GTO and Golden Boy are extremely similar in style and humor - both feature honest and hardworking leads who will go to great lengths to make a difference in another person's life. And both are prone to trouble, especially when women are involved. The two shows have their differences though - they're similar enough that I'm absolutely sure anyone who enjoys one should watch the other, but not so similar that either feels like a ripoff.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Both shows are from the same studio, SHAFT, so they share quite a bit in terms of humour and style. Zetsubou Sensei has much more dark humor though, and a more distinct artistic style (in some ways similar to xxxHOLIC). Pani Poni Dash is a little more off-the-wall and random, and focuses quite a bit more on references to other anime and games and such.

Both of these shows follow the same formula, featuring a rough-around-the-edges new teacher reaching out to problem students who eat normal teachers for breakfast. GTO is the funnier of the two by a long shot, but they\'re both quite good.

These series are incredibly similar in their quirky humor, particularly in the way they inject the whole cutesy magical girl stereotype with plenty of gore and brutality. If you like one, you\'ll surely like the other.

Both of these shows come from the same studio, and they have a similar format as well - reimagining classic literature in a different setting. Gankutsuou, for instance, is adapted to involve space travel. If you\'re a stickler for exact details, these probably aren\'t for you. They adjust the plot and such freely, but they try to remain true to the spirit of the original works and reinvent them in a new and interesting way. Some might hold that as a griping point, but I think reimagining rather than just regurgitating is an admirable goal.

Both of these come from the same studio, so they have a lot in common... most noticeably the weird frog and the quirky sense of humor. It borders on being ridiculous, so I don\'t suppose it\'s for everybody, but if this sort of humor suits you then you\'re in for a treat.

These series are extremely similar, sharing the same formula of girls, guns and mystery, as well as a large portion of the crew involved. Madlax is the better of the two in my opinion - they\'re both slow to start, but Noir is a bit shorter on action and excitement until late in the show.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

This seems to be a pretty common comparison - probably because Light and Lelouch are practically the same character. Both shows feature quite a bit more intellectual sparring than your typical shounen fare, and both main characters have very similar personalities (they\'re closer to being villains than heroes) and abilities (ridiculously powerful but with prominent weaknesses that require careful planning to circumvent).

They\'re from the same director, so you can expect the style to be quite similar. Voices of a Distant star is a bit short in comparison, but quite similar otherwise. 5cm doesn\'t have the whole sci-fi element involved though... at least not as it stands after the first episode.

Claymore

Somewhat similar in atmosphere and style, though the plots are quite different. Both feature a quiet lead with an enormous sword, plenty of hacking and slashing in a medieval setting, and a cruel and brutal environment. Berserk is particularly harsh, but living in Claymore\'s world is certainly no cakewalk.
