Maybe its the Nostalgia talking or maybe Im just stupid. But Candidate for Goddess is one of those series that I have always seemed to just enjoy.
Overtime I finish watching it I always find myself hoping to find more. Are some of the characters boring, uninteresting, or a waste? Sure. But I think that is less to do with the actual story than it is the pacing of this story. I mean I believe that this world is too big for a 12 episode series. Heck, even when I went to the manga for a conclusion I didn't get one!

Gantz is undoubtedly one of my favorite manga's that I have ever read. I am not even sure what draws me to it specifically. When people ask me what it's about and I give them the basic run down and then I start to talk about the things that would normally turn people off to reading it. Like the main character is totally a jerk and there are a lot of scenes with rape, nudity, and random murder. But then I usually say "Well thats how it is in real life"

One of my all time favorites. I feel as if Blue Gender is often overlooked and under rated by the anime community because of similarities to other anime. But Blue Gender I think is one of those anime where you can get even a non anime fan to enjoy simply because of its horror and scifi story line. The one complaint I have about Blue Gender is the writing, I feel that the two main characters, Yuji and Marlene, move too quickly in their 'character development'. Maybe I give this anime such 'high' ratings because I can see the potential in it. The story itself, while not original, isnt bad. Its planets of the apes with wizards. I think that maybe if this show laid off the rape/ sex and had better dialogue it could have been much better. The chatters are fair. They have the potential to be great, but the writing doesnt really allow them to develop in a normal way. Things are rushed and never explained. Yu Yu Hakusho has been my favorite anime for over 10 years. The story isn't complex honestly, it's not hard to follow. Some people don't like that about it, but that's what I like about it. Things layer and build up, you have a basic story line and add layers onto it and the layers aren't complex or mind blowing either.
