The third season of 'Bakuman.' is somehow different from the previous ones. The art, the sound or the characters haven't changed anyhow. The main difference is in the story.
What I liked the most about this anime was that it depicted the business of drawing manga from within. I mean there were many nuances like telling the wievers how the editoring deparment of Shounen Jump works. The process of working on new manga series, the work of the authors, their assistants, their editors, etc.
That's what was the main theme of this series for me. I'm sure that everybody who has ever read Weekly Shounen Jump manga

I was waiting for this to happen. Cardfight: Vanguard finally has a full-size plot.
In former series the characters just participated in tournaments and rescued the world (or even entire universe). Now they are at school, starting their own cardfighting club. I like the new plot mainly because it features life of high-school students (a very popular theme in manga and anime). There are new characters and some background characters now become foreground. What's more I think that the characters have become some kind of more mature (they are in high-school after all). I think that art has slightly improved compared to the former series. Well... First of all I have to admit that this movie can't shock anybody with any sophisticated plot. To be honest the plot is so irrational and just stupid that any person who isn't a YGO fan would turn it off after first 5 minutes of the film.
Is seems like the director was trying to tell us some story, but he hadn't got enough time so it ended up as a total nonsense. But, let's face it. The plot isn't the thing that is trully important in this movie. What's cool about it are the characters. A fan of YGO of any age can find his favourite ... |
