Only flaws: Censorship and Time Skip [F]
This anime was intended to make money off of Spy x Family. And yet it managed to exceed all expectations.
I cannot describe how exceptional the script of this anime is. The family dynamics in it is very realistic. Miri is one of the most realistic children in all the anime I've ever seen. The life stories of the two parents were wonderfully well written. I believe that if there were more episodes, it would be really nice to see the story of how Kazuki and Rei grew up. Especially with Rei, seeing his and his father's dynamics, and seeing
...
his father's life story would enrich the story. I believe Rei has a lot of potential for character development, because being a father completely changes anyone's life. The voice actors were PERFECT.
From what you can tell, unfortunately this anime was VERY censored. And it lost a lot of character development for the leads. And it's even more disappointing that they made a time skip at the end, which left all fans without hope for a second season.
The disappointment is the same as always: They don't censor anime only in the countries that are obliged to. And they end up impoverishing the works, and not letting the rest of the planet see the full potential they can reach.
But despite all that, Buddy Daddies remains an exceptional work.
