Leaving the polemics involving the Author, Nobuhiro Watsuki aside, Buso Renki is your tipical shonen anime with the protagonist wanting to save everyone and whatnot, but for some reason i liked it enough to watch 2 times (and possibly a third time in the future)

Lets start talking about the plot itself: It starts with the protagonist Kazuki Muto being hitkilled in the very fisrt episode and being revived later by the Kakugane given by one of the most badass protagonists i remember, Tokiko Tsumura.
Kazuki: your typical shonen protagonist that is exactly a copypasta of many other we see around the anime world, both in ... personality and appearance. Some characters like Train Heartnet and Komuro Takashi are similar to him appearance, but whatever. Why i like him? Because as the epsiodes passes, we start to root for a certain couple, and it turns out that this couple happens. Yes, i'm talking about Kazuki and Tokiko. And at least he is not so overpowed like other shonen generic protagonists, but is still a typical shone protagonist.
Tokiko Tsumura: She is the best girl and one of the best female protagonists i remember of in shonen. She has a fierce, badass and violent side, but is also caring and cute. Not to mention that she can be sexy without being hypersexualized, which is a positive thing, comparing to many other shonen. There should be more protagonists like her in the bigger shonen.
Now let's talk about the best redeemed antagonist: Chouno Koushaku, or better yet, Pa-pi-Llon, for those that aren't Kazuki Muto. From a dying young man to a flashy, superhuman urban legend, he is the character that has the best character development. I'm not gonna say more to don't give too much spoilers.
Overall, Buso Renki is a great anime, with the humorist scenes placed in the right time, without being forced, but it's not much more than this. The pacing is somes too rushed, while sometimes is too slow, and due to the fact that it's a 2003 anime, the graphics are outdated, but still worthy watching.
The Osts.
Opening theme: has a energic shonen vibes. It'sthe kind of ost that you could compare to a soldier leaving his family towards a war and knowing that he must come back alive.
Ending 1: It has a romantic vibe of the wife/child of the soldier expecting and wishing for his return. Perfect for an ending..
Ending 2: has nothing to do with anything above written, but it fits perfectly with the redeemed antagonist Paillon. Anyway, these osts are memorable and worthy relistening once in a while.

So far, i could only read 8 of the 24 chapters and i was enjoying a quite lot. I'm a fan of somehwat morbid things like zombies and ghosts and the 8 chapters i read made good use of them. Humour and a tip of horror/gruesome stories are things that i don't resist. For some reason, i could not find the remaining chapters anywhere in the net and the manga is not published in the country i survive. Too bad. The begin is basically the begin of most of the horrors mvoie, but in the very same chapter we can see what makes this manga ... different of the usual zombie related stories. We see zombies as humans, trying to "live" like human beings, in a village where they do everything that a normal human being village would do. They have feelings and in general, they behave, and are humans, but the fear of them will make most of people exclude from the society. This manga will show zombies more like excluded people rather than revived corpses willing to feat on the first human brain they find. It is really worthy a try for those who like me enjoy cute and gruesome things at the same time. Ok, i wrote enough words for someon who could only read as mush as 8 chapter, now MAL, for Haruhi's sake, let me send my review.
