't have been any better. Overall, the sound is one of the most memorable parts of Watamote and definitely humorous.
--Character-- 7/10
The characters in Watamote were quite flat. Tomoko is the only actual character the other characters that show up consistently are her brother, Tomoki and her friend, Yuu-chan. The rest of the cast are insignificant and only show up in one episode. With Tomoko's iilogical thinking and werid predicaments. It's nice to have someone like her brother to keep the viewers sane.
--Enjoyment-- 9/10
Despite the flaws, Watamote was definitely enjoyable. I anticipated every episode and every episode kept me intrigued. Whether its's the humor, music, Tomoko, the illogically thinking or even the offensive scenes, this anime is memorable. Watamote is an anime that I will re-watch when I'm feelin down in the dumps, just to get a good laugh.
--Overall-- 8/10
The anime overall was average, however, due to the unique and comedic elements, I rate Watamote with a 8/10. I recommend this to people who are looking for something relatable or amusing. Until next time, goodbye my fellow organisms.
P.S. This is my second review so feedback is much appreciated ^_^
